I always start conversation with strangers all the time when I'm traveling... It's always start by asking them about the place where I am going. As I've never been there before so I have to ask someone in train like for example
I'm working as uber driver over than two years and a half in Sydney and my job is helping me a lot to improve my English language because I speak to my passengers and they ask me similar questions as you asked in your video.😀😀😀
Hi Emma! You have always good ideas like this one. Starting a converstaion is not always easy above all here in Switzerland, were people are more closed up than Australians, preferring their comfort zone than risking to face strangers. It's also different related with the German speaking part, the French, or the Italian one, which is by far the minority. We also start by greetings and after frequently chatting about the weather which is not very original. After we often speak about news or games like soccer or hockey. Frequently we also groan about the always sticking traffic. Peoples problems are all about the same in the entire world. Thank you Emma!
Hey Emma, cutest ma'am! I was just waiting for your lesson today! As you know, I'm gaining more and more confidence, fluency watching your videos for almost every day. For this reason, I'm not feeling bad at speaking English whether it's a usual small talking or some kind of conversation between the colleagues, coworkers. That doesn't feel like a tough task for me anymore! I do appreciate all of my communicative skills! Thanks a lot to you! A lot of kisses!
😘You are the best teacher, students could ever hope for! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication! For the rest of my life, I'll be extremely thankful for having a brilliant teacher like you. The lessons you have taught will be remembered forever while your inspiration will always give me the strength to succeed. 💝💝💖❤️❤️
Thank you for this fantastic journey through the Australian culture and new phrases, Emma, this is very helpful! And here the cities and desirable destinations from my bucket list: Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Gold Coast, Darwin, Kakadu National Park, Uluru, Coral Bay, Francois Peron National Park, Tasmania, Tjoritja, Kings Canyon Walk.
Thank you Emma, very practical lesson :) and I would like to encourage you to make more videos like this that are about everyday life in Australia. These videos are quite rare! But I have to say my least favorite part is when it is presumed many Uber drivers are international students. As true as it may be, you meet people from different backgrounds all the time in Australia in the uni, library, at work, etc. where you can use the same phrases to start a conversation.
I would like to visit Australia one day as it's my dream!. I had the opportunity to travel to the UK several times and where I could manage in starting some conversations with the locals. It was really very useful. Thanks a lot for this beautiful lesson
@@mmmEnglish_Emma the best way to satart a conversation in the UK was at the airport where I met some English people who helped us to manage with a taxi driver and then at the supermarket
Hi Emma. I missed watching your videos so much. Really! I am happy to see you again in this interesting video as usual. Million thanks Emma. I wish I could visit Australia one day.
Hello Emma. I'm from Vietnamese. I follow your channel every day. There's many knowledge usefull for me to improve my English skill. Thank you so much.
Thank you my lovely teacher Emma for bringing up this lesson for us.... I would like to visit your country one day..and I would like to visit sydney first.
Thank you so much for this interesting video as usual! When I went to Australia, even people speak fast and with a lot of connecting speech (you love to short the words!), it was easy to speak a bit with them. They are very friendly. I hope we will soon be able to travel and visit a part of our family who lives there. We visited Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne (we visited little penguins on Philip Island and the twelve apostles on the ocean road. It was amazing!). We plan to visit other beautiful places. The island is so huge! Have a nice week.
I just love the Australian accent. It’s so cool. But yes I’m not here for the accent. It sounds cool only when an Australian is talking to you. It’s scary when a non-Australian tries to mimic.
Thank you so much Emma , you are very clever at teaching english ,I like you more, please teach us more english grammar , I wanna learn more english grammar
I am coming to Australia next month from Bangladesh. I will be in Armidale and Canberra for about a month to Participate in Training program at UNE. Hope I will travel to other places from time to time. Your tips will be very helpful. Thank you very much
As always your lessons are enjoyable, with your nice smile movements mimics and of course perfect explanations with examples... I really enjoy watching your videos and of course I have improved my English speech a lot through it...thanks you Emma for your effort and time...
Hey mam i am from india i think your explanation is superb and I can't explain about your voice i never ever listened such a beautiful voice And abou your behaviour i wanna say that many youtubers have million of subscribers but they do not like comments and reply the but you have 4 million and you are such a cool guy u do not have attitude actually i m indian so i am thinking my english is wrong
Hi Emma, how's going? Thanks for sharing these great tips with us. Your lessons are always very didactic. Another great place to start a conversation is in the stadium. It's not so difficult to emphathize with a fan wearing the same team jersey. It feels more comfortable and speaking mistakes don"t really matter when you are supporting the same team, you can instantly feel the friendship. Thanks Emma. Australia has beautiful cities but I would like to visit Melbourne some day in the future.😊
@@mmmEnglish_Emma It Changes Place to Place. In some places, we start with Greetings. In some places, only with Hand shake. In some places, Without a greeting, people focus to the point. So it changes... 😁😁😁 I too am cofused in the multicultural traditional states... Anyway I'm blessed with that.😄😄
it's a very interesting video ..and thanks Emma for this great tips ..I think the hardest part in any conversation is lies in the beginning of the conversation where your goal is to give a good first impression.. In fact I like it when you talk about getting out from comfort zone ..it's really easier said than done because you know you should go out and begin a new journey or a new project or changing your boring job and begin a new one or immigrate to a better country , you know all of this but you fear of the consequences of the failure of the new project - or any new thing - . But of course, the fear of change does not mean that a person should not try something new, On the contrary, a person should always try to do new things or as you said "to have a crack " - I hope I used the expression in the correct context- For me, one of the countries I would like to visit or live in is Australia..but with the existence of this pandemic and the travel conditions related to it which require taking the vaccine..I will have to cancel the idea of traveling because I do not want to be vaccinated .. keep up the good work Emma , and have a good day

Surely, I have. There were many situations I was starting a conversation with other English speakers.
In fact, when I see a native speaker, I won’t let them go 😄😂 I keep talking to them and always have been good conversations ever 😎😋
