I remember me and my friends look at each other then laugh watching that scene cause wtf was that? You can just do that all this time?? Then smashes the camera on its face going back. 😭😭
Pretty sure this represents descending into the various circles of hell and you only start to ascend once you atone for your sins. Oh, and I’ve been to Paris a couple of times and twice went down into the catacombs. I have pics with the skulls and bones and some of the tunnels. It is very very far down.
@@AlexisW.22 if you liked that you should check out The Dark and the Wicked 2020. It’s on prime I think. The only horror movie I’ve had to turn off because I got too freaked out.
THE JUMPSCARE IS INSANE. I watched this with my sister, we both like horror movies. This one freaks us out because of the jumpscares and that freaking guy who appeared again after being crushed. Like WTF.
scarlett is my favorite horror genre main lead, she's SO UNHINGED!! from having such an intense passion for history and archeology, how she basically jumps into anything without a second thought, and straight up pushing the evil creatures 😂 she's just great
One fact i always like to point out it's that when they find the stone they all HAD to swim, so they were wet, all of them were wet, except for La Taupe
I definitely didn't understand the whole stone situation, but man was I thoroughly entertained by this movie. Also, Bryce reacting to that jumpscare by getting closer to Rob, I feel you. And like you, the people around me need to work on their reaction time 😤
Not only is this movie about the 7 trials of hell and each character trying to pass them and face their past/mistakes, but it has ties to Danté's Inferno and what hell is suspected to be like. This is an insanely great found footage horror movie with insane detail, allegories, and story. Definitely recommend watching some explanation videos on this movie and Wendigoon's video on Danté's Inferno for a better understanding of what's going on and things you might of missed or don't know about 😁
this is one of my favorite movies because it introduced me to learn more about dante alighieri's divine comedy which, you may know, features the nine circles of hell and inspired this movie!
Allegedly, in the early 90's a group that explored the catacombs, found an abandoned camera. The footage was of a man apparently lost running around scared in the catacombs, that seemed to be increasingly losing his mind. At some point he threw the camera on the ground and the footate ended there, and he was never found dead or alive. It would be one of the inspirations for this movie. Also, once the police were inspecting something in one part of the catacombs and found a whole clandestine cinema with huge screen and carved seats, and even some kind of intruder alarm.
This is one of my favorite horror movies. When 1 of you said that ppl could easily bring other ppl down into the catacombs & off them it reminded me of a story by Edgar Allan Poe titled The Cask of Amontillado.
One of the found footage movies I actually enjoyed besides cloverfield, I really enjoyed the whole take on Dante’s inferno which Dante descends through the Nine Circles of Hell to get out to the other side and I liked the only way to make it out is by admitting their sins basically repenting very creative. Fun fact: I believe they really filmed this in the catacombs but obviously anything they moved like the bones were props.
This movie has been one of the few movies that actually makes me feel so unsettled while watching it lol. Like, it’s not scary in the jump scare sense even though there are jump scares. It just fucks with your brain so much 😅
Oh my gosh! I love this movie! I can't wait to watch your reactions!!!! Editing to mention that I saw this in the theatre and it was an experience to say the least. The scene where the audio goes funny is was really cool to experience in the theatre.
I always say this is one of my favourite "B rated" horror movies, along the same line as Grave encounters, would love to see you guys react to that movie
this is basically loosely based upon Dante’s Inferno that is about a character that travels through the 9 circles of Hell, where each circle represents a sin. The deeper the you go, the more severe the sin/punishment. You have to acknowledge your sin and be forgiven, otherwise you die. This movie has very prominent religious undertones that you miss if you don’t look for them.
Oh, I've been there! It was a very strange experience. I actually became very queasy when we left and I completely blame that place. It actually made me vomit. But then oddly, just a couple of hours later, I felt really good. Energized even. Like I had a B12 shot or something. It was a very strange experience.
@@7n154 thank you for sharing! I haven’t made it to visit yet but it’s on the top of my list of oddities to hit. I love hearing others experiences. Thank you! 😊
This film was actually filmed in the catacombs and is the first movie to receive permission to do so. They used very limited props so were really crawling around among the bones. Check out the Filming section of the Wikipedia page for the film.
AMAZING movie!!! Gives such a creepy feeling! And never trust horror movie ratings, they usually are super poor/low ball🖤🖤 some of my favs or even classics probs have like 12% lol.
“Imagine taking a girl to see this. I’d never get another date” lmao my ex picked this movie for our first date. It was a very memorable date thanks to this movie 😂
I was there. I saw this. The one and only horror film that I've ever seen in theatres. My friends managed to trick me into it. It was... so very intense. It was an experience like I can't even describe. The claustrophobia might have been the worst part.
Love this flick, a hidden gem not much reaction. Think it was just found footage burnout. Character George was in 2 of them, Cloverland the other. One of the few flicks that actually filmed in catacombs
The car scene truly disturbed me when i watched this movie. I thought of it randomly for weeks and it STILL gives me goosebumps. His legs just sticking out of the ground like that 😬😨
i’ve been to the catacombs in paris! obviously i went on a tour but it was pretty well lit up even tho we went at night and wasn’t too cramped on the path we took. really cool experience!
44:30 naaah i canttt the breaking into song xD when i first watched this with my friends on horror movie night i was shitting my pants but this reaction was too funny:D
Bro Bryce' reaction at 14:18 cracked me up, I had actual tears in my eyes. I just love found-fottage horror/thriller movies. I hope you'll watch "Incantation" one day, that movie kinda reminds me of it but it's definitely bit more disturbing. Loved the reaction
I saw this in the theater and almost had an anxiety attack when Benji got stuck. It significantly got less scary and very funny when Scarlett just punched that stone creature like it was nothing lol
They kept the camera because until the end it had the largest flashlight. The camera turned into a flashlight half way through the journey. Clever way to answer the “why are they filming”
It might be because it’s fairly late into the night when I’m watching this-but that comment about shaving the stone like it’s Parmesan just sent me. It makes total sense why you guys created this channel.
Great reaction guys!! I actually love this movie. I'm a sucker for the found footage style movies but I know it's not everyone's cup of tea. Glad you liked it regardless!! Any chance you'll do more horror movies? 👀

Bryce leaning into rob with that jumpscare for comfort lol great reaction guys
Further proof we need to keep recommending horror movies for Bryce’s priceless reactions😭 (sorry Bryce)
He would literally be the best person to watch horror movies or play scary games with lol
@@yasminemixon9340 omg Bryce horror gaming channel is a NEED
Pls anything but shitty teen dramas

Have they watched [Rec]? If they haven't that would be an insane one to see the reaction for
Scarlett just shoving the stone monster away honestly destroyed me. I wish stuff like that would happen more in horror movies lol
It’s a GREAT shot 😂
She said in the beginning interview that she has a black belt in Krav Maga. It shows❤
I remember me and my friends look at each other then laugh watching that scene cause wtf was that? You can just do that all this time?? Then smashes the camera on its face going back. 😭😭

@@fvampsI mean had it not been for her they wouldn’t have been there in the first place, so… 😂
instantly top 10 reaction lol. unhinged commentary, the jumpscares, the 1000 wrong ways of pronouncing “la taupe” hahahaha
27:14 Bryce jump scaring himself is killing me omg 😭
This movie gave me so much anxiety lol
Also, the way Scarlett was pressuring George to go down there with her knowing his trauma really irked me.
Bryce's reaction at 14:17 was peak, especially right after he was wondering what the "horror" was gonna be.

MY ALL TIME FAVORITE, IM SO EXCITED!!!! This movie, and “the autopsy of Jane doe” are so slept on. Love y’all DOWNNNN
I would LOVE to see them watch The Autopsy of Jane Doe. That movie needs to be mentioned more!
And the taking of Deborah Logan! Super underrated

One fact i always like to point out it's that when they find the stone they all HAD to swim, so they were wet, all of them were wet, except for La Taupe
The "layout" is "as above, so below" which eventually lead them back out. Like a sort of mirror setup.
They were literally going through Dantes Inferno

I am actually terrified of watching horror. Never seen one before. But I feel safe with y’all. Let’s do this
Bryce kills me every time I love him so much 😂
I woulda totally given Bryce a second date. Both people getting scared from a scary movie is awesome to me
It seems like an equation: They react to horror movies+ Bryce gets scared as fuck+ Rob laughing with his pain+ (Zuff's humor) = pleased audience
my grandma (a huge horror movie nerd) took me to see this when I was 12, to this day this movie makes my heart race lmao
