    My drunk neighbor walked into my house looking for Kyle… the old owner from 4 years prior. About a year ago he sobered up and came over to apologize and thank me for not escalating when it happened. I also learned that day that I have the worst watchdog on the planet. Thanks again for being so authentic. You help me be better❤

      I feel the exact same way . L.D. is such a huge part of me being able to stay sober , especially this time of the year that is very depressing and tough for me. Christmas always makes me sad for the members of my family that are no longer here , and that used to really trigger me to get loaded . 💔😢🙏

    Friend died
    Baby born
    Team won
    Team lost
    Passed a test
    Failed a test
    Car is towed
    Finger is broken
    It's national beer, whiskey or vodka day.
    Taking a flight
    Road trip
    Concert
    Funeral

    New law
    New movie

    I hope this post helps someone... my brother drank to the point of cirrhosis, kept drinking to the point of liver cancer, he had no outward symptoms of the cirrhosis until he already had liver and bile duct cancer, and at that point he had no chance. He did Y90, chemo, immuno therapy... all of the complications LD talks about here happened along with cancer issues. He died last Christmas morning. This past year has sucked for my family, and for the few friends he still had. What greater gift can you give your family, your friends, and yourself for christmas than to stop drinking, what greater gift than to not go through what we have gone through? There are resources out there for you to stop drinking, and also to stay sober.... USE THEM.

    I used to flip cars like buy them and sell them, I would always get super drunk literally as soon as I bought one, than the next day would be to hungover to shine it up and fix any issue… buying something is such a weird reason to drink but I can relate on that. I love to drink but the damage it causes to relationships and my life in general just isn’t worth it anymore. Only slipped up one time in the last 3 months so basically 1 month sober completely. God bless all struggling. Good to see you LD 🙏🏻

    Oh LD , I associate with everything you’re saying ..there was always a reason to drink.. I used to leave people awful abuse on phone and stuff. I used to feel shameful the next day - an excuse to drink again. I always remember that when I’d abstain from alcohol a while..the craving used to give me an almost strange physical excitement to be able to drink again at ANY excuse! When I drank I had a massive.. ego.. which ironically was contrasted by a crippling lack of self worth when sober. Presto.. good excuse to drink again! Oh.. the insanity of it. Take care LD and all those battling with this cruel mental health condition. 🙏🙏🙏 “ Silvo”

    I think I quit 2.5 years ago. The time from my last drink is getting farther and farther and my memories of my craving, nightly drinking, arguments, is fading. Which is a good thing. It's a memory. Almost like...I drank? What did I drink? How much? Really???
    Every bloodwork is improving. All numbers all within range.!
    Doctor doesn't even mention cirrhosis anymore. Idk if is bc its not growing and getting worse. I mean, im sure theres a chart entry saying to monitor my liver numbers and compare scans.

    The most annoying is probably “I’m actually a better (insert responsibility here) when I’m drunk.” A better driver, better at cleaning or cooking, better at doing your job, better at whatever, because it “lets you focus better and shut out the noise.” No, you’re not better at anything when you’re drunk. Grow up, all of us.

      The pandemic PROMOTED alcohol...While stopping ALL Socialization- a human Need for survival! Evil Incarnate. Just my opinion but it was a False Government shutdown Experiment of people's lives, livelihood etc, making them So Fearful and Dependent upon the Government. Gov't Trial Mission Accomplished just like Hitlers Germany... While mothers gave birth without the father being allowed to be with and support her...while people were at End of Life Died All Alone in hospital with Family being unable to visit... Wrong on Every Level.
      I work for Public Health and Never agreed with this. I nearly lost my job for choosing to Not get the Covid vaccine or boosters. Lab Director thought those of us unvaxxed should be Fired!

      @kathrynminnick8986 12 дней назад +1

      @@truthseeker6370 Likening the U.S. pandemic response to Hitler's Germany (i.e., Nazi Germany) is quite extreme, especially given that many policies (e..g., about mask mandates, lockdowns, school closures, etc.) in the U.S. were made at the state, county or municipal level and were quite different from place to place. Note the difference, for example, between Florida and California; and within California itself there were differences from county to county. I don't think every policy response in every locale was ideal especially with the advantage of hindsight, but I think it is extreme to view the covid response as a coordinated, evil, purposeful government plot.

    Yes, I can totally relate to making all sorts of excuses to drink! Good day, bad day, my birthday, it didn't matter! Also, being socially anxious made it difficult for me to share my real feeling when I was sober, and I would have to drink to muster up the courage to speak my mind. Usually, because I was so intoxicated, it didn't end well and I ended up coming across like a total a-hole. I definitely did the whole drunk dialing thing and I'd start arguments with people for no reason, and with the people I cared about the most, too! That behavior cost me a few romantic relationships in the past. I never confronted ex-girlfriends at their homes or anything like that, but I sabotaged perfectly good relationships with amazing women because I just couldn't stop drinking and making a fool of myself! Good message today, brother! ❤Are you going live again before the end of the year?

    I think as a control of me stop drinking why does it not work, strange like the subconscious overrules human conscious decisions. What is going on with that

    Since quitting beer I’m hungry all the time

    • @TheFinishStrongerProject
      @TheFinishStrongerProject 11 дней назад +2

      It’s a thing. Find healthy options to fill your belly. Beer has a lot of calories and your body is used to that. (This is my specialty lol). Zero calorie sodas, air popped popcorn, broths and teas, anything high in volume and low in calories. It’s going to take awhile for your hunger system (leptin resistance) to figure things out but, it will eventually subside. But wow it’s snacky in the interim! We got this!

    I think a ton of people drink for all these reasons, but you drank yourself into oblivion on a whole other level. Were you depressed? I have a sister that drinks until she passes out, and she once said that she does that because she wants to pass out to escape her life. Did you do the same?

      I'm sorry to hear that and yes, I drank for many different reasons and being depressed was one of them. The drinking led to more depression and the cycle continued. God bless😊
