However, the plaintiff says he found out the defendant was married, and she never paid him back, so the plaintiff is suing. The defendant claims she met the plaintiff on a website where men pay women for companionship, but the plaintiff couldn’t handle that type of arrangement and became aggressive.

Exactly right. And just like the judge said, if there are questions that she has about the testimony, she's going to ask them, and he has to answer them. He made a choice to come on the show and file the lawsuit. It would be no different in regular court, and it would also be a public record. The people's court didn't have to air this episode, so it wouldn't necessarily be of any kind of public record. But in regular court, it would be, perhaps forever.

In fact, I have come to learn that just about all children have this perfect insight until it is corrupted by the pressures of the world.
Besides God, my daughter has been my greatest teacher. She has taught me patience, empathy, perseverance, loyalty, and the most important thing in life.
