Aww! Thank you so much 😀
Awesome like always 👍👍
Thanks mate! :-)
@@candicemoll8386 please can u guide us what type of slangs, words or poppular phrases used by teenagers in Australia 😋😋
You explain the phonemes very well and remarkably.
In case you might be curious about it, here's a link to a Wikipedia article that can help clarify the distinction in usage of the terms "prawn", and "shrimp": en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prawn.
Awesome! I realized that the word 'score' sounds weird when using the aw sound at the end.
Please let me know if the aw combo applies to the pronunciation of the word 'score'.
P.S. You really have helped me out big time. Thanks so much!
Bell Catch hi! You are correct, the word ‘score’ uses the ‘aw’ sound. You don’t pronounce the R at all, so the word sounds like ‘skaw’.
Lovely style
Love ur teaching sO much💕
Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it :-)
I love it
Hi Candice can you go through most of the letter combos that use the Australian "ou" sound please. Youve covered the other o's in depth but not this one. Thanks
Very good
Soljuh- soldier! Great video Candice as always !
Thanks mate! :-)
A lot of Aussies pronounce ow like "i-a-uh-o" sound. For example, out -> iaot, empower -> empiaowa
I've taken a IELTS test at UWA, Perth, today, just used a Aussi acccent talking to the examiner lady. Haha! Thank you for your tips!
Aaaaahhh that's Amazing!! Congratulations! I'm so glad these videos helped you with your exam! :-)
I don't know much about the IELTS but I've had a few people ask for a video specific to the study needed for this test. Now that you have taken the test, do you think there is a section that would be helpful if I made a video?
@@candicemoll8386 I think most of the non-native speakers are struggling with the speaking test. When I was talking to my Aussie friends, I am confused whether my grammer, intonation or use of words are authentic or not as they are always nice and they don't correct me.
@@candicemoll8386 Thank you, 小姐姐(Xiao Jiejie)haha!
😊 fun fun thx
Wow I loved the tips!! You got a new sub :)
I'll do an exchange to Australia soon so I'm very very very grateful for your videos!!
I'm so glad they're helping you. Thanks for subscribing! :-)
I am from Nepal currently studying in Tasmania. Is there a possibility of a video in Tasmanian accent.keen to learn.you are so beautiful.😍😘
Unfortunately I've never spent any time in Tasmania, so I wouldn't be a great source of info on the local dialects.
Great job interesting video you are gifted
But why you don't use the IPA and comparing the standared british and australian
I'm so confused between these two accents sometimes i think the only difference is (t )
Thanks! And good suggestion, I'll look into this :-)
Nice
Excellent video!
Thank you! Cheers!
I'm from straya but I don't move my lips/mouth really at all while talking
I literally love you I watch you on the fairy’s and you don’t look at all like you did how long ago did you guys film the fairy’s
Thanks for the great video. Can you do me a favour and add more videos regarding connecting speech.
Oh great question! Sure, I'll look into this :-)
I’m aussie but I go to a school and it has a lot of English people and so now I have a slight English accent and I want my Aussie accent back how do I get it back?
Ah I know this dilema well! It's very simple. Listen to Aussie radio/podcasts, watch Aussie TV, and really try to pay attention to the differences between the accents. If you can hear it in someone else, you can notice when you're making changes. Good luck!
wow, i often teach my Korean students how to say walk to work. its hard!
Oh it's a really hard sentence to say!
Interesting personality
Here from extra brave
I have been to Australia normally Aussie speaks much faster than her. I am feeling comfortable with your pace.
Yep, I always slow down a bit in teaching mode :-)
❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰
Is it just me or there's other people around who hear a soft didgeridoo-like vibrating sound any time we hear Australians talk?
Good onya!
I say "@#$!" when I hurt myself ... and a family member invariably pipes up to say, "Do it again, I didn't see it!" Smart arses. Lol
Haha!
I think er ɚ canadian is pronunced as ø~œ.
❤❤❤❤❤❤⚘🌸👌💐
For me, the way you Australians don't pronounce the R sound it sounds too beautiful to me because I hate pronounce these R's everytime I don't know how Americans do this all the time, my tongue tenses very much when I speak these R's all the time
I love the sound of R, especially when they're rolled in Spanish or Italian. Btw New Yorkers, Bostonians, and much of the East Coast (and part of the Midwest) drop the R. America is a big country with tons of dialects. Try not to stereotype.
@@YourMajesty143 yeah! I've learned that
@@douglasmarinho3653 - Same lol. Thanks, Doug.
I thought the language was "Strain"?? lol
