Modelling and repetition are two of the most fundamental methods of learning. Teaching is the peak of learning. Keep up the great work and always remember the diverse learning styles of your students.
ArtFX is truly a real man of all seasons. Completely blows my mind with every tutorial.
Thanks buddy! :D
Really like your approach of teaching.
It's the thing I criticise most on other people if they don't teach the technique, but tell you how to make a sound with a new specific resource they created or something, instead of just teaching how they made the resource in the first place.
Already knew most of it, but your explanations are really good, and your style is pristine as always.
Thanks for the kind words!
Yes it's something I always try to do.
you're actually really good at these videos man. i love your attitude toward not hand-feeding people answers like, nah just use the methods in practice. this is real teaching.
Thank you very much for sharing SERUM tutorials, they are really helpful!
dude this is exactly what I've been looking for !!! THANKS

Great vid brother!
Ahah im so stupide I nerver see this when i by serum . And when I by some pack from Echo Sound I saw wavetable but I nerver know before for what exactly I can use it. now I know I can modify the sound . Great great video (and sorry for my English ahah)
How does this work if you've got a sound where the pitch drifts (such as a singer)?
HEEEY ARTF!!! YOO youre a genius man youre craaazy, I have a question tho, how do you know / calculate the right sample amount according to the waves pitch?
EDIT: When you type the key of the sample and then "0" why is it "0" and not I dunno "1" or any other number, what is that "0" telling Serum?
Hey man, thanks for the videos! Is there any chance of a link to get your spectral growl waveforms? :D
nice vocal samplepack!
Awesome! Thanks Artfx :)
Subbed! Love your serum vids man theyre really helpful

Awesome. Thanks, bro!

Solid Advice!
what is your ableton skin?
I have the some i love it . Can't remember where I take it. I just search on Google skin free for ableton ahah
wow
good tutorial!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YES more of this awesome
You're adding extra harmonics with that "zero crossing" technique. Crossfade Edges is a gentler touch.
Broooooo Fing dope. Thanks
Cool. Now I gotta figure out the specifics of how to do this with Waves Codex (I don't have this one).
Hey artfx where can I find that social media layover? I’m starting to make RUclips videos and would like that look for my videos as well.
Mate, your vocal pack is literally the dopest vocal pack out there, I'm getting it ASAP!
Thanks for the info! However, can you explain what you mean by "perfect" wavetable? You don't really specify what the overall goal is here
No Phase Shift and aligned Zero crossings
Hi. Whats the difference between "Import: constant frame size (pitch avg)" selection and the first process you did?
Why is it that when I import some samples, they sounds super weird and distorted? Some times they sound good. Most of the time, they're unusable.
SAAAAAMEEEEE!
And not in harmony.
Depend on what sample is it, by harmonic variance content, make a gentle variation harmonic sample means good vavetable sweep without lot of interpolation, a big harmonic changes sounds weird, and check also the pitch no variation.
A TRUE SENSEI
So whats the sample library again? Jk, i get it, good point!!!
Hello i have a question. I move my sample into serum like u but sound is still like standard sound of serum. Why it can be happened? I try to do it with some different samples but result always the same
Thank you
Make sure you map the LFO to the wave wavetable position to make the wavetable move through all of the different positions. Click on "LFO1" and then drag it onto the wavetable position knob.
Hmm, how do you know what is drift, and what is the natural shape of the waveform?
Do you still make passive income off your sample packs? Just wondering if it’s completely worth it. I know this was 5 years ago. Great tutorial btw
what if your sound hard drifts forward then backwards?
My ableton crashes everytime I try to load a sample in to serum... any idea on what I should do?
Make sure you're using the right version of Serum; 64 vs 32 bit versions. If you try to load up the 32 bit version of Serum in the 64 bit version of Ableton (and vice versa), it'll be unstable.
Awesome
I think Steve Duda has alredy made a tutorial explaining this :p
But great video!
mind=blown
thanks so much!
What if I want to import a sound with a pitch envelope like a 808 bass?
Then you would have to use one of the 'dynamic pitch' modes in Serum, that will try to analyze the pitch and extract the single cycles that way.
goede dag!
+NirajC72 Hoi!
artfx is de man
nederlands ?
Are you dutch?
I love Samplephonics
pcm or wavetable?
Anybody know what Ableton theme he is using
except your fade in / out made an V not an \ creating a beating sound...
Yeah I noticed that too, while it does cross zero it still makes a triangle wave sound between the wavetables.
“And believe me no one makes wavetables better than me.”
lol
great do more wavetables videos
How do I determine the key of an audio file without it being in the name of it?
Put a saw wave underneath it and a long note, then move that note up or down until it sounds in key.
osm bro thk , keep it up
Drop more vids for beginners
All I have to say is that everyone would really benefit from taking some physics because in making the wavetables, there's actually a far more efficient and faster way at getting sick sounds every time, with virtually any wave file. I think I should just do a video toot on it, or maybe I should just make wavetables and sell them. Hmmm.
If you make that video, I'd be interested in viewing it.
You're god damn genius bro! Thanks a lot!
Thanks bro, that helps a lot! You've quit vaping? :)
Anything I drag in serum, even if with the correct pitch, drifts all the way :(
Samplephonics DNB HORIZON
Yes sir!!!
👍

It's not "check out my mixtape fam" anymore, these days it's "buy my serum presets m8"... Question is: do you even music bro?
does it even matter?
whats that skin fam?
Im not sure I really understand the point of this? you aren't actually making a sound just using a sound what to edit it later on?
why is donald trump in ur thumbnail
why is donald thumb in ur trumpnail
Looks like the guy is a suspected white supremacist, but I'll learn game from anyone.
@@hamet1234 shut the fuck up dude. It's just like a face you'd make if something is perfect. Trump is just funny.
orange man bad
You're not learning anything, putting samples into the wavetable section.
You didn't create anything here. The person who created the sample you were using did. You just pressed a few buttons, without ANY creative input whatsoever!
I think Steve Duda has alredy made a tutorial explaining this :p
But great video!
