I bought two enduro xt1,s this year. One for me and one for my son in law. We both love em. Best turning radios of any lawn tractor. What a shame they didn't have cub cadet hats.

Been running an XT2 w/Kawasaki now since these new models came out 3-4 years ago. I really can't complain. From what I hear they are light years better than previous models....the total redesign was well worth it.

I have the XT1 with the 18HP Kohler, 2 years on it so far no problems at all, and runs my 42" snow blower just fine. Much better than the Craftsman YT4000 Briggs & Stratton engine I had previously....that thing had several issues so bad it would randomly shut itself down while mowing and couldn't get it started for several hours afterwards.
Eventually I'd like to step up to the XT3 garden tractor, but I'm in hopes by then that they've redesigned them to have a PTO like the old Cub Cadet garden tractors had.

I just bought a XT1 and would have bought a XT2 or 3 if they had one in stock. The XT 1 is the very best tractor I have ever had a pleasure to drive. The cut is amazing the ease of how well it cuts. From the engine to the seat everything is perfect.
Thank you Cub Cadet for the quality and that it's MADE IN America! I love it. idaho.

We have a Tractor Supply in town that sells Cub Cadet lawn tractors and walk behind mowers...I think you need to look into giving Tractor Supply dealer rights, give them everything Cub Cadet as well as the UTV's and let them sell it all, we don't have a tractor dealer or ATV/UTV dealer here in town so stuff like that would sell well I think. I'm pretty sure my local Tractor Supply has sold at least a couple dozen XT's so far this spring, outselling the Huskie machines sitting next to them, and they've sold a few of the Cub Cadet Zero Turns too. Just bought an XT1 42" with the 18HP Kohler...so far I can say its much better than the 8 year old Craftsman POS it replaced.
How about bringing back your Compact Utility Tractors too they'd really sell here too.

@Jim Marcum I have the XT1 42" 18HP model, does a great job mowing my lawn, I mow about an acre. I ordered the 42" 3 stage snow blower last year and only got to use it once on 8" of snow but it did great, initial install was time consuming but installation this fall shouldn't take nearly as long. Loving my Cub Cadet...only wish I was able to afford the XT3 garden tractor but the XT1 will have to do for now.

I bought the Cub Cadet XT1 Enduro with the 547cc engine. It is a really nice lawn tractor. However, I wish now that I had bought the XT2 with the fabricated deck. I am considering drilling some "drain holes" for the stamped deck where the outer edge is rolled up, which holds water after washing, and spraying the holes with a protective coating (or rust preventative paint) to keep the drilled metal from rusting.

I bought a Cub in 2015. It still looks great. It doesn't run anymore, but it looks great. The Kohler Courage died after 60 hours. Kohler doesn't make the engine anymore and says I should " just buy a new mower".

I have 27 hours on my xt1 it still looks new. Really liked the way it ran and cut but I'm already having issues with the safety or electrical system. Mine has the push in plastic magnetic key with the hour meter and bluetooth module. The digital readout on the hour meter shows the hours when you push the key in and any saftey warnings such as seat, brake or pto, and will not let you make a unsafe start. When I push my key in the readout screen has rE on it and will not start. I called cub cadet and asked what this code was and they had no clue. They just told me to take it to a dealership that could scan it. Of course I've had it just long enough for the warranty to be out by a few months. I was trying to decide between this mower and a husqvarna and decided on the cub cadet. Wishing I had went with the husqvarna now. Last mower I had was a husqvarna and I had no problems at all with it until I lost it in a bad flood. It ran for years with no issues at all.

They don't make em like they used to. My JD still has original deck spindles from '96. That tractor spent years mowing very thick PA farm turf and I just had the deck(48c) welded because of cracks. Ask me about the JD cart that my dad and I hauled tons of rocks in. I don't know but it was white in color for some reason, and even without the back in place it was very servicable. Compare that with the plastic stuff nowadays; of course it would be expensive but what hell if it got your kid to brag about it 40 yrs later on YT I say money well spent. I was at JD dealer a few yrs ago and wasn't impressed.

    • @JoshAllen17Goated

The only one is the XT3 which is based on the old 2500 series which had plows, tillers, rollers, arrerators, dethatchers, and any sleeve hitch attachment you could ever want! As well as a snow plow and snowblower. So the XT3 can most certainly use ground engaging implements, it uses the BDU10L which is made by hydro gear, also happens to be there top of the line hydro pump, the XT3 has a transmission that is equivalent to the k72 in the john deere x500 series.

Cub Cadet should come out with a pro series Garden Tractor. Basically its the XT3 but with some improvements. The frame, and hydro are the same as they are perfect for this build! The hydro is ground engaging. They should have a steel hood, stay with the electric lift and power steering, but have electrical connections at the front for a snowblower, plow, front broom, bucket. They should come out with a electric sleeve hitch with 2 different 30 inch tiller options, one hydraulic and one mechanical. They should have 2 engine options, the Kohler Command Pro series 25, 28, 31 hp as well as a efi option in the command line, as well as a Kohler agies liquid cooled 25, 28, 31, 35 hp options. The mower decks would be fabricated and stamped from 42 to 60 in both lines. A front brush guard standard. A moldboard plow, disk harrow, chisel plow and seeder. As well as a cultivator. They would also have a diff lock. And the seat would be electric adjust, and lumbar, as well as angle, with arm rests, it would be an air ride seat. As well as being heated or cooled by the press of a button. They would be called the XT4 line. The normal XT4 would have the kohler command engines, while the XT4L would have the kohler agies liquid cooled engine. They would retail for around $8500 for the XT4 line and for the XT4L line they would start at $9000.

As a new comer to riding mowers I wish that Cub Cadet could publish a clear, in color, operator manual. The instructions that come with it is very generic and small print that does not give a clear step by step operator procedure. The five minute instruction I got when it was delivered went in one ear and out the other assuming the written operation would be clear.

    • @jeffreydevoti8528
      @jeffreydevoti8528 4 года назад

They use too long belts, twisting too much. Shorter simpler pulley systems would last longer but to conform to safety regulations to stop blades quick adds insane compexity and reduces durability. Deck belts on my old 12 MTD 38" deck was 5/8 so they can do better.

Wrong, its completely serviceable. Contact the manufacturer on instructions regarding servicing the Tuff Torq transaxle...most of these have a K46, I believe the XT3 series has a K62, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the K46 is more of the entry level model found in most lawn tractors using a hydrostatic transaxle. The K62's I believe is what is used in the larger models with the diff-lock. At least the XT2's have the K62 transaxle...maybe different on the XT3's since they are shaft driven.
