Upgrade options for the 30W and 50W are the integrated exhaust fan, ring task light, and a rotary device if you don't already have one. Whether or not the wattage will perform to your liking, largely depends on your application and desired cycle times. The most common reason for increasing the wattage is to perform deep engraves in less time.
@@km_777 The fiber is compatible with all Aeon rotaries with the exception of the MultiRoller. So, if you have a PiBurn, Rotoboss, the chuck or the smart roller, it will work with them!
The higher the wattage on the fiber laser the faster it will engrave. Also are you using lightburn ? Check and see if your Fiber Laser is compatible with lightburn if it is get lightburn it will allow you to do more with it.
Thank you for such a great video. I ordered my fiber in 2022 when I bought my CO2. I ended up with the 30watt mainly because I was not sure what I would use it for. I finally received in September of this year but have not started it up yet with being busy with Christmas orders. I cannot wait to follow your journey so I have the courage to get mine up and running. A little sad that last years fibers do not offer any of the extras you have on your fiber.
Hey, Paula! I’ll have some new videos to hopefully help you out that baby to work! You’ll be able to add on the fan and ring light in the near future if you want to. 🥳 Happy New Year!
Have you figured out how to extend the laser area yet? Was told the further out you fiber laser the less quality of the etching. So it’s limited to doing very small items right? Less than 8”x8” …?
Hey there. I have yet to do anything big. I seriously just did that video this week, ha. But my understanding is that yes, you can increase the field size by opting for a taller vertical column and a lens with a larger field size. It ends up being around 12" x 12" work area, and while not as powerful of a beam, still produces excellent results.
I got one free last year when this deal first ran. This laser is much nicer as mine doesn't have the controls on the top, nor the light, not the integrated exhaust, not the lights inside it
Hey there. Correct. A free 50W raycus is what comes with the Novas, which doesn’t have all the bells and whistles mine does, but you’ll be able to order the task light and integrated exhaust fan separately. However, if you upgrade to a SuperNOVA, you get a free 60w JPT MOPA which does includes everything I have on my machine, LED logo, Smart Keys and all.
Saw this promo was still going, but you have to start with a Mira 9 100w which will be around $12k (plus shipping and taxes) and even with the fiber tossed in, that's a lot of cash to put out it seems. Would be nice to see something in a price range that is a little lower (maybe even with the Mira 7), but I guess they gotta stay in the higher level machines in order to do these kind of promos. Thanks for the vid though.
@@ThatMomWithALaser you do make a jig in your co2 for it but for that jig to work you’d need a chuck connected to the fiber and rotated up at the laser. Then it just rotates each section based on the timing and rotation in lighburn similar to a rotary with tumblers. There’s a lot I need to research with it yet!
True. It's not one of the more economical lasers on the market and thankfully there are lots of options for all budgets and comfort levels. With that said, this is true for everything out there. Someone might choose to drive a Hyundai over a Lexus or a Mercedes over a Ferrari. They all get you where you want to go. The ride just might be a little different. With that said, I've proven more than once that anyone can pay off a laser in less than a year if they really want to. I'll link it below for anyone reading this thread. Yeah! What upgrades for EMP 30w are available? Do you think 30w still performs well even though it’s not a 50w?

@@ThatMomWithALaser do you think the piburn grip will work with the fiber … does aeon’s multi roller?! Yahooooo!

I am getting a Fiber Laser soon. Now I can watch your Fiber Laser Videos too. YEA! Happy Holidays !!!!
Yay! We in da fiber laser club now 🤣
Ohhh love that ring light. Other fiber manufacturers are going to be smacking their foreheads when they see that 😅
🤣 they are haha. Sure enough they will be knocking it off soon enough but we know who came up with it! 🥰 BTW, love your channel!

Should the fumes be vented outside ? Or are they not harmful?
Have you done anymore fiber videos or plan to? Just got my emp in. And you helped a lot with the Mira.
wow wow wow! This is wonderful!
Will this laser mark on gold?
What settings on the co2 did you use for the coaster? Thanks..
Do you have your settings?
My favorite thing is the sound it makes!
It’s the coolest thing. Sounds so much better than the co2 🤣
RIGHT?!
Seems very dangerous due to an open beam and potentially eye injury. And fumes? Thoughts?
That is an amazing deal!
Your eyebrows are on point and nice fiber

It does not cut ? Only marking and engraving...
I really want to get a chuck for mine so I can do multiple cards and pens at a time.
I thought you would make a jig for this? Do tell. I’m gonna need all the accessories. 😍

Same!
But its so expensive, a 50w CO2 is about 1500$ and a fiber is about $1400. Im below $3000 vs buying the aeon at 5k
