I cried the first time I heard this song as well. For me it was the music that had me emotional not necessarily the lyrics, which I think makes it even more powerful. And then seeing this live, Simon would sit down while singing this, which really makes it thought provoking. Idk this whole song is an experience. It's been my ringtone since 2015, so I guess you could say it's one of my favorites 😉🍻
What a fab time waking up and you av played this awesome amazing 👍 fantastic track this is my favourite on this album hairs stuck up on my back instruments arrangements and once again Simon lebon strong voice and vocal cords wow wow wow wow wow just brilliant
Quite a few Songs over the years have personally resonated with me but god damn it this one hit the nail head on, God damn you Duran…..tears in my eyes again!!
This one is breathtakingly beautiful. Simon’s introspective exploration into the fragility of relationships has matured with the band. I feel like he read a book about the potential that we live in a multiverse and is playing out every scenario two people can go through before they find themselves in a relationship.
Again the look on your face when the chorus with the strings kick in is priceless. I reckon the same thing will happen with the last track! LOVE this song so much ❤💯
One of Durans best ever Just adore this song Best of the album and Durans second best ballad, best being Someone else not me which is on Pop Trash But fuck me this song is just so beautiful Perfect and brilliant
MAJESTIC.Its live version is also greatly performed on Graham Norton's show with a live orchestra and instrumentalists playing physical srtings.Very moving.
This track is a perfect example of how DD needn't try and recreate Save A Prayer for every ballad, this is a fantastic track highlighting their song writing abilities and varied sound pallets. When they step away from their past and create new territory it always is more rewarding for them and the listeners.
@@lebonron i think you misunderstood me, I said it WASN'T an attempt to recreate SAP, " it was a perfect example of how DD NEEDN'T try and recreate SAP".
Pronounced Frew-shaun-tee, from the Red Hot Chili Peppers (off/on). This song is simply beautiful, majestic even (digging a lil deep into the adjective bin, lol) ❤️🎶
LOVE this song, it is epic! this is very existentialist song. i could imagine Albert Camus the myth of Sisyphus saying those things. the indifference of the world while we try to force it into a meaningful structure. and it is Jogn Frusciante who was Red hot chilli pepers guitarist, and he is an amazing artist in itself. and regarding dancephobia: you are just too kind and optimistic.....but it looked like you are just wanting it to be over 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Haha, maybe what you said still applies to my second discussion of "Danceophobia" here? Basically, I don't think your comment about my body-language in that video was wrong even if I didn't dislike the track in any formal sense.
Hi Matt, loved your reaction to this tune, it beautiful and a little dark to, I'm gonna reference Roger when he said DD don't do ballards, but then they came up with Save A Prayer, and I think this is the only time after that that they actually nailed another ballard😃LENNY
Dom brown plays is lead guitar 🎸 player on the live performances totally awesome amazing 👍 guy who is fantastic brilliant awesome guy he's been with um now since 2006 and he's brilliant live gives is heart and soul wow wow wow 🥰
I wanted to like this song so much. This band outlasted my defunct marriage (23 years) for God's sake. But all I could picture was this eventually playing in a car commercial ft Matthew Mcconaghy going "alright alright alright" driving said vehicle. A remix would be enormous for this and some of the other songs which could be great but feel more like filler
This song is liquid gold. The first time you hear it, it just lifts you up in so many ways.
It's also works the second, third, ... fiftieth time. ;D

It is gold! I seriously had an emotional experience (pure joy!) while listening to this one. And now you've got me excited for the final tune!

I love that last sentence and concept. One should not feel obligated to be anchored to the past, even a successful past.
i disagree, what makes it an attempt to recreate SAP? i see people do this a lot. i don't see it not musically, and definitely not thematically...

I’m a sucker for their ballads & this one is at the top.

I respect your opinion and Dom is a nice guy but Andy, Warren are something else…. I felt spoiled with these two in the band!
I’d bet that guitars on this song are played by John Frusciante.
@@analoguesynths yes Frusciante is playing guitars on this song and I really appreciate his work on the album!
