Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge how to run a project! I´m new in this area and I have learned a lot from you. I have gotten a new job as a production planner and will mostly use MS to create a calendar for the staff. This company (Calormet AB) have over 400 projects in a year, and in the high season we have about 40 engineers in the staff, working both in the factory hale and producing products, and working on projects together with our customer. My role will be to make a calendar / schedule and link to a big screen in the factory hale, so each engineer can see; who is going to work at what project in the near future / what each person’s task will be / short information about the project and what they will be needed to bring to the project. I also need to make a schedule for the factory hale (our production). All this information must be easy to read for the staff and easy for me to handle so I have more free time for other tasks. My idea is to have a Master project and link each project and in a smart way show a schedule. However it doesn´t seem to be possible, because the Microsoft Project file will be uploaded at Microsoft Sharepoint and I will only work with the file from there, so other people can work with the file as well.. I have viewed almost all your videos, but I don´t find answers to my questions. Could you give me some advise on how I could go forward with this idea? I´m so happy I found your videos on RUclips. You have helped me a lot already :)
Microsoft project is a totally unnecessary application. I tried it and I consider excel to be better. On top of that there are other tools that can do things Microsoft can’t even dream about
