After an hour of loudly protesting the @sainsburys head office in London, their director of corporate affairs came out to speak with us. I am calling for real transparency for Sainsburys customers. There needs to be accurate labelling at the point of purchase which explains the torture pigs have to endure in CO2 gas chambers. If they are not willing give transparency to their customers, we will force transparency through further investigations. This isn’t just about Sainsburys, we will also be holding other supermarkets accountable who supply pigs who are tortured in CO2 gas chambers. Watch @pignorant_film now on @primevideo (UK/US)

@@subuduba I agree with your comment but have to say , when someone knows about the horrific abuse and violent death, they have full knowledge and continue to participate, i no longer have respect for them and strongly feel they must be held accountable for their actions.
All ethical vegans have a responsibility to inform others about the animal holocaust , if not us then who will ?

I feel there was a seed sown. Every chance that the short clip she watched may be etched on her memory now, Joey was given an opportunity and ran with it. Outstanding work by him and all that attended.
Imagine if she goes vegan now, even if she stays helping them sell the products. Has to have a big impact on at least improving "welfare" standards, even though we know basic rights are what really matter to stop the injustices & suffering.
Nah I feel like she hardly took in that footage at all. I also felt like she seemed brave but on reflection she even said it's kind of literally her job to come out and talk to them.
@@subuduba Welfarism is in direct opposition to animal liberation and abolishment of all animal exploitation. It keeps the industry operating on just more whitewashed lies. She wouldn't be vegan anyway if she still participated directly in selling products like this.

Sainsbury's sell 1000's of products from 1000's of different suppliers. She's basically a PR/marketing spokesperson. Why would she have any clue about how products are made/farmed and how they get to the shelf.

The supermarkets could take a moral stance not to stock these items, rather than a profit stance to keep selling them
@@joshyman221 Sure, the supermarkets would stop to stock animal products if nobody buys them, but they could also stop supplying products of animal abuse, exploitation and murder totally by themselves. Then nobody could buy them, either if all chains did this.

It's so important that big corporations like Sainsbury's are transparent with the truth about how everything on their shelves is produced. Then and only then are customers able to make informed choices.
Being part of the machinery that claims happy cows, jolly hogs, sustainable fishing etc is being an accomplice in violence toward innocent beings and the planet.

She did watch some of the video of the torture, to be fair. She didn't want to watch it at first, though, true.
Maybe she found it horrific too, maybe she's a Vegan who's got a job in corporate affairs and doesn't like certain aspects of her job, we've all been in that type of situation at work and she dealt with it professionally. At the end of the day a single employee, even at that level, is not going to be the sole decision maker in a multi-million pound corporate business. Her future will show you how she followed up on this meeting.

The fact that she is asking "Could you provide me with the names of the Companies so I can look into it?" only shows how ANIMALS are a commodity and as long as they are killed to fulfill the demand NOBODY is interested in the process..
SHE should know the name of those Companies as she is running a Supermarket that fills shelves and shelves with dead meat: if ,God forbid, I was one of her customers I would expect her to know where the products are coming from!
