Jon.. all I gotta say is God leading me to your videos is a blessing. I often wish people would approach Jesus and the word with Joy and a light heartededness that the son (in my humble opinion) of that he seemed fond of. I come across too many that make it feel as if it's a burden of sorrow and not something to just be happy and all smiles and giggles about!! Not drawing away from the seriousness but observing it as a treasure to celebrate and share ! I'd be stoked if you did one on Nehemiah! (if you already have , I apologize. Its not that I don't want to take the time to search .. its just you're a relatively new add to my 'following' list.. and well. . It's easier to suggest then to go looking, get distracted as I often am, and forget to comment all together on such a technicality..) lol God Bless you brother
Ruth is one of my favorite books and it was so awesome hearing your take on it! it came at a really important season of my life, so these videos have helped a lot the past couple weeks! I can't wait for the next book! :)
Love your videos Brotha! it's so good to see a Christian channel that shows how fun and awesome following Christ can be. Nothing but love and encouragement to you and sweetbear!
ADITW Really helped me get back into reading the word, great work Jon! Keep it up!:) I'd love to see James! Studying christian behaviour could be a great followup to Hebrews and Ruth:)
john!! I use your spoken words a lot in my sermons. My hubby and I are big fans! I need something good and powerful and applicable for Christmas Eve Service! get to work! lol!!
Hello! You sound great with the microphone, don't worry :p I am so grateful so for you and Sweet bear's encouraging words. If you could go over Romans that would be awesome, I have been reading it myself but it would be exciting to hear your take on it :)
What are some ways we can handle people attacking our faith, especially when it is our family who attacks us?? I love all your videos, you are so encouraging to me. I'm new to faith so your videos are so helpful.
Hey, Jon! I'm from Brazil and I found your channel when I was looking for some Christian Vlogger. I am also a Christian and I was intending to hear about Jesus in English just to get my English listening better, but I've been very blessed by GOD through your videos! congratulations for being used by the Lord! I'm interested in reading your books. Could contact me? GOD bless you, brother!
A question I have: -When reading the Bible, what are some key things to look out for in verses which will give some context and understanding into the message God is communicating through them? (this is something I have been loving in watching these Bible study videos. There are so many little details that you pick up on that I would never have noticed before. It genuinely makes it fun to read the Bible! I'd just love to know how to go about studying Bible verses in depth as you do, in my own time) The book I'd love to study in the next series: -Jeremiah
Hi Jon! I'm Damaris from Italy and I wanted to ask you how do you get through the Old Testament law books? I have an year-long plan for reading the Scriptures but when I get to books where everything is about old laws given by God for the Israelites I just get bored and I wish I could find a way to understand it better and find it interesting. God bless you
I do not understand Matthew 5:17 when Jesus says “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them." Many people say that because of Jesus, we do not need to obey the crazy rules in the old testament like wearing clothing with different threads and cutting your beard in a certain way. So what does Jesus mean when he came to "Fulfill" them? And how do we know we don't need to follow these rules?
I struggle with that verse too. I might be wrong but I think that when Jesus said that he came to fulfill the law he meant that he is what we people were supposed to be. He is like the realization of what a person would be if he could obey all the laws. I hope this might be helpful. stay blessed
It means that Jesus didn't come to do away with the law, like Paul said the law is still our schoolteacher until we meet Jesus showing us what is right and wrong, and it still applies fully to those who are not in Christ. However Jesus came to completely fulfill the righteous requirements of the law so we would not have to, because none of us are able to keep the law in it's entirety. Jesus satisfied the need for sacrifices by His own sacrifice and paid the penalty for our sin in full. He also did away with the levitical law and dead rituals and adopted us into his own family, but the rest of law still stands and is still a guide on how to live, but not a requirement for salvation. And the whole law was summarized and superseded by the Royal law of loving God and your neighbors.
i would love to study Proverbs, there's a lot of good stuff in there that I just don't really understand, I've tried but Solomon didn't exactly make it easy. If you don't for whatever reason if you know of a good study guide for Proverbs I would really appreciate it if you sent it to me, thanks
How about acts. It is the first book written after Jesus went to be with God. In acts the apostles still do amazing acts of wonder and it also shows that God gives everyone a chance. The apostles went to a couple of different towns with different believes. Some were convinced and some denied Jesus. I think it would be a good bible study.
how do you approach the books of the prophets? I'm currently reading Isaiah (Plese let's study Isaiah in ADITW) and it gets confusing every now and then
How do u know what God is trying to tell u threw the scripture? Sometimes I have trouble discerning if it is God talking to me or if it just me making stuff up in my head.
Do you have any tips on how to bring someone who used to be a Christian, but is no longer one, back to Christ? Sorry, I know it's a loaded question. Basically, this person had something terrible happen to someone they love and they don't believe God exists anymore because of it. How can I help them to understand God IS real and He IS loving and hates it when we hurt?
I love it when people ask this question because I used to ask myself this all the time when the whole time the answer was simply LOOK TO JESUS, HE IS THE AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF YOUR FAITH. It's easy to get DISTRACTED by noticing that the world hates the message of Christ but truth be told that should not be where your focus lies, you ask how because you don't have the answer to why. We are meant to preach Christ because God has called us to NO OTHER REASON. It doesn't matter if 20 or 0 listen in a day, it is a COMMAND by God that assures you of your obedience and submissiveness to the Father and a confirmation of your Faith in the Son. It is not easy to preach Christ, I know, I'm in that position right now but the moment you take your mind off how and unto why that's the moment your faith causes you to do things for Christ you never thought possible. Have a blessed day 😊🙏🏿.
if you like drawing, lettering, or anything artsy, try bible journaling. it's gonna help you get motivated to begin a book in the bible, and then create art inspired from what you read.
Have someone to keep you accountable or share what you read with. For some reason when i know I'm going to share with someone , motivation is no longer a problem:)
😍 Ruth. How about Proverbs next? So many people within the body of Christ can't tell Him apart from Satan anymore. They keep mixing worldly stuff with God's things. The mark of the beast is coming. Need to know to avoid it at all costs. Thanks Jon.
REALLY appreciate your positive vibes! Thank you for making these! My favorite Bible study online!

Nehemiah is an awesome book to study, and is quite accurate in correlation to what's happening in the world presently.

This was an awesome study, maybe we can do JAMES next!
Any of Paul's letters would be a fun topic to dive into
Also Ecclesiastes is really interesting too.
Talk about Elijah! I think that would be very insightful!
let's do Ephesians or 1&2 Timothy. and my bible q&a question would be: when is highlighting too much highlighting?
I really think that we should study Nehemiah

My pleasure. I am glad I could help with my short explanation. For more detail read the books of Hebrews, Galations, and Romans.

I counted it out of curiosity and I found that Ruth was Jesus great 46 times grandma XD
I'm stuggling to understand how that is a gift to Ruth :/ like he said in the previous video... She would be gone by then
i would love to study Proverbs, there's a lot of good stuff in there that I just don't really understand, I've tried but Solomon didn't exactly make it easy. If you don't for whatever reason if you know of a good study guide for Proverbs I would really appreciate it if you sent it to me, thanks

What exactly is living above reproach? And what exactly does it mean to live in reproach? If anyone would care to enlighten me :)
How I can talk about jesus to other people? (People of the world who practicly hates everything relasionated with jesus) 😕

I would simply talk about the person’s impressions about Jesus and explain how much God loved us.
1 & 2 Samuel please.
Bible question: Genesis 1 & 2. Literal or allegory?
how do I stay motivated in reading the Bible I struggle alot with this!?
