Swedish cast recording from 2005
A Swedish-language version of the Mamma Mia musical premiered on February 12, 2005 at Cirkus in Stockholm where it was played until January 2007. The lyrics were translated by Niklas Strömstedt and Björn Ulvaeus . The script is translated by Peter Dalle . In the Swedish production, among others, Gunilla Backman , Nina Lundseie , Bengt Bauler , Reuben Sallmander , Charlotte Strandberg and Sussie Eriksson appeared .
The last Stockholm performance of Mamma Mia! was played on January 7, 2007 at 4 pm with all the original cast. Björn Ulvaeus , Benny Andersson , Tommy Körberg and Agnetha Fältskog , among others, attended the after-party .
The musical was staged at Scandinavium in Gothenburg , starting on 9 May 2007 and 49 performances were performed. All participants who had been in Stockholm came along to Gothenburg. The last Mamma Mia! - the show in Gothenburg started at 4 pm on 17 June 2007 with all the original actors and everyone in the orchestra, except the bassist Rutger Gunnarsson .
In total, the Swedish version of Mamma Mia! of 1,002,598 visitors and 555 performances were performed.
