Thank you for helping this middle child get through very difficult teenage years in the 70's. When I was 15 in 1976 I Absolutely went Nuts over "That'll be the Day" that song alone won you a Grammy. The year before 1975 "Prisoner in Disguise" came out Loved "The Sweetest Gift" song me and my 2 sisters learned it and sang it at our Family Christmas Parties, Thank you again and I Love you Linda Ronstadt. ❤❤

Also appreciate Wendy Waldman, and the groundbreaking Laura Nyro, all early superb writers, and performers in a very creative time for US music. Not just Linda! Going on 80yrs, I miss them all!

Jonathan Wallach I've seen several live appearances of Karen that were pitch perfect. I have heard that without a microphone you could barely hear her because she doesn't sing loud.
The vocalise (oohs) at the end is a tour de force all its own. So much flexibility and control of sustained tone, breath, vibrato and pitch. Maybe you need to be a singer to really appreciate it. I know I couldn't touch it.
