Been using Phoenicia and Infernus with pathfinder and wand in Sunspear, got into the mindset of building a 3 man team for these events and just using pathfinder if the board is stacked with their colour
Yep and always good to have that constant Red Storm, really helps!

I went with:
Wand of Stars
2x King Heliodor
Ignarion
Elemental class with duststorm active, volcanic banner. I used to use Volcan's Mace with Heliodor but I have had abysmal luck with it recently.
If it works for you then it's good! 🙂
I might suggest giving Ignarion and Garuda gold medals for a bit of extra damage.
I don't Medal troops individually, I do them as a group in relation to whatever Kingdom will get it's next upgrade so I get more overall long term benefit. People struggling for *oomph* might want to do that though! 🙂

I have no idea how I've been playing this game almost every single day since shortly after launch and STILL have NO GARUDA. I'm going with Emberclaw for now, but Tihamata might get swapped in, I dunno yet.

Good day Rob, have you thought about using the new EmberClaw which is not a mythic either?
Yes, it's good, but mainly on the early levels. Overall I preferred the benefits of Garuda, which are many! Emberclaw does create Elemental Stars - which can work for you but sometimes against you. And will work better with two of them in a team which means no space for Maraji Queen, so no quick start, no 4 matches to Doomskulls (while the enemy is entangled etc). Garuda does damage to all, gets more powerful every cast, creates a Firestorm which in turn helps the Pathfinder which in turn helps you win more games in 10 turns or less, especially when things get tougher. Also more 4 matches for that awesome Elementalist Stun, Burn, Freeze, Entangle, more extra turns etc which is super important on the later levels. 🙂

Either I'm incredibly unlucky or just not doing something quite right I just can't get my hands on The Lovers. I've been drooling over Wand of Stars for months and now it's getting unbearable I can't craft it.... I've spent hours grinding gnome vault and used up all my saved event keys after watching this but no joy.... Am I missing something?
Treasure vault. Use your vault keys.
You can only get The Lovers and other Tarot Card troops from the Vault by using your Vault Keys and getting lucky! 🙂
@honestrob Yeah I guess I'll have to another blast through the next gnome event and grind the keys like crazy with my remaining gnome a paloozas (I think I can craft 7 more) and fingers crossed I'll get my hands on it this time... I also did just try crafting vault keys and no love from those either...

You need to get it when you open your Vault Keys! Hopefully you had a good Gnome bashing weekend!
I smashed as many gnomes as possible and did 6 gnome-a-polooza… no such luck. Quite possibly the worst RNG known to man
You get some good runs, and bad runs like this, tends to even out eventually 🙂
what do you suggest if we dont have wand of stars?
A red Doomed weapon like the Doomed Impaler would probably work well.

Courage is a better option for this setup ...in My opinion .
I've lost 1 Mile so far having used all Sigils (and that was when I was trying to get something to happen in a battle for the vid), and has been very reliable when used properly, and maximum miles is the objective. But if Courage is working for you then cool! 🙂
