    Akatsuki @ Nippon Budokan:-
This is one of 4 Su-Metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) solo songs. The other 3 are:-
    1. "Amore" (Wembley Arena).
    2. "No Rain No Rainbow" (Legend A Baptism XX).
    3. "Rondo Of Nightmare with Mischief Of Gods" (Budokan Black Night).
Su-Metal have a powerful voice to penetrate the heavy musical instrument and still sound so clear. You should listen to X Japan "Kurenai", a legendary band from Japan 🇯🇵 which Babymetal get a lot of their inspiration from. There is a slow version of Akatsuki, the Unfinished version perform at Legend 1997 Apocalypse concert same venue as Headbanger.
Akatsuki is just Crimsion Moon, but the original kanji for Akatsuki is the one you see in Naruto (暁). The original meaning is the time when night fall ends, or dawn. But there is a double meaning of "The time you waited after your dreams/wishes came true" . If you listen to the lyrics both crimson moon and akatsuki play a role in the song Akatsuki.
    Benitsuki -Akatsuki
    Information:-
    Kanji Title: 紅月-アカツキ.
    Romanji Title: Benitsuki -Akatsuki
English Title : Crimson Moon -Dawn.
    Akatsuki-Benitsuki:
Akatsuki- is the couping song from BABYMETAL's 3rd single Megitsune, by SU-METAL. The song is also included in BABYMETAL's first original album BABYMETAL.
    Information:
    Artist: BABYMETAL
    Single: Megitsune
    Album: BABYMETAL
    Lyrics: NAKAMETAL & TSUBOMETAL
    Composition: TSUBOMETAL
    Arrangement: Kyoto
    KamiBand:-
The KamiBand are the instrumentalists (or backing band) in BABYMETAL - Each member is a "god (Kami) of music" summoned by The Fox God stage by stage. They wore white robes and painted corpse face to resemble the dead spirit. All the Kamis have their own jobs and side-projects in addition to BABYMETAL.
Current Members Who Perform At Nippon Budokan:-
•Takayoshi Ohmura (Guitar, ESP SNAPPER-7/R Twinkle Pink).
•Leda Cygnus (Guitar, ESP ARROW 7 CUSTOM).
    •Daisuke 'BOH' Bohte (Bass, ATELIER Z BETA 6, Boh'S CUSTOM 6).
    •Aoyama Hideki (Drums, YAMAHA Signature).
Nippon Budokan (日本武道館, Nippon Budōkan), often shortened to simply Budokan, is an indoor arena located in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan. Originally built for the inaugural Olympic judo competition in the 1964 Summer Olympics, its name translates as Martial Arts Hall in English. While its primary purpose is to host martial arts contests, the arena has gained additional fame as one of the world's most iconic musical performance venues.
A number of famous rock music acts have played at Budokan. The Beatles were the first rock group to play there in a series of concerts held between June 30 and July 2, 1966. ABBA ended their last tour there. Their final show on March 27, 1980, was the last live concert ABBA performed together. Numerous acts have recorded live albums at Budokan, including Bryan Adams, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Cheap Trick, Dream Theater, Duran Duran, Kiss, Mr. Big, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Journey and Deep Purple.
    LYRICS OVERVIEW:-
    Crimson Moon
    Going over thousands nights,
    some love shall survive.
    So, until my body perishes,
    until my life disappears,
I shall keep on cherishing this love.
Shining in the depths of the eyes,
the moon is about to cry.
    Red tears overflow
    and dye the night sky.
    In the silence,
the two damaged blades stand face to face.
    Our loneliness and our uneasiness
    slash even our hearts.
    Going over thousands nights,
    some love shall survive.
    So, until my body perishes,
    until my life disappears,
I shall keep on cherishing this love.
    In the passage of time,
    I keep my eyes shut.
Even if the red thread flowing in my hand breaks,
I still feel we are tied.
    In the silence,
I hold the damaged blade face to face.
    My loneliness and my uneasiness,
    I slash, even my heart,
    now.
    Going over thousands nights,
    some love shall survive.
    So, until my body perishes,
    until my life disappears someday...
    Going over thousands nights,
    some love shall survive.
    So, until my body perishes,
    until my life disappears,
I shall keep on cherishing this love.
    Dye crimson! Dye bloody crimson!
    アカツキ (Akatsuki)

This performance blew my mind the first time I saw it and that has never happened before. The powerful vocals, the pyrotechnics and rotating stage, the non-stop drumming and the amazing guitar solos. They gave it their all, the passion they show is almost like an aura around the stage.

Nice reaction. A great performance by all. Even the Pyro team was on point. They've done several variations of this performance. When they had muscle metal with them. During the guitar solos they did a cool choreographed fight. And then they did one where a mystery person with a mask dressed like Su did a mirror fight with Su during the solos. Babymetal loves to surprise the audience. It's a mature subject Su is singing about. For a deep dive into Babymetal lyrics checkout Prof AJ Hartley youtube channel. All in English not only does he go over possible translations. Also possible interpretation of what it could mean. He's also made drinks themed after their songs. Very cool. Babymetal everything you want in music and somethings you didn't know you needed.

She fiddles with her IEM a lot in this performance, I wonder if it's the cape tugging on a wire or if she's just not quite satisfied with its volume.

She did that a lot in the early days on several performances. My guess is that they didn’t fit perfectly due to her adorable weirdly shaped ears. Since 2018ish I haven’t seen her doing it that much 😊

One of Babymetal's best, and one of the best live performances. The Kamis really shine here, hopefully in the new era of BM we will get to see this type of performance again!
By the way if you haven't already, I highly recommend reading the translation of this song's lyrics. It's really quite beautiful, and a lot more "mature" than the lyrics of most of their songs from this time period.
Glad you enjoyed it and looking forward to the second version!

They brought this one back during the Budokan shows last year, as well as Moa doing Onedari Daisakusen and I think she did GJ!, too, although I don't recall if they had her switch between them or did both during each set. We shall see if they bring both back during their tour with Sabaton, or if they headline their own tour here in the U.S. next fall.

    Great reaction as always, thanks!
Did I enjoy it as much as you did? This is my favorite song of all times and also my favorite live performance... so what do you think? 😁 There are probably better performances (technically) but this one is so special to me. This is what made me a die hard BABYMETAL fan. And yes, it's incredible that being just 16 here she was able to command as she did.
Musically it's totally in my alley: power metal with amazing guitar dueling and harmonizing solos, nice bass work and as you noticed Hideki Aoyama's excellent performance on drums, as usual. His control over the double kick bass is outstanding. The guy is a human metronome. And, of course, Su-metal's clean and powerful vocals is always a plus... not to mention her legendary death stare. 😊
See you later on the unfinished version!

This is my favorite BABYMETAL song. It's not surprising you like it, it is very Lovebites-y in structure. Yeah Su was sixteen here, although it's not close to be my favorite performance of this song. Wembley'16 or Big Fox Festival '17 are better I think. The performance in 2021 at Budokan of the song was also really good, but the strong edition in the blurays made the excellent performance lose emotion.

  • @bons244
    @bons244 Год назад +6

16 doing this indeed is crazy. The 2021 Budokan version of this song is insanely good vocally. Su has matured so well in her 20s. The only thing I didn't like with the 2021 performance is that they didn't put spotlight on the guitarists during the solo >:[
