- Weezer performing "My Name Is Jonas" Live at "Vans Warped Tour 2000".... Dug this up from the vaults while in quarantine. Filmed on the Panasonic Palmcorder at Manzanita Speedway in Phoenix, Arizona on June 25th 2000. Long before cell phone cameras folks, so forgive the quality. But hey, I'm pretty sure this is the only full recording of this song in it's entirety from The Warped Tour in 2000.... Enjoy!!!🤘🤩🤘Frito
Rivers said in a 2001 interview that he was sure everyone in the crowd at this show would hate them when they went out on stage - crazy how long it took for him to gain confidence in himself and his work. awesome footage, thank you for the upload!

No problem what so ever my friend. If you only knew the time and money I spent on transferring this 20 year old VHS-C tape to digital so I could post this. Found the tape and the original palmcorder but could not hook the palmcorder to a computer or tv to transfer. Had to find a VHS-C VHS converter tape contraption online only to realize I had no VHS player so I found one on Craiglist, purchased that and found a VHS converter to digital. Ordered that and wallah!!!
It's not the best quality in the world and I wasn't the best camera man back then but as you said the historical content is priceless as I looked everywhere for this before posting and found very little (Filmed Green Day as well). And the best news, captured the whole set. So now that it's digitized I'll be downloading the rest of the set in the order they played them that hot summer day some twenty years ago...

Absolutely!!! Tape had been sitting in a box in my attic for 20 years. I had forgot I even filmed the show. It definitely brought back memories of hanging with my friends and enjoying the great lineup of bands for that particular year. I hit your bro Jeremy back and just posted "Say It's Ain't So" check it out!!! As I mentioned to him there was a lot of crowd surfing in that one maybe one of you guys??? ME too!!! This footage is horrible but I've gotten good feedback from Weezer fans as there's not much footage of them from this tour or year. On that day the main objective for me wasn't performance capture as I was there with about 20 of my friends and coworkers. It was capturing the day and festivities. Warped Tour was still new and we were just having fun or I would have gotten closer to the stage for Weezer and Green Day... The Green Day footage has awesome sound but footage would put somebody into an epileptic seizure (LOL)... Thanks for exploring my channel!!!
