Knobles is one of my favorite amusment parks . I will always, always come here someday I am going to nring my kids here the twister is one of my favorite coasters.Last but not least the bumper cars. I love it I will always cherish this park
Knoebels isn't my homepark by any means as I'm a New Jersian, but it's been ingrained in my memories. I've been coming to this park since I was in diapers, my old gym teacher from elementary school used to work there in the summer months and I used to see her each time I'd go to the parks, Twister is proudly my first big kid roller coaster and one of the best memories I have with my now late father. With such a calm and comfortable atmosphere, awesome food and entertainment, free parking and admission, as well as pet and people friendly, this park is such an amazing park for any and all ages
Good review, but I would have emphasized the "free-admission" part, which includes free parking and allowances for bringing in your own food. Here's the effect of that: Families can easily include small children, babies, grandparents, pregnant women, the disabled, and anyone in between; you see all ages at Knoebels because it doesn't cost grandma an arm and leg to accompany her grandchild to the park. The difference in Knoebels' demographic is striking to me, and as an older guy, I appreciate not having to pay an entry fee and a parking fee, as well as for overpriced, mediocre franchise food just to ride a couple of rides. This was the old model of amusement parks in my day. Theme parks have eliminated too many people with their exorbitant prices, which are great for investors but not so great for many of us. With Knoebels' pay-per-ride, great in-house food, comfortable atmosphere, good coasters, and classic flat rides, they're at the top of my list of amusement parks.
Honestly, I grew up loving Knoebels. Watching the POVs of the rides when I was too scared to go on them. The first time I went to Knoebels was when I was 2. I don’t remember much, my mom just told me we started going when I was 2. 11 years later, I’m 13, and we’ve been going there every summer. We absolutely love it there. Prices are reasonable, rides are loads of fun, and the food is to die for. If you’re in the PA area, you should definitely take a trip out to Knoebels, in Elysburg, PA!
My whole family comes together every year even before I was born. So I grew up camping there every September it’s amazing. I have so many memories and I’m excited to go back in 3 weeks :)
My parents took us here 3 times when I was a kid and it holds a place in my heart. Adult life is really busy now and who knows if I'll ever get to go back so thanks for thia content. Its good to see it hasnt changed at all in the last 15 years.
Should have started with the fact that it is a free admission, free parking amusement park where you can bring in your own food. It makes this a very family friendly, economical place to spend the day. They also have free entertainment throughout the day. I don't enjoy rides, but love to go here and just walk around and people watch. There is also a sit down restaurant if you want something other than fast food. And the ice cream creations at the Old Mill are unbelievable.
The park I grew up going to. Along with my parents and grandparents! The absolute best for anyone from Central Pennsylvania. I live in Hoosierland and need to get back!
I have been to knoebals so many times! It's so fun the great rides for all ages! Theres not many reviews on youtube about it so i'm glad someone finally did! Hope poi have fun !
YES! The first time I ever went on Power Surge, which I believe they no longer have, I started singing that. The girls across from us just laughed and joined in. Was a damn good time!
Knoebels is my favorite amusement park, and I've been to quite a few amusement and theme parks. It's about a three-hour trip one way for me and I'll gladly make that trek several times a year. My favorite coaster there is actually Twister because of the speed and intensity, but Phoenix runs a close second.
As far as wide selections of food, the International Food Court (4 stands-4 different ethnic menus) by the Black Diamond shouldn't be missed. Breakfast food served from 8 am (before rides open) to 2 PM is a perfect start to a weekend. The pancakes are awesome.
Just a quick note for you. The Black Diamond was org on Hunt's pier in Wildwood NJ till they closed. It was then called The Gold Nugget. In it's life there it's estimated that 1.5 million people rode it. Way way way back when I even worked the ride there. The top part was open to let people see all of the beach and board walk with some gag's working before you took that first dip into darkness. Knoebels bought the track and cars and rebuilt it. I am hopping to someday get to ride it again.
I go to knoebels every year since I was born like omg I love knoebels so much were their for around eight day a year and the food is awesome and really pet friendly
I’m going there July 19th to the 21st. I’ve been going every day since I was very young. I remember not being tall enough for the swings so I wore some high heel sandals, the person that was working the ride ended up noticing but they still let me in. One of my favorite memories..😂
Love their kettle corn, fresh cut fries, chicken and waffles.....+all the food you tried Great food great park been going there since I was a kid (I’m 67)... Lots of the same rides plus tons of new ones... I live about an hour away...
I've been going to Knoebels for 60 years. My grandparents owned a cabin just after the entrance to the Campground. Thank you for visiting and letting the world know about our hidden gem!
You call them rocket ships...We had those at the annual visiting fun fair here in the UK and it was called the dive bomber Thank you for a great video..
Hi -you two are perfect for Knoebels! You might have noticed it is a time machine back to privately owned parks planned for working class people and their neighbors. I sense that you got that in your appreciation of the uniqueness of the park. You missed the roast beef dinner for a bit more than $6.00 as well as a pretty large in park restaurant also good. Phoenix is a beloved coaster not for speed or height but “charm”. Every train returns to station full of smiling people . There is more for you to see on your next trip. You did a great respectful job reviewing this park . Thank you
Silver rotating capsule ride was called the Roll-o-Plane, atleast that was the name when Kennywood Park outside of Pittsburgh PA had one. It’s a fun ride!
Knoebels Amusement Park is the park located at Elysburg, Pennsylvania, in the United States of America. There are the attractions at the day, afternoon, evening and also on the night.
I went this past weekend and had a blast. I was sad to see that the potato chip stand was gone. I hadn't been to Knoebels in years, but the last time I was there they had a stand where they made potato chips fresh in front of you. These were the best potato chips I'd ever had and was looking forward to having them again. My son and I were so disappointed. Other than that the park is great and I prefer it to the state fair. More rides and cost efficient for a family.
when I was a little kid I remember my dad performing at Knoebels and we would always stay up late riding the rides then we would go back to our house(which was right in front of Pheniox) and we would sleep.
I have been going to Knobels since I was tiny and at the park there is a building that looks like a bread loaf and in the 25 years I’ve been going no one can tell me what the bread building initially was.
In general, the rides are better at later times in the day. Especially rides like the Phoenix, twister, the haunted mansion and my personal favorite the ferris wheel.
Awesome video and very informative! We are heading out to the US in 3 weeks time. We’re spending 3 weeks at Cedar Point, 2 days at Kings Island, a day at Kennywood and for the last day, thinking of doing Knoebels and Hershey Park. Is this feasible based on your experience (Knoebels and Hershey in same day)? We are mainly coaster fans but do love classic flat rides and Knoebels seems to have plenty!
The Phoenix- if I wanna crack my hips. The Twister- if I wanna crack my back. 😂😂 Also fun fact: the haunted house has been the same since my parents were young and they’re in their 40’s!
I am beyond thrilled that you gave my hometown park some love! Knoebel's is unlike any other amusement park in the world.
I am on way home from it right now (i don't live there)

It's a great place to take the family on a budget. Free parking, free entry, and you can bring your own food.
Yes! And if you get a handstamp, you don't even need to pay to go on the rides!

The Alamo restaurant is great there. Very affordable and good food.

I love the ride with music, lights indoors
Dick Knoebel had a "Hold my beer." moment with The Phoenix.
YES!
More like, " Don't believe me just watch!"
Yup.
And then a second time with Flying Turns.
Best fries are next to the loaf, funnel cakes are a must have, and ceasers pizza is a must have. So much great food in this park

Phoenix is the best ride ever!!!! Awesome air time.
Great Video!!!! I use to work with a guy, Who was from Pennsylvania. He said that this was his All Time Favorite Amusement Park. F+L, Corey
That classic Tilt a Whirl... Reminded me of the "Explorers" movie
Well, I never saw that movie I don't know what you mean but, it was one of my favorite rides!
This park in my opinion is the best amusement park round PA’s entirety
Awesome video of Knoebels, I have heard that the food there is amazing.
Trust me it is.
The pheinex is awsome! I've been on it
I like Knoebels Crystal Pool. Their waterpark is small, but a fun way to cool off during the Summer.
Ugh I love knoebels!!
The coster at 17:42 is like the worst RMC raptor of it was real lol (it would actually be a Trex cus the seats are two across)
I been going there for 16 years and I would camp out each year in the cabin
Always get sides of bbq sauce, pickles, onion, and jals. First two rides look fun,,,back to viewing.
This park is like someone made it in rollercoaster tycoon, and made it irl
knoebels locals representing
25:22 does not go upside down. It spins at the top.
Swagger Son Yea it does how u gonna tell me if I was just there yesterday???
Juan Lopez what?
Swagger Son correct I have Ben operating this ride for years and it does not go upside down
When I rode the whipper I did the whip on the corners basically I was whipping the whipper
i go to this park every year with my family
I was hoping for a more food review they don't HV many on RUclips
when I was a little kid I remember my dad performing at Knoebels and we would always stay up late riding the rides then we would go back to our house(which was right in front of Pheniox) and we would sleep.
Yayy this is my park the one I go to every year
I love Knoebels even the phoniex I'm not scared and I'm 9
Nothing new for me, worked here for three years this is my fourth. They treat their employees just as good as customers
The homemade pierogi’s are over by the Ferris wheel. They are a lot better than the ones by the haunted house!
I have been going to Knobels since I was tiny and at the park there is a building that looks like a bread loaf and in the 25 years I’ve been going no one can tell me what the bread building initially was.
love the video guys!!!!!
I’m having my baby shower at Knoebels! ❤️
Did you have it before the virus
Whoever knocked you up did a good job picking a mother
john cuervo Sarcasm or? And the baby shower never happened 😌
In general, the rides are better at later times in the day. Especially rides like the Phoenix, twister, the haunted mansion and my personal favorite the ferris wheel.

I loved Knoebels ever since I was 2 years old.
Are the rides fat friendly ?
I remember when the waterpark was closed so sad I camp there you should try it
The Phoenix- if I wanna crack my hips.
The Twister- if I wanna crack my back.
😂😂
Also fun fact: the haunted house has been the same since my parents were young and they’re in their 40’s!
The Phoenix is also nicknamed “airtime buffet”
Why is the section with the Twister coaster going in reverse?
Did you do back seat Pheonix?? How about it
Out of curiosity, why do you pronounce the K in "Knoebels"? I thought it was a silent letter.
Matthew Robertson the K is not silent. Dan said it correctly
It's German.
This was posted on my birthday! 😱
17:26 *whispers* damnit
Did it take you a long time to get there 🤔but I live in Lebanon so I go there a lot
For the rides you can’t bring dogs on where do you put them if everyone in your party is wanting to go on the same ride
lmao, in Black Diamond all my friends do is just commentate in it and we laugh our asses off.
Why is there a jack-o-lantern there? Did u go there in October?
I went on the cosmotron last year they had to stop the ride because it was to much for someone’s stomach
Why is twister backwards
Where's the potato and BBQ barn??
Brian Keller near the Haunted Mansion. Face the front of the Mansion and look to your right, small red building.
Did you not do the haunted mansion?!?
They did the haunted mansion. They just didn't film themselves actually on the ride.
