Hello Mike I have a hantarex polo. Can you please give me some ideas what could be the cause of a black vertical line on the the side of the screen. It goes away when I lower the contrast but then again my screen will look to dark. I was told it could be the fly back going bad but I want to hear it from you Mike since your a little more familiar with the hantarex polo chassis.
Have a P738-F board with no 25k connector on the chassis, no vertical sweep mod and also has the pin cushion connector....is this a 25 or 27"? has vertcal collapse and came in on a 25" tube.....
Hi, I bought an arcade cabinet lately and it came with a 25'' inch crt with a Hantarex polo/2 25-28 chassis. My issue is tha the image is kinda squassed in the far right side and a bit in the far left side , I tried to play abit with the horizontal position and size pots it didn't help. Am I missing something? Any suggestions? thanks in advance for your help
@@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair it doesn't have any black lines, for example when a character in a game goes to the far right of the screen is getting squashed horizontally.

I wonder what that chip would look like on the Scope if that would give you an indication that it has an issue.
Yeah. Thought about that. I’ve got an older o-scope but haven’t had a change to really learn the ins and outs of it quite yet.

Bad flyback most likely. Could be bad caps.

You sure it’s a U5000?
@@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair Tube says 25k 5191 and only operates at 15k....
What does the sticker on the chassis say? The one in the back left corner by R104?
@@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair only sticker present is the P738-F and the wells brand ....nothing else like we normally see

That’s ok. I know what it looks like. Black lines are usually bad caps. Completely Black areas are usually a flyback issue.
