That was me asking about bagel place :) At about the 2:50 mark you walked by our fave cheesesteak place in the world, Surf’s Up. We drive down for the day from Silver Spring just to go there and DB Fries next door. Bethany Books is must stop for me every visit. And we end the day with awesome crabcakes at Woody’s in Dewey. Thanks for the video :)
Wow - loved watching this - when I was a kid my parents had a house in Bethany West and every other weekend we were down to the shore - what the blue Surf has become those were super cheap places to stay right on the beach -many weekends with my parents staying there - loved seeing the your - that was awesome !!! Loved seeing the boardwalk as well - thanks so much for a trip to Bethany !!!! Would love to see a walk thru Rehoboth if you ever felt like going down there !!!
Thanks for the video as always. We have never been to Bethany Beach as we just drive thru it coming and going to the CM/Lewes Ferry on the way to OC, maybe we will check it out. There are few places colder in Winter on the east coast when the wind is blowing off the ocean!
It's a pretty cool town with some different kinds of shops. It's small, so I wouldn't expect to spend a whole lot of time there. But it is fun to just look around.
Nice video Jat. The Shipwreck Museum has some real cool local history. The owner has been involved in a lot of dives around the globe. Also have you ever tired Touch of Italy's pizza?
Yup the Delaware beach towns like Bethany Beach are way different than OC is. Quieter even in season. Still some green space left unlike OC. Drove up the coast couple of years ago just for something different to do. Dune replenishment was going on when I was there. Cold wind for cold times Jay & Ashely. Hot coco matters when taking a brisk walk. Freezing ur azz off is not on the menu. My daughter's family was down to OC over Thanksgiving weekend. Went to see the Festival of Lights.
@@ReelJayB I've heard that line before JB. Been visiting OC since the 70's. Where did all the extra people come from? Across the state line to the north.
I guess the British Restaurant is gone in Bethany Beach? I actually went to the Shipwreck Museum years ago and they had some interesting stuff in there but it is very small and I was not allowed to film anything just take some pictures. They were kind of strict about filming but that was years ago.
I've always passed by the shipwreck museum and wondered what it was like. Not really for filming, but my own personal interests. I'll have to check it out sometime. The British restaurant....I can't remember which one that was...
Thanks jay : when we were in OC this yr. We stopped in Bethany beach but only to see the general store( based on your advice). Next time though we will explore the whole area. Any recommendations on a place to eat and drink adult beverages, Merry Christmas to you and your family. Health and happiness in the new yr Yooper Frank
Enjoyed seeing the walk around and seeing what places were open. Is there any home-less, in OC, Bethany, OP, Berlin? If not, how are they controlling the issue? Really like seeing the areas by car and walk around and occasional drone.Carry on ...
Ahhhh yes. The homeless. Soooooo.....from what I've been hearing, they are all in DE now. I can't remember the town name, maybe Georgetown? But they are catering to the homeless and it's now become a problem for them. But as far as OP/OC/Berlin and Bethany, there aren't any, I personally think they all went to DE.
we liked staying in Bethany Beach as it was so much more chill than OC. it has many more options for eats these days than 10 or 15 years back. will never again stay in OC during Bike Week. too much noise and commotion.
Great video as always, lilys place is a must!!! The empanadas and arepas are amazing!!!

IRI is fun, I've been fishing up there a few times.
Still love it in ocean city jay
I'll be honest that's my favorite beach down there.Love off season. ❤❤❤
It's VERY quiet there, and peaceful!
@ReelJayB yes that's why it's my favorite 🏖 beach.
When i lived in o.c. i would do some shopping in Delaware, no tax, lol, great video, tnx Man!

Dang all the way from Silver Spring?? I'm curious to see how good it is!
@ they LOAD it with steak and the bun is super squishy soft. We don’t get cheese on ours so can’t comment on that part. I could eat one right now. 💪🏼

So glad you liked it! Yeah maybe we'll do a Rehobeth one next, we haven't been there in years so it would be fun.
Nice JB, you guys will like the ship wreck museum, be safe
Ahhh thank you!!!! Really appreciate it, I was hoping someone would comment.

The shipwreck museum opens daily a 11 am, totally worth the visit, they accept donations, thanks for sharing and doing what you do j
Thanks Don! Definitely going to check it out. I'm sure my boys would love to see it too.
Thers's a video of that Shipwreck musuem on Daniel Kesters Coast.
Nice video Jat. The Shipwreck Museum has some real cool local history. The owner has been involved in a lot of dives around the globe. Also have you ever tired Touch of Italy's pizza?
I LOVE the pizza at Touch Of Italy! Them, Albertinos and Ripienos are my top 3.

VERY quiet. The joke is DE comes to OC when they want to party. HAHA

Thanks Frank! I'm not too sure of places to eat and drink, we usually stay in OC so I can't really recommend any in Bethany Beach.
But we did find out that north dewy beach is very expensive. Lots of gated communities.
Think for a off season video update keep up with the great work and I will be back down there next summer for sure

You know anything about the Castle House on 117th St?
No, all I know is it's a private residence.

Bethany Beach definitely is more quiet, but I prefer OC. Bethany Beach is also very congested during the summer, way worse than OC.
@@ReelJayB could be. don't visit the shore anymore until the fall. seemed ok this past mid September.
Pomodoro's is good Pizza, but get to them off season or you may wait hours....
Ahhhh good to know! Thanks for the tip, I didn't know the lines would be that long!
