Finally, I see a video that also uses inputs on the Meta Module. I'm considering having the Meta Module serve as multiple envelopes and a quantizer for me. Among other things. :)
What a fantastic voice patch. It has a lot of energy while still being very understabdable to the listener. Thank you for sharing! Its a very cool module to bridge VCV and physical modular. Quite delightful!
Thanks so much for this video series of the MetaModule. Quick suggestion - I think the MM firmware and VCVRack plugins will go through a fairly rapid set of bug fixes, feature changes as 4ms are being pretty responsive to feedback already. I think it would be useful for people viewing this video in the future if you could list the MM firmware version and 4ms VCVRack plugin version you used in the video description .. some things might change.
Nice video and congrats on owning one already! I was wondering about how the knobs handle the position when you switch between knob sets. If the knob would have been infinite encoder, they would pick up the position wherever they are but it seems that those make a jump when you switch and then move?
Is possible to set a complete patch with drum module, sequencer, and synths, and control it from external instrument like oxi one, or keystep pro? It will be fantastic, in a single module..
Are you doing any gain staging before going into Meta on patches where you use Meta as a processing unit? If i send an analog VCO from my rack i instantly get distortion (very harsh)
It would be so cool if the meta videos were done a la The Wizard of Oz. Black and white on the computer, then bang, glorious colour when the patch moves into the real world.
@@OmriCohen-Music I thought 1. vcv and meta have direct conntection via usb 2. vcv can send audio und cv direct in realtime to meta and back .... but no !!! thats the future in my head 😂
How vividly the difference is heard in the sound, when an analog module (sto !!!) is added to the mix !!!! Wich what's the question: In what mode does the 4MS META audio engine work? In VCV, I expose an audio-engine of 96 kHz so that it sounds acceptable.
Lookin for a new computer for vcv rack, always been a Mac guy, anyone know if the m1 architecture is good for vcv? I’ve seen mixed reviews in forums, anyone recommend what direction to go for a good vcv laptop?
You are the best salesman for this module 😅
That was very insightful, thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow! Just wow! The sum is greater than the parts.

More meta module videos !!

Thanks so much! That's a great suggestion. I will add this now to the description. Thanks!
Thank you for this! I hope you do more!
More to come!
Wow ! Awesome ! Thanx for the video !
Cheers! Yes, there are only a few collections that are available for now, but I hope there will be more in the future.

i read in the forum they are adding a knob pickup mode which will be like ableton pickup mode
Yeah, they're working on pickup mode :)
Interesting video! What about latency, comparing with a ES-9/VCV solution for example? Also, it is possible to turn the screen of the module off?

I would definitely add an attenuator at the start of the chain. I do this with hardware modules as well. They all have different ranges...

💥 Important !!! VCV and Meta have no connection. The audio from VCV come not direct to Meta right? Because Meta is not an audio interface. Right?
I'm not sure I understand. You mean the audio from the Meta module?

I think it all sounds quite nice, especially after running it through an analog filter. I run the Meta at 48kHz.

The Mac’s are great
The Apple Silicon Macs are fantastic for VCV Rack, and they're great computers all around. Go for it!
