- Today we fix a little bit more of the corrosion on the LS3 swap Defender. Big surprise. The tub is finally mounted and we can get the doors bolted on. Starting to look like a real vehicle again.
We also got a delivery to fancy up the front of that 430hp LS3 V8.

Great to see the old girl coming together, even if she is fighting you a little bit along the way. It’s all about getting that rear tub positioned correctly, otherwise the rest of the panel alignment will be poo. Really looking forward to see what other special parts you come up with, using your new 3D printer. 😎👍

Hey you have a stash too lol. must be a rover thing. And you will be adjusting and adjusting way to many bolts to line up hahaha

Well I guess it is nearly plug & play with the panels and other body work, lots of plugging & lots of playing to make it work lol.

you might talk about this on the next video, but what power steering pump are you going to use (gm, rover) i think i remember reading that rover steering boxes can only handle 1000psi and most gm pumps are 1200 and above.
I have a gm one from an Impala coming that I’m going to try first otherwise it will be a Camaro one. There are some reduced pressure valves out there that I’ll end up using.
i bet those doors wernt cheap they are expensive here in the uk so god knows how much they cost accross the pond
I’m sure they were enough. I’d have to go back and look what I paid as I can’t remember. This thing is a bit of a bottomless money pit anyways haha.
