The funniest thing about this is that dio probably stopped time, ran down stairs, put polnereff back, ran back up stairs and got back into his pose like he didnt just troll tf outta him

He wasn’t flying he was using his stand to jump But it wasn’t as clear in the anime but it was seen more in the manga
Yeah that would just look really stupid in the anime, they decided to just change it to "over dramatic jumping/flying" so the fight and everything else is more fluent and doesn't look so troll. In general jjba has many problems in the anime as back then, araki didnt consider how everything would play out in real time/animated, so scenes like kars and joseph falling from a cliff with a 30 second dialogue or just Dio talking 20 hours in the "5 second" time span of ZA WARUDO as in the manga these scenes just had speech bubbles that sum it up in one image.

Technically yes. He was able to maneuver around Zeppelin and Jonathan in first encounter relatively easily(former who was Hamon master) and made sport out of seasoned hamon user Dire, despite that Dio had been a vampire for few weeks while those two had practiced their art for a lifetime.
He really only found his match in Jonathan, but then again Dio believed that it was not Hamon that decided the tide of battle but Jonathan's unbreakable will. "I completly forgot! The more you beat him, the stronger he gets!"

Not really. For instance king crimson coild just blow away the time of the splash hitting him, made in heaven would be too fast, ger would just say no fuck you, Sticky fingers would allow bruno to zip into a surface safely, arguably white album: gently weeps could block the splash via frozen air, little feet could shrink, and possibly others could avoid or stop the attack. Of course pillar men are immune but i digress, ive attempted to make a xomprehensive list just now of the stands the 20 m emeral splash wouldnt work on. The hand is too slow to erase it all, killer queen is useless, earth wind and fire maybe?

The thing about JJBA Anime is that almost everything is 1:1 from the manga, so when you see DIO flying around, it's just a scene taken from the manga. When they talk whilst mid-air, they really just used their stand to super jump, like Jotaro did in the desert. The dialogue just happen to be so long, it just happens to look like they are flying even they they only jumped with their stand.

Funny thing is, Hermit Purple is the entire reason Battle Tendency Joseph was so clever. Araki confirmes he has always had the Stand and that's how he's always been able to read people so well since Hermit Purple is a telepathic Stand. So every time he said "Your next line is..." that was because he was unconsciously already using Hermit Purple.
So, yeah, in a FIGHT it doesn't do anything physical but it's what has always given him his mental edge.

I actually think part 3 and 5 are best when it comes to stands, stands are supposed to be reflections of the person and there fighting spirit and style those in part 4 have almost nothing to do with the character with few exceptions where as in 5 and 3 they really match the people, jotaro is the embodiment of power and domination his stand reflects that giorno is smart scheming but caring and his stand perfectly reflects that

BTW if you think JoJo is basic, oooh boy, you're in for a treat in future parts. Some of the best stories ever in anime/manga, some of the most complex stands and some of the most emotional scenes ever. I bawled my eyes out in future parts.

I think them flying is a mixture of jumping,the stand carrying them (like chariot lifted polnaref,also that darby younger guy was also floating ) and extended time ,because in anime 1 sec is like 1 minutes. Also when the time is stopped gravity doesn't affect them i guess.
But Jotaro didn't use his stand to carry himself in some previous situations which could've been useful, so i think its not easy to master it and takes effort and mental strength.
I'm really looking forward to the next part.

Most stands fall within the same sets of limitations, so that no matter who you’re fighting, it’s a pretty fair fight. Rare stands like The World go beyond those limitations and stack every fight in the stand user’s favor.

Please people..... the stands name is “the world” for a reason. He doesn’t freeze time in a certain field, he freezes the world. What so that small section of the world is just gonna stop moving?
Even though it failed hard, the 20-Meter radius emerald splash is legit one of the strongest attacks in all of JoJo’s there’s about 10 stands that could probably counter it
