Hi guys, I can see that Suri are running a 15% bank holiday weekend discount, if you apply my code at checkout you’ll get the extra 5% off to take it to 20% off x
No I think what @nesspadfield means is that adding 5% discount after 15% discount doesn’t equal 20% discount, it technically equals 19.25%. Discount codes and sales are the only time I use maths. Tragic really 😅
Hi Lily, you should have the TrippTrapp high chairs painted the same oxblood colour as your bench and then place them on either end of the table. They will look great.
In terms of the sockets, if the back of the bench can be lifted off, an electrician could easily relocate the cabling from its current positioning, following the cabling run, straight down, under the bench. You can utilise the existing plug sockets you have. (Not unless you felt it necessary to update the sockets so you had USB A + C ports on them, too. You can also get retractable charging leads to, keeping things neat and tidy under the bench.) Socket wiring usually comes from under the floorboards, then goes up ⬆️ the wall. So I imagine it would be straight forward. (For reference - I work for an electrician). 🧡
I actually wear shorts and long sleeves linen shirts or jumpers all the time! 😂 I think it's because 1. I don't like to show too much skin all at once so I like the balance of showing my legs but having my arms covered 2. I live in Copenhagen and it's very rare that it gets so hot that I don't need a layer at least in the morning or in the evening. Max temp is 25 and even that is pretty exceptional. Then usually if I am in the shade even during a sunny day it can get a little chilly. 3. I don't get that cold on my legs, so if I wear shorts with converse and a linen shirt I kind of know that I will be at a comfortable temperature all day. The striped jumper could also really work in spring/autumn with jeans.
Use an extention cord? That's what I do, and you can put it away. Sockets there are also not nice in your back and dangerous for kids. Straw bags: put on some big hooks in your hallway? Or keep some in your car for grocery shopping? Só many questions 🤣: the stripe cardi: for winter (when it's not so cold) ànd summer, when it's chilly! It's défenitely nót a winter cardi, why? Because of the neckline? Nooooo, I have the same and wear it the whole year round ❤
I‘d put the plug socket on one of the wall pillars :) Preferable the left one to have it less visible. An electrician could definitely take care of it but obviously would need refinishing the walls
Hi Lily, I have your current hair length for years now and it works the best for me when I bend the hair little higher up, just beneath the eyes (if that makes sense). I leave the ends straight and it stays curled for at least 2 days 😊
I truly missed you last Sunday. I live in Asia and you've become an essential part of my Sunday afternoon. Your hair really looks lovely and those PJ's are to die for. By the way, the bench is beautiful, your brother-in-law did an amazing job. Liked hearing Grey in the background "our house is a mess"!! Three years ago I gave up on bags. I currently only own business types that you put on your back. The rest I gave away. The wicker ones, I just kept and use them as shopping bags and when for picnics or when I pick flowers. We got have a "room" that we have dedicated to storage (but only mainly for suitcases, and clothing items that we want to save as heirlooms. You might want to keep some of your dresses for Gray or one of your nieces - I have some clothes from my aunt (from the 70s), my mum (80s) and stepmum (90s) whihch I wear all the time as they are just my style. My mum gave away so much of her stuff, which I would have loved to own. It also makes the fashion more ethical that way since it means you will buy quality items and your children will learn that from you. That blue dress is really beautiful. And you never know, maybe 40 year old or 50 year old Lily would want to wear some of these pieces. As long as you don't keep too much, it is a good idea to hold on to some stuff.
You can get the most brilliant "flat" plugs that go in the wall, they're very flat so the bench back would still go against the wall, and they have an extension which you could attach to the bottom of the bench to hide it.
Hi Lily, I like the OB dress, but it is fitted at the top and I can see that would be too much in summer. If you don't love it , move it along I say (same with the blue dress honestly, its fine but just the way you were talking about it means its time to go). ETA: you could put a light milk wash on the table to tone down the yellow if you wanted. Its watered down white paint basically that you apply like stain and rub off. You could test it on the underneath, if it has a finish on the wood you would need to sand it first.
Hi Lily! I actually have a very similar stripped jumper. I get some use of it in colder weather as well. I love it with a light wash jean, or with black jeans. Also i found it looks “cool” with leather trousers or under a leather jacket. I honestly love mine. I agree thats for a bit of in between seasons but i find i reach out for it a lot
Hello! Really nice dining area now! Regarding the plug sockets, look into Sleek socket or some similar covers and extension cable, so you can have some plugs under the bench.
I like wearing "summer sweaters" with wide leg linen pants or straight leg jeans à la Nancy Myers films. (I guess that sounds more like spring weather wear, but we don't get hot summer weather where I live!)
It randomly popped into my head head that a feature wall of straw bags would look so cool. I think it’d need to be a high ceiling area like a hall way and maybe it’s more holiday home vibes but how fun!
Really loved this video! So nice to see a realistic home journey with revamping your dining space. I love what you’ve gone for but also really appreciate seeing the back and forth of working out the balance of practical/aesthetic/realistic. Also loving the wardrobe chat. I think so many of us are doing this now the weather is changing. Some of your comments read it in with what a stylist I’d seen say about deciding whether to purchase something to try and think of it would win out over items you already own. I’ve found it a really helpful mindset but think it could also apply to clearing out. I’m also really interested in your color analysis results. I had mine done over a year ago and have really enjoyed having the information. It’s kind of a funny thing where once you see it, you notice it everywhere. I’ll be in your perspective of the experience ❤.
Hi Lily…loved this weeks vlog! Love your kitchen bench, dining table etc. The fact that it doesn’t all match (think you mentioned this) is much more intriguing to the eye. Love when you were going through your clothes🙂 it was me exactly. Thank you for being so real. That’s what keeps me coming back every week! Take care!
Omg, you inspired me to start a wardrobe clearout! I haven’t a clue what I have in there anymore! Seriously need to go through it all and have a good old spring clean! 😅
Go for the shorts even when it’s mild! I love a short and jumper/shirt combo. So flattering, makes a change and it doesn’t have to be hot summer weather to get the legs out 🙏🏻
The pink and orange dress looks great on you. I wear that type of dresses during the week with sneakers or loafers. I am not comfy in jeans all the time. I would pull up the sleeves if you find them to short.
That bench is so beautiful. I love the waves! Can't wait to see it with the cushions. I like the table, but I do feel that its colour needs to be changed.
The shorts and jumper look take great together, I often need a light jumper in summer as being in Scotland it’s rarely extremely hot and can get cooler at nights. Also the jumper would be great with jeans or trousers in Autumn too. Also love the straw bag collection!!
Can you use an extension cord from another socket when you’re working at the table? Then just put the extension cord away when you’re done working. You could even store it in a cute wicker basket under the bench! Less expansive than new plugs.
Hey Lily 🤗 I honestly think the tops you put with denim shorts can be worn with denim jeans….I don’t look at any of my jumpers (by there design) as summer jumpers, a jumper is a jumper and when I wear it depends on the thickness of it but maybe that’s just me…. I could see that & other stories stripped jumper with blue jeans and sandals or trainers…That shirt you just tried on at the end, again could be worn with jeans rather then shorts in spring / autumn, on those in-between times…Try not to over think things but of course what you feel is your style is important for you 😊 xxx
Long sleeve shirts are for layering in the summer! Shorts with a tank top with a long sleeve shirt is my uniform for summer. That way you can get it off when it's really cold and have it on when you feel cold or when you're in an airconditioned area. Also if I wear very short shorts with a tight tank top I feel exposed sometimes since so many areas of my body are visible so long sleeved shirt for the rescue :)
I LOVED the pink dress but the second you put the blue one afterwards, it was a transformation 💙 I can't quite explain it. Like the dress wasn't wearing you? Interesting. I'll be intrigued by the colour analysis now
Summer jumpers? Yes someone to agree with, when do you wear them? I feel we go from winter straight into summer with a week of actual proper spring! and I totally agree with the Cornwall jumper vibe, I have a striped jumper and struggle to style it😅 without looking grandma un-chic ….
Hi Lily! Would you wear the stripped jumper with light coloured jeans on colder days in summer or in the transitional months? That’s when I wear my light weight jumpers!
I also don’t know where to keep my bags! Some of them are quite old but I still love them but I also love bags and keep buying them! Would love to hear from other people any tips on how to store bags! 🙃
@lilypebbles...you did make me giggle when you said you were into colour wearing your black t-shirt and showing us a black dress 😂 , black, colour whatever - you are and look fab
Another great vlog, thanks Lily. Can i ask if you've put those pyjamas though a regular wash? Was tempted as they are so cute but website says dry clean only?? for cotton pjs??
Hi Lily! Once you are able to get rid of the highchairs would it make sense to have a bench (matching the table colour) made instead of getting 2/3 chairs? That way you could tuck it under the table so you don't lose walking room & you can fit more people around the table (comfortably)? Love love love the oxblood colour !! Have a great bank holiday x
I have that exact same Other Stories jumper and I wear it all the time in spring & autumn, with jeans, with chinos, with joggers, working from home and out and about. I don’t live in Cornwall or near a beach 😅 I have a typical UK cities lifestyle
The table would also look super nice if you would paint it to match the color of the kitchen furniture, there is already a pop of warmth from the rattan in the chairs 🤷🏻♀️ the bench would also stand out more
Can you fade the table on purpose? Put a treatment on them and leave in the sun? Also paint the chairs oxblood and leave on the side where you have them.
Same with clothes year after year, seems like you should keep something if it’s still good but I don’t really like the same thing or does it all sute me after another baby- the struggle 😄
I’d love to encourage you to donate the clothing that doesn’t suit you anymore to a charity shop, rather than reselling it. For many years we were on a tight budget and I dressed my family from thrift and charity shops and lovely clothes in good condition were such a blessing.
Tbh no long video is long when im watching your videos... waited for days for your upload so the longer the video i feel like my wait was worth it hahahaha just saying
Love the new bench, looks soo good! have a look at the IKEA junior chairs called AGAM or INGOLF, they are like adult chairs, just a bit slimmer and taller and would blend in really well! have a good bank holiday 😊
For the bag "storage". I have a standing hanger thing.. I actually am not sure the proper name for those🙈 but it's, like, a pole with hooks😂 Anyway, I have one of those and that's where I hang my bags :)
Hi Lily. I wanted to order through your link, however the website only gives 15%, instead of 20% that you mentioned in your vlog. Can you please confirm if there is an additional code?
Hi! I just went on the website and the 15% off is the current promo on their website. When you check your cart, Lily's code is automatically applied if you clicked on her link. Hope that helps
I've just ordered and if you use the link in the description when you hit check out it automatically adds the extra discount code without needing to do anything. I've gone for the green colour 😍 looks so gorgeous for a toothbrush!
Disagree about the striped sweater being a summer sweater. Stripes are year round! Also...keep the neutral linen sets and pair them with colored things
Since my body has much so much after giving birth for almost 4 years ago summertime is no more my favourite time of the year to find something to wear. Some body parts are bigger and my belly is an area that makes difficult to find cool clothes! It’s very annoying!
Sorts through multiple fast fashion pieces, says “too many things to keep” in the exact same video as promoting one sustainable toothbrush, that’s funny
I would put the high chairs at the ends of the table not in the middle. I live in Arizona and always wear a button up shirt with my shorts. It is my staple as the stores are air conditioned and I like to cover my arms.
Hi guys, I can see that Suri are running a 15% bank holiday weekend discount, if you apply my code at checkout you’ll get the extra 5% off to take it to 20% off x
hi
That's not quite how percentages work. But close enough.
@@nesspadfield I wasn’t aware of the 15% discount happening the same time and will be feeding back to the brand that it’s a little confusing
No I think what @nesspadfield means is that adding 5% discount after 15% discount doesn’t equal 20% discount, it technically equals 19.25%. Discount codes and sales are the only time I use maths. Tragic really 😅
@@ellen9018 Ok howww? I'm terrible at percentages. Can you explain please?
Hi Lily, you should have the TrippTrapp high chairs painted the same oxblood colour as your bench and then place them on either end of the table. They will look great.
That’s a great idea x
Brilliant
Love that idea.
Yeh. Colour aside, we tried having one on each end as it definitely fits the table more but they like being next to each other ❤️ so it didn’t work
I suggest the same, high chairs on either end.

I agree, I do this in Australia for sun protection, love a long sleeved shirt for a beach day ☀️
I use long sleeved shirts exactly the same way, they're so versatile :)
I completely agree. As soon as the sun sets or I’m in the shade I want a jumper, even if around my shoulders before needing it fully on
I’ve spent my Sunday mornings watching your vlogs for so many years now, I love it ❤

Please keep the striped jumper for Spring and Fall, it's a classic and those puffed sleeves are such a great update!
Grey or Rudy: "Our house is a mess" 😂😂 Made me laugh so much ❤
I love my lifetime long, little ritual on Sunday’s that only include myself and this community ♥️
❤
Love this ❤️
That Oliver bonus dress is gorgeous!!! Colours really suit you
The orange and pink dress looks so good on you!

You can get the most brilliant "flat" plugs that go in the wall, they're very flat so the bench back would still go against the wall, and they have an extension which you could attach to the bottom of the bench to hide it.

Striped jumper would work in the fall with dark denim. I also run hot but love stripes. I use them during shoulder season - spring / fall.

We ended up switching to regular chairs with an ingenuity booster seat. I do miss the foot rest but we have a small kitchen and it has worked well!
Stripy jumper is a keeper! Wear it with jeans or black wide leg trousers (or navy, if the stripes are navy)
Hi Lily! Would you wear the stripped jumper with light coloured jeans on colder days in summer or in the transitional months? That’s when I wear my light weight jumpers!
We love the IKEA AGAM high chair. They have it in black and white and they are very lightweight but sturdy enough
I was going to say the same! We have the Agam and it’s great for kids that can sit on a chair but just need a bit more height
Oh my God Lily, the striped summer jumper, I feel seen! That summer in Cornwall look, I just can't make it work in an Irish summer!
Love your sunday morning uploads!🥰like catching up with a good friend! Off on mom duty for the ret of the day ;)
I also don’t know where to keep my bags! Some of them are quite old but I still love them but I also love bags and keep buying them! Would love to hear from other people any tips on how to store bags! 🙃
I went for under the bed!
I love the red. Please can I ask what paint / shade this is? ❤
@lilypebbles...you did make me giggle when you said you were into colour wearing your black t-shirt and showing us a black dress 😂 , black, colour whatever - you are and look fab

Can you fade the table on purpose? Put a treatment on them and leave in the sun? Also paint the chairs oxblood and leave on the side where you have them.
Hi Lily, I thought pink really suited you! Maybe the colour consult will bring some surprises. Hope the UTI has been sorted - it's the worst!!!!
Same with clothes year after year, seems like you should keep something if it’s still good but I don’t really like the same thing or does it all sute me after another baby- the struggle 😄
Lpve the bench! You brother in love is great!!
The striped jumper you should definitely keep - wear it in spring x
I’d love to encourage you to donate the clothing that doesn’t suit you anymore to a charity shop, rather than reselling it. For many years we were on a tight budget and I dressed my family from thrift and charity shops and lovely clothes in good condition were such a blessing.
Yep I always make sure to do vinted, charity shops and friends and family (and recycling for anything not wearable)
What about a darker stain on the dining table? A walnut colour would go so beautifully with that bench colour! 🤩
It’s so annoying as the table is wood but the top layer is veneer which is harder to stain and sand. Still looking into it!
Tbh no long video is long when im watching your videos... waited for days for your upload so the longer the video i feel like my wait was worth it hahahaha just saying
Could you try the stain thing underneath the table? Sorry if this has already been mentioned 😅 can’t be bothered to check comments lol
I did a patch test of a colour under my table. If the colour would have been a fail no one but me would have know :)
Love your fashion content! Excited for part 2!
I only have like 5 bags all kept in their dust bags on my top wardrobe shelf x
Love the new bench, looks soo good! have a look at the IKEA junior chairs called AGAM or INGOLF, they are like adult chairs, just a bit slimmer and taller and would blend in really well! have a good bank holiday 😊
Omg ha! Never seen so many straw bags😂
I love your every day makeup, especially when the lipstick wears off😂 is it weird to like it better without the lipstick😂
I love the color of the table. I'd paint your kids high chairs the color of the bench. Or at least paint the white one black.
For the bag "storage". I have a standing hanger thing.. I actually am not sure the proper name for those🙈 but it's, like, a pole with hooks😂 Anyway, I have one of those and that's where I hang my bags :)
I love your blue dress 😢
Could you sell the high chairs and get new ones for a wash?
They’re currently running a 15% code, which is a bit confusing, but if you add my code in at checkout it takes off the extra 5%! Hope it works for you
I've just ordered and if you use the link in the description when you hit check out it automatically adds the extra discount code without needing to do anything. I've gone for the green colour 😍 looks so gorgeous for a toothbrush!
Your table will fade in the sunlight. We had the exact same issue but over the course of a couple of years it’s faded a lot.
Could you get that Oliver Bonas dress tailored? Perhaps take the sleeves off?
Yes to the topshop, what the brand, and arket bag, no the the white company and press gifts
I really enjoyed this !
Love the table colour, maybe stain the other cooler wood to match the table x
The table looks nice!
Jigsaw do good high waisted flared denim shorts…..thanks for another good vlog :)
If it was me I would consider white washing the table, that's what I did to my IKEA Ivar cabinets
Lily, maybe uniqlo cross body bag in straw are more you these days than the bigger bags :)
Straw bags on a pretty large hook…. Easily accessible
Lily, which steam iron would you recommend?
I have the Steamery one!
Try a small area under the table to stain
What about the plugs behind the bench
Paint the high chairs the same as the bench
Gloss is what you use for woodwork trim and doors etc. it’s wipeable. matte will scuff and mark with no recourse
Morning!
I love the intro 😊
Disagree about the striped sweater being a summer sweater. Stripes are year round! Also...keep the neutral linen sets and pair them with colored things
UTIs are the worst! Hope you’re better now
Do you guys have sushi hand rolls in the UK?
Yep
Ahh cool. I was listening to a podcast and the guest (who works in the Uk) says they don’t have hand rolls. I thought I’d ask ☺️
Not keen on the short sleeved blue shirt, looks pyjamary. The last shirt does suit you :)
