You put your tensioner shoe on backwards. The cutout on the shoe should go to the front. This keeps the shoe from contacting the front mounting bolt during movement.

​@@InfamousCreepin some cases people who have had problems with the Hayden tensioner breaking had installed it backward. I have run the Hayden on my m8 Road King Special and previous bike (twin cam) without any issues.
