I think Michigan may be one of the few teams that can get away with starting a true freshman quarterback simply because there not a qb dependent team. There gonna lean on the running game and defense and not ask much out of him in his 1st year just my opinion.
Definitely looking forward to next season. And this one couldn't have ended better. Two defensive masterpieces by Martindale. When you can get the same results with different players against two quality opponents, that is scheme...that's the playbook. Go Blue!!
If Bryce wins the starting job, make it five in a row vs little sister state. It would be just like Ryan day to prep for last years M team instead of the current version that has the Trevor Lawrence type qb who has given them fits historically.
I don't know what Dan Lanning was doing for the two and a half weeks leading up to this game. He certainly wasn't watching the Michigan film as he did the complete opposite. They didn't play tough at all. They abandoned playing good zone defense and had -23 rushing yards. Instead of playing tough ball they tried to get cute and OSU messed them up.
The playoffs start in the 4 conferences and the final 4 meet. The independents have to join a conference or be left out. Also, use a Premier League to Lower tier league format, like in soccer. And just like that European soccer format, the champion of the lower tier moves up to P4 and bottom feeder moves down to that lower tier league. The lower tier league competes for their own in a playoff format. Four teams each year move up and down. This gives a San Diego State a chance to join a p4 conference and kick a Rutgers or Northwestern down. It’ll force programs to spend as well, if you want to play.
1. Beat OSU, which after the first two decades of this century I’m never taking for granted. 2. Won a bowl game against a ranked opponent which happens a lot less often than you’d think in Michigan history. 3. Picked up the number one recruit in the country in Underwood so the future is looking bright. Was this the best season ever or even what we hoped would happen this year? No. But we ended well so things are looking better for next season and beyond, which is the best you can hope fore when you don’t win a championship. Also we just came off the best three year run in program history after the DARK TIMES, so I’ll take 8-5.
Not since Gary Moeller has M ever been able to develop a *backup* QB. Lloyd started the culture of a “King Starter” that is protected, and Harbaugh only slightly disrupted that. But if you’re going to run a “Smash” offense, IMO that requires running the QB. And running the QB requires depth at the QB position, because injuries happen. Sherrone is going to have to make some choices that his predecessors have avoided.
Go to a 16 - or 8 team CFP. The bye week hurts, doesn't help. Quit keeping the warm weather teams in the warm weather. Seeding is a joke with bias ruling the process.
Apologies for the audio issues on this one, forgot Seth was muted when we first went live🙃🙃
alot of background noise
@ apologies for that. We will have it fixed in the future.
Eric ( guy on the upper right needs to mute when he isn’t talking so we don’t hear when he’s typing)

Excellent show gentlemen!
Aye! Thanks man!

Michigan is going to be a balanced offense 50 run 50 pass.

I hope that Bryce Underwood learns, and improves so much in the offseason that he wins the starting job in fall camp. 🙏🏽

The big problem is there's too many teams now in the college football playoff there should not be more than eight teams.
Would someone explain to me why I'm supposed to be excited about an 8-5 season? A year ago we were 15-0 national champions...

Why are the keyboards on the mic?
Again we had some audio issues on this one. Our apologies, should be fixed next time.

Why aren’t you at your post?
Milroe is not even close to Underwood RIGHT NOW TODAY!
The kid has been getting ready for this is whole life - he's made for the big game - stop playing
