Armour Knights are my favourite class of all Disgaea so I'm happy you could give some pointers for them for Disgaea 5. I approve of your defencive setup cuz goddamn taking those girls down can be quite a hassle, especially lategame/endgame in Story mode.
The canon Disgaea story for the armour Knights is that; between Disgaea 4 and Disgaea D2 the Armour knight class popularity with male graduates fell and the female graduates increased. Which is why there are now more female armour knights than Male.
Even though NIS delayed Disgaea 5 on PC again... I will wait and watch videos like this in the meantime. Been a while since a class guide has been released, I enjoy these.
Good question. The Sage gets used the most because she's easily the most useful in the post game, but design wise? I think the Maid looks great and has really interesting mechanics. I actually use story and DLC characters mostly.
Voxel Star I like the twin dragon and the maid most. The sage is very overpowered an i use her too but she is way too strong. And her design is not so unique
Hey this guide is great! I'm trying to learn this game and it's so much to learn that it's insane! Just wanted to add that you pronounced "noblesse" properly. However the expression is French so "oblige" would phonetically be pronounced like "obleej" The expression is a historical one in French of course, it means what it sounds like "the nobility obliges" or "the nobility is obliged" What does that mean though? Well it means that as a member of the nobility you have an obligation to the people you rule over and their interests, not just your own. Which is why the name is so appropriate! It's just one of my favorite historical expressions. Ik it's unlikely you see the comment but just know your work is appreciated!
Hehe I'll name my Armor Knight "Albedo" (Overlord anime) thanks for the class guides dood! I'm trying to decide between AK or MK and you really helped me out, keep up the good vids man. sub!
@@vDorgengoa Yeah I agree. I think that really goes without saying that any unit you make can be OP, though I have a different reason for trying to decide between them back then. AK compliments my LS coz of her defensive capabilities more than MK. I have MK and AK now.
@@rainingoogle4362 Nice! TBH I love the AK more solely because of design. I am more than happy to share my badass design lol.... if you want to hear it.
@@vDorgengoa yes! I couldn't agree more! specially when AK is performing the hero shield haha I just can't skip that animation 😂 Yeah man go for it, I enjoy learning other people's badass design
It should be noted that Galahad's Shield also works based off of the user's DEF instead of ATK, making it hit surprisingly hard! I also like to give my Armor Knight the Enemy Lure evility, since she'll only be able to take the hits for 3 other characters. If most of the enemies target her in the first place, that limit doesn't come into play!
How do you unlock all these evilties for use? For example, the "Attack Weakness" listed for the Magic Knight is the rank 6 evilty of the Dragon King/Ifrit. How do you acquire it for your Magic Knight? Does it become available to buy in the shop after you reach rank 6? I know that the unique evilties are acquired by mastering a specific class as a sub class, but no one seems to be talking about how to get the common ones :P
I'm a bit thorn on Armor Knights. While they are very useful on Late Game even without any training due to how good her unique Evility is, and how you can give anyone massive ammounts of HP with Elixir Curry, using them in combat is not that interesting. They're very slow and the only good thing they can use is the Galahad Shield, which is a low ranged single target attack, limiting her options even more. Magic Knights on the other hand needs a lot of training and elemental resistances Innocent management. They are so good at dealing damage to basically any type of enemy and aren't bound to positioning or number of targets to do so. Her Star resistance is a bit more annoying to increase, but other than that they are a good addition to any team, even on a sword heavy one, as sword resistance is usually not a threat to her. They're pretty fun to use in my opinion.
If you want to play that way. My Armored Knight blocks when she is attacked from the front or sides and fires on every enemy afterwards with her Gun (with a +2 range..... more if its a carnage one). At one point she was a healer with a Spear setup. Then she was a mage capable of blasting from 10 spaces away. Almost always my other character carries Body Replacement to up the blocks on my Knight. Keep in mind that nearly any unit can use any weapon, gain massive boosts to every parameter, and obtain every generic evility. (and magichange). My Armored Knight could solo every enemy except for Baal. (I don't think it's possible......).
Jacob Epstein Mhm, cuz even though I know my way around Disgaea, there's always interesting setups other people can recommend someone even to a veteran like myself
Progress the story, once your at the right part the quest shop will grant you the use of them at the recruiter once you fulfill the requirements of the quest
Im not sure you are aware of it, but by putting a link to your twitch channel at the description Google reduces the visibility of your RUclips channel within the website. Its sad but true, as both Google and Twich fight for ads venue from the very same companies.
Ok, funny story (no one asked so idk why im still talking) I had a lot of shards and I decided to use them. @@brianlav1 Well in Disgaea 2 the Magic Knight was the most powerful magic using class by far (while using less sp than the weaker male Mage), I'm not sure if she's still as broken as she used to be.

@@brianlav1 Yes, in Disgaea 1 she was the most useless human class (as weak as a thief but without steal bonus), in Disgaea 2 the most powerful, it equaled out I guess.
I agree they could have easily toned down her defensive power to at least have a range limit and not ridiculously teleport across the map to block attacks. Then on top of that she has an ability of absurd damage and puts her into defend. For each point they improve on they drop the ball on something else.
@@jasonvernish7366 And aside from being the best damage dealer, debufing enemies elemental resistance for her allies elemental special attacks also made her the best debuff support, I'll repeat the claim that she was quite broken.
You pronounced "noblesse oblige" correct the first time. For anyone curious a quick translation would be "noble obligation" or "obligation of nobles/nobility" it is a bougie concept that the wealthy and powerful have are obliged to be generous and respectful to the lower classes. Whether any of the bourgeoisie actually follow this ideal I'll leave to your interpretation.

heheh nicely done, I like it 👍

Got more Disgaea stuff planned as well as some other things too.

Man they nerfed magic knights hard since disgaia 2 when they could cast a magic after attacking and buff/reduce element resists
In Disgaea 2 they were just broken, far too powerful when compared to other magic users, so it seems fair to nerf them a little.
