Where do you live? Most of the lower lakes here in Utah have melted off. I can't wait for the high country lakes to ice off though. A lot of the streams are starting to run high with runoff, so I'll be hitting up lakes for the time being.

I usually fish with a 4wt or 5wt. My 5wt is 8’6” and my 4wt is 9’. If I’m fishing a high mountain lake with smaller fish, I’ll break out my 3wt. The longer the rod the better on the float tube in my opinion. The higher you can get your line off the water, the further you can cast, which is especially helpful when your fishing dries.
