    Absolutely beautiful. I would emphasize how important it is to get him resisting in one direction and then you switch at the right time and now he is resisting the “wrong” direction.

    Very helpful that you highlight the placement of your hands in certain positions. It helps me quite a bit so I appreciate it.

    Wrestling for BJJ is great... wrestling for older grapplers (who also do BJJ) will be awesome(r)! Love this stuff, although I hate to wrestle in general... but that's simply because I'm approaching 40s, and I don't want to get injured, nor do I have the strength and power to wrestle with the younger, stronger, and faster 20-year somethings.

      So check this out; nearly every shot or takedown I'll be showing for the foreseeable future - you don't actually go down to a knee on your penetration step (saving the joint) and you also don't compromise your shoulders like you do with traditional wrestling (getting sprawled out underneath). I designed the technique like this for many reasons, one of the unintended by products is that they're actually geared quite well for students with any kind of potential joint issue(s). Hope this encourages you to adsorb these techniques and start whooping on those young guys!

    Coach, he is not putting that whizzer in. with the whizzer in he is constantly pushing you away from his further leg.
    secondly, from big thigh, strong or tall opponents, their thighs are going to be big for my small hands its not going to wrap around enough. and lastly the first motion that you use to turn them circling towards you, that might not even happen when i try to move they just stay + with thei hand framing and stuffing my head, you can bet i couldnt circle them.

    The part where you step in and grab their leg never happens because everyone I wrestle just steps back?

    • @WrestlingUniversity
      @WrestlingUniversity  Год назад +4

      We need to work on your fakes and hand fighting. A good "head tap" or "reach" as if you're going to tie up will draw attention from the legs momentarily allowing you to get to secure it. I touch on this in a lot of videos, but have an entire video dropping soon dedicated to the reach concept. Stay tuned.

    This is awesome, but why not just tackle both his legs together and drive forward as he is hopping around on one foot? Isn’t that the simples way? Collect both legs and feet on the way down.

    • @WrestlingUniversity
      @WrestlingUniversity  Год назад

      Definitely a good option. When learning single legs it's imperative that you're able to move once you've obtained the leg, the "run the pipe" option is best suited for developing this characteristic which is why I prioritize teaching it over others at first. Also consider this; whenever you trade one leg for two you must first unlock your hands to gather the second leg-if your opponent is competent they can use this moment to escape. It's not guaranteed, but definitely a possibility which keeping the hands locked around one leg doesn't afford.
