I think, keep your falsely (some %) perceived (perceived by others) weakness as they are so whoever tries to exploit it just ends up wasting their time.

      @skyjumpandbraveatheart 5 лет назад +1

Yash Malviya It is, possibly, a weakness/es or, at least, how people perceive you, or think of you. What I am trying to say that once they give us tools pointing at our weaknesses and how to break us down then we become stronger. Same time what they think is a weakness, in fact just our choice to avoid negative atmosphere, people, work environment, abuse, manipulation etc
I personally like mental and physical health. I always strive to develop new healthy habits and skills, and surround myself with healthy people. But if someone points at my true weaknesses then I will work hard to make it my strength, so I can be well developed as a person. Poor muscle-hard work-strong muscle. Poor mentality-hard work-unbreakable mentality. Even if they think that they broke me down, it does not mean that I broke down. I will use it as a step up. Also, I like typology, but I would not allow it to squeeze me into someone’s patterns or program my brain. We are programmers of our life and choices. Sorry, if I over complicate my answer 🤓

Had I failed, I would not have left due to pride I would have potentially stayed just out of vengeance.
Failing THAT, then I might leave looking for a less high maintenance and more independent option.
Its really not so much about social status for me, except as a tool for something else.
The way to put it would be that I am sensitive to social status as a marker for whether or not I am truthfully meeting my own goals. If I am not feeling like I am meeting my own ideals, which "ought to be so compelling and stunning that others would recognize it", then THAT frustrates me immensely.

Weeeeeelll, you may THINK you are using a long con on an INTJ but I promise you that we are holding back what we know, at least that's how I have always been. I see through ENTP manipulations "of the heart" on a daily basis. You guys are so funny. You are so obviously manipulative which I find it amusing and quite entertaining. It's so cute. Because I am Ni dom, I will just sit back and observe you trying to "con" me or others and I will be amused and curious about the techniques you attempt and will take mental notes, even at times trying to keep a smile from showing. I will never let on that I see you though. I don't feel paranoid by you doing it because know you can't get to me. I'm too aware that you are up to something and I'll put safeguards in place to protect myself if your intent is malicious. You said Ne can absorb Ni but you can only absorb the Ni that we share with you. There is a lot more going on under the surface than you realize. You have no idea.
Okay, I just watched the rest of the video with the example of the INTJ giving up the algorythm. I guess some INTJs are susceptible. But to me it's so obvious when the ENTPs I know are brown-nosing. I have a coworker on my team at work and he and I have worked closely together for 5 years and I would not trust him as far as I could throw him. Many of my other colleagues have my trust but not him. I've seen how he works. We actually get along very well and work together very well but I see his compliments and brown-nosing for what it is and I don't take it to heart when he praises me. I smile big and thank him for it so he probably thinks he's softened me up but he hasn't. I am always suspicious of him because I know his motives are very selfish and he has no qualms about breaking with moral behavior. There is no way I would give him (or anyone else for that matter except my wife or parents) anything of great value to me such as a proprietary piece of intellectual property. I CAN see younger INTJs being susceptible to this ego-stroking though. It's true that we do love to be told how smart we are. I probably might have been susceptible to it when I was younger. But being older, I have much broader perspective and keen awareness and my intuition is rock solid. And I no longer need approval from others now that I've attained an internal sense of self-worth. I don't care what others think of me anymore. I am on a personal mission at this point in my life and I compete with myself.

That definitely helped me feel more comfortable in the relationship because it meant I didn't have to try to seek constant comfort and reassurance, instead I started to take responsibility for my own past gullibility knowing that I had been abused. Most importantly I learned that it's on me to keep better track of what I want out of people and to make sure that my expectations are in line with what my own eyes are telling me about X person. Skeldrif when someone doesn’t trust, I want to find out why, because there is usually a very good reason for this. I never tell anyone to trust me. I wouldn’t want anyone telling me to trust them. They can’t know the depth of my reasons anymore than I can know the depth of theirs, but I can try, and I do think trust is highly overrated. There are degrees of trust, and they are different for different people. If you don’t trust, then maybe you shouldn’t trust. Maybe the internal guidance system we are born with has some merit. If we listen, it might lead is exactly where we belong. Don’t try so hard, anyone, to “trust”. Let trust come to you in the amount and in the time it is meant to, to the degree that your internal guidance system dictates. Don’t listen to self help gurus, or any therapist who tells you that you have trust “issues”. It makes you appear to be off track in some way, when you probably aren’t. Now, if you are schizophrenic, this is a physiological medical issue. As is bipolar. And depression depending on the severity. But in general, if a person has been raped, witnessed a murder, been to war, or survived incest, they shouldn’t trust what they know to be true about the depth of misery that humans can inflict on one another. But they also must actively seek the opposite experience, as a means of healing. The trust necessary for each individual to live a fulfilling life will come. In whatever amount is necessary for that specific person.

LOL, you crack me up. What was with the detour into firefighters. LOL, true to the ENTP. Gotta love you guys. But anyway, I know you are conflicted about receiving criticism because first you asked for it and then you got upset and said you hate it. But okay, you asked for it. You said you need criticism. You say that sometimes you have to shame people to help them grow but I wholeheartedly disagree. The way you speak to someone, tone of voice, choice of words, matters. It communicates whether or not you really see the whole person and whether you respect them or not. There is great value and maturity in saying things in a way that is beneficial and caring rather than hurtful. You build trust with people when you stop assuming they are idiots and questioning their motives and instead giving them the benefit of the doubt that they DO want to grow and respecting them. Most people are actually doing the best they can and it's overkill and overly harsh and destroys trust to think you have to tear them down to help them people grow. Contrary to the cliche, you don't have to be brutal to be honest. In fact "brutal honesty" is not really honest. It is very one-sided, seeing only the negative when in fact most people are basically good. Your philosophy is a very lazy way of thinking about it. I have watched some pretty brilliant people pull great growth from others without shaming them. It takes skill though.
ENTPs have a difficult time with this because you have Ti parent (so you think you are right) and Fe child. The reason brutal honesty does not work as well as kindness is because brutal honestly makes the assumption that the person is intentionally doing whatever it is that you think they are doing wrong. Brutal honesty is inherently underestimating of others. When you approach someone with the assumption that underestimates them, then you are not seeing the whole person but instead seeing just a negative side to them. That is YOUR flaw. I challenge your assertion that it is fake to see the good in people. It is actually dishonest to come at someone with an automatic underestimation of them because an honest perspective would see both the good and the bad in them. You are smarter than this Mr. Joseph. I challenge you to rethink your philosophy. Delve a bit deeper into human psychology. It's not fake to see the good in people. It is there if you are willing to see it.

Aubrey holy shit, Aubs ma Gobs, I completely agree. There is no place for shame or humiliation in society. It’s fine to feel “ashamed” because it teaches you what you do not want to feel, ever again, and thus, you will most likely avoid whatever it was that you did which caused you to feel ashamed. But shame is bullying, elitist, and exploitive. I was a professor, and I remember as a student, and as a professor, students telling me about some asshole faculty member, and all the shit this particular faculty member pulled, and then following it up with “bit I learned more from that professor than I did from anyone else that semester”. I had this response “No you didn’t. You would have learned a ton more from that professor had they treated you with respect and had an ounce of humility. If you say this, I fear you say this to justify your suffering in some way, so that you don’t feel that it was a waste, but it was. A waste. And it had nothing to do with you. People can objectively be assholes. This was an asshole called a “professor” who exploited the inherent vulnerability a student must have in order to learn. They should be ashamed of themselves and they should be held accountable for their actions. You do not need to justify this treatment for any reason, it is far better to accept that this was a complete waste of your time and only caused you needless pain so that, in the future, you vet your faculty very thoroughly, so as to prevent any future waste of your valuable time.” I said this every single time. And I wish more people would do the same. And this is why I left academia for a while. Hypocrisy and unchecked corruption galore.

I am very aware of my paranoid inclinations and have taken great strides to avoid giving in to it as to avoid burning the innocent. If negative patterns are found, it is best not to jump on that. Rather, think harder and you'll likely find more scenarios which can also fit an incomplete puzzle. If something feels off, it likely is, but consider the consequences of what happens next. I say, treat things at face value, while keeping an eye on what's happening until you have something more concrete to act on than your own thoughts. If/when you do find they are indeed not innocent, by all means roast them.
...Also, don't give someone information that can destroy you, simply because they are nice. Some things are to be kept secret, even if you think you can trust someone. If it is not pertinent information, it doesn't need to be shared. Keep your ego in check.

I can get analysis paralysis if I get too much piled on at one time. The golden rule is to let people in, let them see a lot, let them learn and help you, but never EVER give away the key component, the hidden 5% trick that makes it all work and hang together. Regarding a short con on an INTJ, I don't think it's really possible, with me at least. You mentioned getting us to make an impulsive decision and while it is true that we WILL make decisions that appear to be impulsive, they are actually quickly calculated. It's not because we are being conned. I am highly aware when I'm being conned. But I'll often go along with it anyway simply out of curiosity or for fun. I am not offended by someone trying to con me because I can see what they are doing and I feel more powerful than they do so I don't have any resistance to them doing it. In fact, I'll play dumb and let them get away with it at times. Also, when it comes to making an impulsive decision to buy something for example, I am well-aware if I'm being manipulated but I'll often make the purchase anyway due to the desire to please my inferior Se. It's more about satisfying that pleasure. The manipulation just so happens to be going on at the same time but is not what is motivating me. I often make the decision to give in to my Se whether someone is trying to manipulate me or not.

U say INTJ may appear impulsive but decisions are quickly calculated. What I find more fascinating is that ppl can't comprehend how often our "impulsive" decisions were actually decided years ago when we thought of a hypothetical or saw something happen to someone else & thought deeply about what we would do if we ever got into that situation. So when the situation comes we are instantly ready. Maybe we decided 5 yrs ago what our decision would be in this moment haha.

The only way self-defense is acceptable there (so he said) was if it is purely based on instinct. For the INTJs that now distrust CS here is some logic that will help you feel better:
    • CS is transparently showing you your blind spots, your weak spots = Some volume of CS’s trustworthiness is established.
    • CS is laying out the entire formula showing HOW you can be manipulated = Some more volume of CS’s trustworthiness is established.
    • CS is gifting you the awareness of the hidden holes in the walls around your castle = now you are AWARE when someone is trying to enter through those holes into your “secret”, precious inner sanctum of feelings and “vulnerabilities” and can STOP the invader = Some more volume of CS’s trustworthiness is established.
    • Fact: Chances you will be manipulated by CE: 1) CS likely doesn’t know you, 2) likely won’t ever meet you, 3) and even on the tiny probability chance he meets you he likely doesn’t have enough time to manipulate you, 4) and even if he has enough time to manipulate you he likely wouldn’t because there is likely no impetus/gain for him to do so - more likely a loss (a waste of his time), 5) and even if he successfully manipulated you what he “takes” from you is likely something insignificant like tripping you up - “😱oh no, the world has stopped!” Now multiply all 5 of those low statistical probabilities = an even LOWER probability CS will manipulate you. A future outcome with a statistical probability of 0.0000000011 is realistically = a 0% chance it will happen.
= Check your paranoia. Check your fear. It’s irrational. Also, thank him. He fucking gave you a huge needed gift.

Crushing an INTJ at work is a little bit more complicated then you described it, though. If we love our job we will Ni our way through any challenge you give us. If you want to try it's important that the tasks you give the INTJ is unimportant, makes no sense to do, is boring, but still takes some time and effort to finish. And the most important thing is that the task should have been done by somone else, INTJ:s HATE doing other peoples shitty work! I have a ESTJ colleague that regularly asks me to do small tasks, that takes longer for her to explain to me than to just do her self, because she's "too stressed out". It annoys the hell out of me, especially knowing we have the same amount of work to get done and that the only reason she can't handle hers is because she have to ask the boss before making any decision because she "just has to know that it's ok". Is it because you believe the education of it will be used more for types to protect themselves than for exploiters to exploit? If so, the video is not phrased in such a way that addresses the type for protection, rather than the exploitee to exploit. Of course every social interaction is social manipulation in a way, but there is a difference between consciously and unconsciously going about it in a vampirish kind of way. Just an INTJ trying to help with ethics here, when you feel you are 'being science' as you aptly put it, ethics is also a big part of science 😎
