Remind me, please. It's been years since I played them, but I remember most of them being under 30 minutes long. The hardest puzzle might have been the barnstorming game in Goes to the Moon? But I beat it when I was like 6, so it can't be that bad.
I have vivid memories of 7 y/o me BEGGING to play this game every night, popping the game disk in my laptop and rage quitting after like 3 hours. then eat, sleep, repeat.
The math problem 23-21 comes up right when the video hits 46, half of 46 is 23. Jerma was born in 1985 1+9+8+5=23. Jerma was 23 when he saw the trailer. Jerma was born on September 22 only one number away from 23. It all connects. The movie is becoming real.
1:16:25 The Jerma Multiverse crossover already exists. It called a typical Jerma stream. Every second dozens of Jermas are fighting for control of his body.
Same, it's so weird hearing all those sounds I haven't heard in...what like 20 years? And hearing some of those sounds feels like it was just the other day.
1:18:15 - imagine the plot of Everything Everywhere All At Once but it’s Jerma just getting angrier at the other multiverse versions of himself. There’s probably a universe where chat is actually nice to Jerma

I love that even in his speed reading of the number 23 in the bible there's nothing he says that is even remotely scary it was literally just mentioned in the bible
I had the stream on in the background until the sound effect played, and triggered a condensed blast of nostalgia. I had been waiting for him to get to the movie theater but I didn't expect that memory to suddenly be so vivid, hahaha
I know I played a Freddi Fish game when I was really young, but I don't remember which. I've recently seen other people play some of these games but none looked any familiar, until seeing the second one here. Holy crap was all of it a blast of nostalgia. I also remember the "ghost" terrifying me, like every single scene with it.
I like to think the real reason Jerma wanted to play these was because he was "too old" when they came out, and now he has an excuse to see if they still hold up or not. Personally I think they still do, maybe not what I would want to play as an adult, but the puzzles were fun enough, the dialgoue was amusing, and the voice acting was fun, and all of the hidden clickables and minigames are a fun distraction that just isn't acceptable in modern game design; you can't "hide" bonus features, not even in plain sight.
I laughed at the idea that 23 was everywhere when Jerma brought it up. I did the thing with my birth month and day and they didn't add up to the "evil number." Then I remembered my age. ...23.

Jerma's discussion about how 23 makes him paranoid is a very good description of paranoid OCD. Kind of heartbreaking to hear chat be like "five IQ." "You're stupid" or making him more paranoid. We need more OCD awareness. Not to armchair diagnose, or say he has it, but when someone shows symptoms of a disorder, it would be nice to have some compassion instead of derision.
I'M still impressed by all the clickables they jam-packed into these games. The sheer effort and cross-references are far above the detail most other kid games would go for. Definitely helped me develop my creative sense of seeing things in other things.
1:16:23 It's funny he's talking about an alternate universe Tall Chad Jerma when we already live in a universe where that's an actual person. His name is Martyn Ford and he literally is Chad Jerma.
