One of the few bands not from my country I like. These, the Vandals, Gimme Gimmes, I suppose Reel Big Fish back in the day. Other than that I’ll stick to the hundreds of bands in the country I live/exist in.
Anyone know if this album was released on Toxic Shock Records before or after it was released on Metal Blade Records? The CD I have of it is on Metal Blade Records.
Jesus christ it's a funny punk song . "Hey hey look at me. Everything has to be about my personal political agenda. I have no mind of my own , but feel a sense of superiority making bot like posts"
@@chriskennedy2298 It's not political. It's a factual, stark contrast from how stuff used to be and how it is now. Homosexuality is funny to you? That sounds like you airing your personal opinions. What you're doing by commenting is no different. Jesus Christ, stop being such a baby about it. Bots would delete my comment for going against the agenda, buddy. Also, calling someone a bot is such an NPC thing to do. Be original. Punk used to be about being original and offending people, now it's about being offended, judging by how you react to opinions. Go to the emo scene if you want to cry this much. Way to take things way too personally lol waaahh
1) I've encountered several ppl who've watched John Water's library who actually are homophobic 2) This song isn't particularly homophobic as there's even a line about "it's okay if other guys are gay" which for it's time was pretty progressive to even say, unless you're one of those who conflates homophobic with heterosexual. 3) Some of the stereotypes in the song could be seen as transphobic 4) this is in no way is a defense of who you responded to or a refutation of it being done ironically
@@sarascruggs3868I dunno if he actually ate dog shit, I mean it’s a film right? Pictures being manipulated and all that. Fucking good song all the same.
Was a joke about conversion therapy as his denial breaks down. Just like the rest of his denial failing to work, though, it's obvious this won't work either. Thus the no, no, no, no, no.
Simply the catchiest punk song of all time. Intro should be required listening for all humans

Hey, it looks like it was originally released on Toxic Shock in 1989 and didn't appear on Metal Blade until 1994.

Oh, OK, thanks for the info. I got my CD used around 2001 or so. Great album!!!
Haha, spot on lyrics for current times!
This aged so well from absurd to what people actually act like, including parents towards their children.

I hope you realize this song is ironic.

What is the intro clip from? Is it from a movie?
It's from the John Waters movie Female Trouble from 1975.
@@folkblacklyricsThanks, I've been wondering what it was for years!
Yeah I was wondering that too
There’s a scene in that movie where Divine, I believe Water’s favorite actor, eats the feces directly from a poodle.
