True. The biggest plus is here probably the bigger screen, enabling you to see more of the playfield. I do think the music for the Atari ST is significantly better, though.

i get that, what i don't get is why it just has to be ridiculously slow at the beginning by the time you actually get faster you're bored out of your mind

Loved this game back in the days. This game nicely filled up the whole screen using the overscan technique which allowed a 736x566 resolution IIRC.

Yes, the early levels are slow. The speed gradually increases from level to level until it gets insane.

That was the whole point of this version, though some of the ghost do jump in later stages.
