20 years ago I discovered a great band called Dark Tranquillity. That's half a life ago. This song is another culmination point, another validation of talent. And hear how Stanne delivers some of his best vocal work here!
2:10 to 2:50 a beautiful travel fromold old school DT Skydancer to the 2020 DT , the machinery of this band is on its tip top!

The songwriting on this album so far really seems to recall the kind of vibe from Character which is awesome cuz that's always been my favorite DT album.
The bass slide into the chorus is the most hype shit ever.
Damn DT really did good on this record. All their previous ones have been good too, but this one speaks to me more.
That juicy guitar playing is the new blood the band needed for so long, keep rocking guys

that's a harsh choice of word - "destroying". what's more, if you were in In Flames' position, with the thoughts they had as of that album, would you still want to crystallize those thoughts and keep them?
Hi@@zekt98arius. I am only describing a reality. The re-recorded version of Clayman is too different from the original one, they have changed almost everything doing the songs more soft. They didn´t need to re-record one of the albums which gave them most of the fame that they have nowadays.
@@EuskalMetalhead they didn't rerecord the whole album only re recorded 4 songs as a bonus to the remastered the old mix. The new remaster of the old mix actually sounds better than the original release.
@@randyranderson5122 i didn't talk about the re-recordings. But the remaster of the original album, which was released along with the re recorded versions...i think the re recordings suck.

I am beyond excited about this album, it sounds new, but at the same time nostalgic, this is trully rapturous!
Almost 30 years ago i told my friends dark tranquility was better and more talented then in flames, they disagreed....30 years later and i can see more then ever i was right. Dark Tranquility is still doing high quality and true melodic death metal, while in flames burned out many years ago.

I've liked DT since almost the beginning, they are great and have kept true to their sound through all this time without falling on trends. They have never disappointed us!
Although this song is very good in my opinion the sound mix or overall tone used removes the excitement of a more 'raw' or 'in your face' sound that could be achieved by allowing some instruments or guitar riffs to be louder or singled out to better feel the intensity. It kind of feels like a monochromatic sound.
Maybe it is youtube - check the new clip it sounds way better

Dal vivo mi ha fatto questa impressione. Non se la tira, come molti altri... Infine, il songwriting è pulito, come piace a me: non coinvolge tematiche scomode, quali politica o religione, per esempio, ma si limita a descrivere condizioni umane, sensazioni ed impressioni sulla vita... Durante un’intervista di molti anni fa, disse che loro erano con la testa rivolta esclusivamente alla musica. Penso sia questo uno dei segreti della loro longevità.

normally you can always expect them to release something very awesome.....but this time for me it was a little bit different, since it's the first album without NIklas on guitars........but now after those two songs - wow! It's awesome how they still captured every part of their sound, but without standing still. They just deliver, no matter what....amazing!
