This is an excellent video that helped me very much. I thank you and send my respect. I am building my first 4-speed and it's a late 77 to 79 V-Twin mfg case. I don't want to disparage but the case is less than what I anticipated with the tolerances. I also had to ream 0.003 off the cases countershaft bushing holes which were supposed be about 1.125-1.126 for interference fit. Main shaft 4th gear race was also a pain to install. After building a full new S&S shovel where all parts were amazing, this has been a trial 🙂. QUESTION - do I have to install the mainshaft first?
I’ve had my troubles with other V-twin Mfg. parts so I understand. As for what goes in first, you do have to put the main shaft in before you put the counter shaft in. I’m glad my video helped and thank you for watching. If you haven’t, please subscribe.
