Thanks for the video. You kept it simple enough and just enough detail. I hate videos where people take way too long and talk about way too much stuff that we don't need to hear. Just got done installing my star racing compensator ramp and trash power plate on my clutch.
@@InfamousCreep I'm getting a ringing noise now only between 50 and 60 mph. It doesn't change if the idle increases or decreases. Nor does it change if the clutch is pulled in. I didn't notice it the first time I rode the bike after the install but I did last night. Any idea what that might be? I torqued everything to spec and added the recommended amount of primary fluid. The one thing I did notice with the amount of fluid was that the fluid was still not up to the line shown on the diagram. But i definitely didn't use the correct amount of fluid per the owner manual
You put your tensioner shoe on backwards. The cutout on the shoe should go to the front. This keeps the shoe from contacting the front mounting bolt during movement.
@@InfamousCreepin some cases people who have had problems with the Hayden tensioner breaking had installed it backward. I have run the Hayden on my m8 Road King Special and previous bike (twin cam) without any issues.
Out of all the Videos on RUclips, no one ever says WHY they need a new comp???? If I am correct, a bent crank is often the causes of problem’s with them.
I actually have a whole video on why the comp should be replaced, the ramp is known to fail. It’s common knowledge in the Facebook group, my reasoning for swapping it is to avoid the costly repairs on the road. 1 the toe truck will easily cost over $300 bucks depending on where you bike breakdown, 2 you’ll need new parts anyways, why not just buy better quality parts, and 3 labor/ cleaning of parts after the OEM comp explodes
