I just found your channel this week and I am been hooked on your content!! The advice and tips and visuals are truly inspiring and I can not get enough. I love the BTS of your pre production schedule. And I will definitely use Mila note for my pre production. I was wondering what website do you use to get the still shots of how you want your doc to look? You had stills from the joker and other movies. Keep up the amazing work!!
What’s up Caleb! Thanks for the kind words brother. For the stills I used Shotdeck. Another good site for that is Frameset. Really glad you’re enjoying the content. Let me know if you ever have any questions in the future.🙏🏻
Hey Alex, great video especially for me working on pre-production for my first doc right now! At what time would you recommend to do the interviews? For your doc 'Rise' you shot them after the fight if I'm not completely wrong. Did you still shoot some of the b-roll stuff after the interviews or was everything seen shot ahead? Thanks in advance and keep it up!
Hey brother, great question I actually shot all the interviews before the fight. And luckily I had what I needed to tell the story the way I wanted to but that’s not always the case I always suggest doing pre-and post interviews for whatever documentary or topic you’re working on that way you could get authentic responses before the event, or in this case of fight, and then you can get the reaction after the fact.
@@Alexzarfatifilms yeah I was also thinking about doing one interview before and one after. There is just no chance to make the setup look the same, how would you work around that?
