    ok well so much for sharing why you changed the purge valve? what was the uplanders symptoms

    • @cellgame100
      @cellgame100  3 года назад +4

      The symptoms were rough idle and sometimes it would even stall. Our van had many problems but when I changed the purge solenoid valve it cleared up the rough idle and stalling issues and runs good now. We got almost everything fixed on this van and it is probably our best vehicle now.

      @@cellgame100 yeah I love the uplander hella roomie runs great when it runs but I had the fuel pump go out and not seems like it's gone out again?? so when I saw this I was wondering if it keeps the gas from building up pressure because when I went to check the express valve no gas shot out after we had turned the key a few times but from cold first start it will run for like two seconds then nothing that's when I checked the fuel pressure port valve and saw no gas come out when expressed so IDK what it is and its gonna be a shame after already spending $2000 on this van to let it go for $600 because I cant find out what silly issue its having I need a code reader I was gonna hit up harbor freight you can get a code reader for $30 any suggestions?

    Hello I'm like you trying to figure out what is wrong with my 2007 uplander

    I just cleaned out the throttle body and now it shows the oxygen sensor! What can you suggest to look at?

    • @cellgame100
      @cellgame100  5 лет назад +1

      I would clear the code if you can and see if it goes away because it is common to happen and if it comes back try to find out witch sensor or just do both they are on the exhaust system. Check this link ( www.2carpros.com/questions/2006-chevrolet-uplander-oxygen-sensor-located-behind-catalytic-converter-that ) and hopefully this will help point you in the right direction. One of the sucky things of older car is when you fix one thing it stresses the next thing until you get to the end. These are really good vans and to me worth the effort. Hope this is helpful and good luck to you my friend.

    What is that purge valve does..?

    • @cellgame100
      @cellgame100  5 лет назад

      "The purge valve is the part of the vehicle
      Evaporative Emission Control (EVAP) system. The EVAP system prevents
      fuel vapors in the fuel tank from escaping into the atmosphere. ... In
      modern cars, the purge valve is an electrically-operated solenoid, that is controlled by the engine computer." I got the info form this website. www.samarins.com/glossary/purge-valve.html

      I have a 2007 Uplander and when i filled all the way up ..i smell gas when is parked..? After like a day driving smell stops..! I may need the valve..? I do not see any codes in the dashboard..

    • @metrork1
      @metrork1 5 лет назад +1

      @@arriagada1957 Never good to top off the gas tank. Raw gas may end up where there should only be vapor in the line leading to the EGR valve. That is why you smell gas after your fill-up. Over filling the gas tank is a definite no no.
