    Would be cool when you do the review on the blocks to show how you set them up. I'm learning tree work and I find your channel really informative. Keep up the good work buddy!

    the isc compact block for 1/2 rope works pretty damn good for it's size.

    You got the coolest stuff ever yes great I love it thank you so much but I do have one other question on top of many other questions that we will talk about in the near future but how do you keep your hands so clean?

    • @Human1337

      No clue, had to watch it again, must have been an off day or something, normally they're all kinds of mucked up.

    So meaning if it's a pretty big chunk you're taking down you can put two ropes on it run two ropes through the block one through the middle hole and then one on the actual block part and tie it to the piece your blocking down

    Wait till you climb a few dozen trees with that Big DMM on your saddle..... you'll quickly realize that the lighter one "for redirects" is JUST FINE...LOL....

      Samuel Luria I was thinking the same thing! HAHAHAHHA. i don't know of any trees around here that are going to need a 30kn wll snatch to get by. let alone 22!

    • @samuelluria4744
      @samuelluria4744 8 лет назад

      josh maher - Yeah, I get by 999 times out of 1,000 with the 5/8ths DMM blocks. My 3/4" ones are mainly for special situations. Pulling entire trees up out of gullys with excavators, hanging entire trees off of other trees, yadda yadda yadda....

    Ascenders may be a bit tight on your climb line, Treestuff is like Christmas. No bag of rope Or tactical black pulleys? Lol! You should log in to some rigging rings they take some getting used to but are great to have on hand.

    • @samuelluria4744
      @samuelluria4744 8 лет назад

      Mike8Hunter - Amen, on the rings! Also, RockExotica discontinued the blacked out version of the Unicender😭

    • @Human1337
      @Human1337  8 лет назад

      I did just get a new tactical black Ultra-0, lol. No go on a bag of rope, what I was needing was pretty specific, and I doubt you'd be likely to get 1/2 amsteel in one of those bags, stuff is a bit pricey. I've been watching videos on the rings, look pretty sweet, the deciding factor this purchase was mid-line attachment capability. Will be getting some in the future though, even if it's just to cut one in half to play with a rigging idea I've got brewing.

    Hey buddy and that block the last block you showed the big one that has the hole through it what do you mean by you can run a second line through it can you explain to me please

    • @Human1337
      @Human1337  6 лет назад

      You can use that middle hole as another sheave basically. Smaller diameter bend radius though, so you can't use as big of ropes, still pretty damn big though.

    Human, since you are looking for review ideas ATM, could you maybe revisit some of this stuff? I was just rewatching this (for the DMM Large block) and your Omni Block 2.6 video, and in both you mention that you will re-review them later - is now the time? Have you gotting to use any of those two, or maybe some of the other stuff that you have "just" overviewed? Just a suggestion ;)

    I don't know anything about this stuff, but I do know packaging. The ropey stuff came from China from the plastic bags. Be safe and aware.

    Hey real quick. I'm getting into climbing. But I have no experience. I have no idea what I need to get to start out. I know I need a harness and ropes. And spikes(only used on take downs). But idk what else I'm gonna need. Just to start out. I'm lost. Can you make a video of the things a new climber needs to get to get the ball rolling. Ik it's kind of hard to say. But your input will be a huge help .

      brandan bellotti yea that would be a cool video

    • @Human1337
      @Human1337  8 лет назад +2

      Something I can absolutely do, but honestly, the very best thing you could ever have to start climbing with is an experienced climber. When I first started I had been watching the youtube guys, and reading up on knots/techniques/etc, and thought, yeah, I got this. I couldn't have been more wrong. It's one thing to see it done, it another to do it. Very best and safest way to learn is under the wing of somebody whose been there.
