I am an SA Cowgirl at heart. I love the Vacquero, but Uberti has caught my eye. But whew, that buck a round-
Brass trigger guard and grip frame.
All in all, I have always been impressed with Uberti.
Thanks Morgan
My pleasure. Stay away from the atomic level 45 LC ammo that some companies offer and you will have no issues.@@TheFirearmGuy
I have a 1873 Uberti in 38/357 & I absolutely love that Revolver!!! It was my first Single Action Army and my favorite.
So cool Adam
Same…matches up with my old school lever action in 357. Fun set up
Very cool! I highly recommend reloading .45 Colt. Before I started, I saved my factory ammo brass and purchased the other components over time. All you need is a single stage press, and you’ll be filling an ammo can before you know it. It’s one of the easiest cartridges to hand load.
I guess I'm a single action guy. I have 14 SA's in my collection. Ranging from Heritage 22s to Rugers in 22, 30 Carbine, 357/9mm, 41 Mag, Interarms in 357 and 44 Mag. But my most recent is a Peitta 1873 almost identical to the Uberti in this video only it came with 2 cylinders one in 45LC and one in 45ACP. While not as cheap as 22LR or 9mm, 45ACP is generally cheaper than 45LC. I must say I think at least cosmetically the Uberti is nicer. My Peitta is all blued, no color case and the grips are plastic. It cost me new about the same as the Uberti but to get the 45ACP cylinder, I can change the grips if I want to. I find a day at the range with SA's very relaxing. The pace of shooting is slower and I'm not concerned with defensive skills just plain fun and having SA's that chamber rounds like 22, 38 Spl, 9mm, and 45 ACP, is about the most fun you can have in public.
Good thing about your Pietta is the 4-click action. My Uberti 1873s all have the retracting firing pin/3-click. My 1875 Remington clone Uberti does have the 4-click, though.
I have a Uberti Cattleman that has the 7 1/2 inch barrel with adjustable sights in .357 magnum. I bought it in 1973 for $119.95. I have used it for plinking, hunting and for "old west gunfight recreation shows". It is still my favorite. I also have a single action revolver sold by Virginia Arms that is made by Uberti. It is stainless steel and is in .22 LR/.22magnum.
My son has a a Uberti Cattleman and he loves it. It is very accurate. I have six Ruger revolvers ranging from .22LR to .44 Magnum and five are single actions and I love them. Great video Dan!
Easily becoming one of my favorite revolvers! Great video guys!
Thanks Marc
I have a Uberti 1873 Cattleman in .357 ... yeah these have about a 1.5 lb trigger with the light sear springs you can buy. I got mine for $500 at Cabela's a few years ago. Highly recommended!
I have that same gun with the shorter barrel. Love it!
Very cool man
I'm also a single action only fan. I have a Ruger New Model Vaquero in 45 Colt (7.5 inch barrel - Calvary Model) and a Bond Arms Papa Bear in the same caliber. I've owned several Ubertis in the past and they're nice firearms. I prefer the Ruger Vaquero, especially the New model not only because the newer model is closer in size to the original Colt but also because I can safely carry 6 rounds in it and don't have to cock the hammer to load or unload it. Keep up the good work.
I've got a Cimarron single action revolver in .357 magnum and absolutely love it. It's my hunting handgun for a few reasons but primarily for regulation compliance. In the state of Michigan handguns have to be carried openly in plain site. And with my western style holster that is a great option.
Taurus introduced a SSA replica at shot show. It's chambered in .357 and .45lc It's called the Deputy. It's selling for about $500 on Gun Broker.
I love the old western guns, I think this is the first time I have seen you shoot and old western gun 😁
For nostalgia and historical Reasons I've really been looking at buying a colt navy. That's a beautiful piece also.
Thanks man
I have the 45 colt Cimarron O.M frame in charcoal blue 5.5". It's a shooter and easy on the eyes too!
Too cool Josey
JoseyWalesWi, I have one just like yours that I bought about 25 years ago when Uberti came out with the charcoal blue guns. Picked mine up back in the day at The Shooters Shop in West Allis, as I live just down the road from you in Waukesha.
@mikek8089 They are sweet guns no doubt! Nice to hear from a fellow cheese head!
👍
I have a Ruger Blackhawk convertible revolver on back order since January 20th. The one that I ordered shoots 357 magnum / 38 special one cylinder and 9mm in the other cylinder.
Yo Danno, great to see a real western gun. Thanks Danno. Please say Thanks to the big dude.
Dan, I love the old wheel guns. I have a black powder 1858 Remington reproduction. 44 cal. It has a 7.5 inch barrel and it is a heavy beautiful beast and I love it. My buddy said it won't do nothing.. I told him to ask the 55k plus civil war casualties...oh you can't.. he didn't say another word. It's slower to shoot and reload but it just feels like history.
Hope you had a nice Easter
Let me guess...your buddy, no offense, thinks that a semi-auto is the only effective handheld defense?
Can’t go wrong with Uberti
Love SAA in 45LC.
Classic looking stuff there. I wouldn't mind getting a single action 45 Colt. Thanks for the video.
Thanks Dan, Don’t own a Uberti but do own a couple of Ruger single action revolvers. My Blackhawk in 357 is my favorite gun to shoot.
Great to hear Lance. I would dig that too
Thank you for the review. Love the channel.
I really appreciate that - thank you
Man , that thing looks awesome .
Looks real nice! Am definitely going to check it out!
Great review, ty. Interesting to learn about this Uberti Castleman. Does it come in other calibers? (Not really a LC fanboy.) And $600 sounds good.
357 and 44/40 too I think
Yes, several other calibers
That definitely ain’t no plastic wonder 9, that’s big iron right there 👍
thank you dan thats a beauty
Much appreciated Les
Love y’all. Thank you!
Thanks BD
Beautiful gun. You didn't mention if it was a 4 click or a 3 click model.
Thats great. My wife got scared of the trigger on my 357/38. Meaning of hair trigger. Be careful, next thing you know youll get one and then a lever action to match while on broker and watching silverado.
I have a 1851 Colt Navy London model, looks exactly like this. Cool to see you shooting smokeless
Love that revolver
You looked beautiful on video
As much as I would rather get the 45 colt peacemaker to sit with my 22 peacemaker, I would consider this.
Those are excellent revolvers.
I once had that exact revolver. Had to sell it for something else. But, I really loved that gun, it was so cool. The trigger is just so light. The trigger also is more on the left than center, because Colt was left handed.
Sure really liked the video ! New/different......Thanks
Much appreciated Clay
All of your comments and reviews are very helpful and well done!!!
Michael Herrell
I appreciate that Michael
I have that exact model in 45 LC. I also have a bird's head model 3.5 inch barrel in 45 LC.
Sweet looking sidearm, thanks for sharing
Thanks Bob
nice! Thanks for sharing.
The glock 19 of the wild west.
Nice.. love it.. Thanks for the review..
Thanks 9mil
Really great SA revolvers . I went with Taylor and honestly I think the get their revolvers from Uberta and do a tune up or something but they are a blast of fun literally.
Almost picked up one of these a while back at my local gunshop. Looks great
Thanks Mike
Got that by Cimarron in .357. Love it
Very cool Jason
Glad you covered some another option for handgunners. I'm not an SA revolver guy, even though I AM a revolver guy. I have but one SA revolver...a S&W Performance Center Schofield .45 S&W.
I _do_ like the .45 Colt cartridge, but my 2 .45 Colt revolvers are S&W Model 25s
It's good you give a broad range of coverage!
Thanks, Dan
I really appreciate that Gary
Thats my Bucket list gun.
Very cool Woddy
That single action trigger ruined me for other mush trigger pull.
Beautiful revolver.
Thanks Max
Like the case harden, good looking wheel gun👍 Love all my single actions.👍👍
Love them Ubirti 1873 Cattleman single action revolvers. I got one that holds 12 rounds of 22LR and one that is a six shot chamberd in 45 Colt as well
Good show!
Thanks Buz
I love 45 lone coat but I don't like the price of those bullets
💯👍 thanks!
You bet!
I love that, I’ve had some rugers over the years. Those loads look stout? Thanks
I've got that chambered in 357 Magnum and it's even better. Like Butter! The kinda gun that makes you wanna put a smiley face on a torso target at 60'. Six rounds got the eyes, nose, and mouth. No room for error but errors are not common with one of these. Weeeeeee Doggies!!!
I have a EAA bounty hunter 45colt and love it
That’s a great video! Thanks! I own one myself! It’s a great gun!😊
Great to hear Terry
This is cool af and does not enough love !!!
Agreed Andrew
I had one and sold it. I should have kept it.
I purchased a new cattleman in 44mag way back in 70's. i was not able to get a full box of ammo through it . Timing went out and cylinder would not align with barrel. Looked exactly like yours. Don't recall what I did with it. Also had a nice gun belt for it.
Uberti is the best Cauboy Revolves 👍🏼👍🏼
Sonho de consumo
Gorgeous gun. How does the action feel for the hammer pull?
thanks TAB thanks Tfirearmguy
Any time!
Maravilha
Uma lenda.
Bela arma.
Thanks man
.45 Colt is one of those calibers you really have to reload for unless money just doesn't matter to you. I reload and cast lead bullets and I have a few revolvers in that caliber. I'm interested in a Pietta GW2 and I'm a little leery of what Uberti is doing with their hammer/safety gizmo. If they stop doing that and use the original 4 click hammer, I might be more inclined to get one.
I have a EL PATRON SA in 45 colt 4.5 inch barrel and it also has a very light trigger i would say the trigger is 1 to 1.5 pound pull you have to be careful.
I absolutely love the pistol and i also reload my own ammo for it as a matter of fact i just reloaded 200 rounds of 45 colt on Saturday
Very cool man
Very nice
Thanks MCK
Dam,cool,dan
Thanks David
SEXY!!!! (the revolver), you fellas aint bad either lol
Haha thanks Andrew
45 Colt, there has never been a 45 long Colt, new terminology
Old beauty.
Thanks Woodstock
A nice looking firearm. 😀👍
Thanks Dragon
It is so damn beautiful
Now your talking 👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks Dan
I ended up with a set of 45LC dies and a bunch of brass nothing to use it with. Been torn between a lever or a SAA.
Tough choice Tengu
I recall shooting one of those things. That .45 Colt in a single action army revolver has some serious recoil to it. Watching your muzzle flip reminds me. Haha. But like you said, its accurate. Yes the .45 Colt ammo is expensive. Great for cowboy action match shooting though. I do like the single action army revolvers though. Just give me a .38Spl. instead and I will be happy. Haha. I do have a single action Heritage Rough Rider 4.75 inch small bore .22 rimfire revolver. Thanks for the wheel love.
Wheel love is something that just hits ya inside RBM - Thanks man
@@TheFirearmGuy😎
These are good guns and the Pietta clone has the true 4 click action unlike Uberti. Can even get ‘em in 44/40 which is great for black powder loads.
Great info, thanks man
Nice but I do not understand why shooters like that case hardened look. Blued steel is my fav. They are very accurate. Saw some 61.5 cent colt LC on ammo seek.
5.5 inch barrel is the Artillery model…
Thanks man
I had one in 9mm. I regret selling it.
Bummer Wayne
Like I said in the past, I'm willing to share.i have a couple things you might be interested in.. Just ask, I'll share.
Purdy
Thanks man
See you couldn’t take my criticism of the brass. Adios
She sure is beautiful
First 😎
Thanks bro
@@TheFirearmGuy no problem, I know Mrs. Booty cheeks beat me to it but she doesn’t count 😉
I have a cimmeron 1873 single action,357 (copy) looks just like that.. it's awesome
Yes I'm casting my own also and powder coat also..dam gov.trying to make all reloading shit expensive..
