Interesting video, as usual. We’ve only been there once but it was an important visit. We met on a blind date in June 1971 and by September that year were engaged. We set a wedding date for 12 months later and put down a deposit on a Semi in the village where I was living. The house would be ready before our wedding date but the Gas cooker we chose from the Huddersfield show room was a bit more elusive as they couldn’t confirm delivery at any time. On a visit to Conwy we spotted the same cooker in their gas showroom and enquired if they could deliver it to Kirkheaton, they said they could but a couple of weeks after we would return from honeymoon. They were as good to their word and we only had to cook on a primus stove for a couple of weeks. We are still together over 50 years after we met. PS, Edward 1, The Hammer of the Scots, is my 23rd Great Grandfather.
