WIeskirche und Kloster Ettal
Die Wieskirche ist eine Wallfahrtskirche in der Gemeinde Steingaden im Ortsteil Wies. Die 1754 fertiggestellte Kirche wurde 1983 als herausragendes Rokoko-Bauwerk zum Welterbe erklärt.
1330 wurde das Kloster Ettal von Ludwig dem Bayern gegründet. Nach einem Brand im Jahre 1744, musste das zerstörte Gebäude neu errichtet werden. Die Pläne zu dem neuen Barockbau stammten von Enrico Zuccali.
