You guys left behind a great legacy and fortunate enough to have gotten the chance at that level. You made the most of it and it shows in the recordings 👍🏻
The guitar is tuned down for a whole step, or step and a half, so that's why it's in the, like you say "unrecognizable key". Mike Tramp can't raise his voice quite so high, like he used to do before, cause he's in the certain age, so tuning must be adapted to his current voice range. Unfortunately, people getting old, likewise, their voice range is falling down little by little as they getting older and older, especially if they had problems with their voice or vocal cords before, like Jon Bon Jovi did, and Tom Keifer, formerly of Cinderella
Although I think there are guys out there who could’ve done Vito’s spot more justice. You have to remember these songs have all been adjusted to fit Mike tramps ages vocal range. I think he’s playing a full step lower than the original wait was recorded so it’s bound to sound off

YUP! Going to see him in Satellite Beach in a couple months and pretty excited. I will never miss a chance to see someone from my past time that played my favorite music. It would be great if it was the whole band, but I will take this beautiful man alone too.

There’s a reason musicians do what they do for a living, they love it and you’ve been performing live for all those years, and you are told to retire it’ll drive you crazy just sitting at home maybe going on trips but you can never willingly retire from your work if you love it. And i respect people’s who have the courage to go on stage even in old age, they really respect their passion. Ps we owe them respect for giving us such a nice era of music. When Rock was authentic and singers knew how to sing in pitch.

It's tuned down 5 half-steps from the original key. If he could still sing it just a couple of half-steps higher, then it would sound better.
Watching videos like this really makes you appreciate how great of a guitar player Vito Bratta really was.
