I just finished watching Cargo on Netflix, and I have to say, it was an intense ride! The way they portrayed the struggles of survival and the emotional depth of the characters really struck a chord with me. The atmosphere was haunting, and the cinematography was stunning. A unique take on the zombie genre that kept me on the edge of my seat. Highly recommend it!
Mads Mikkelsen was absolutely fantastic in Polar! Great news-there’s a sequel in the works called The Black Kaiser. Mikkelsen is set to reprise his role as Duncan Vizla, with the story diving deeper into his character’s past and a deadly conspiracy. Filming is reportedly starting soon, so it’s definitely something to look forward to. Thanks for mentioning it! 😊
Thanks for highlighting “The Boy Who Harnassed the Wind”. There is a HUgE audience out here wanting to see more multicultural and international picks, both films and series. We are yearning to LEARN about one another. Sadly, we’re about to enter 2025 and still it seems that 9 out of 10 films (and higher than that with respect to series) focus almost exclusively on the lives/experiences of white folks, and if the screen is graced by anyone with a little “spice” they are almost exclusively just set decoration. Please find and showcase the good stuff that exists and reflects the lives of people who aren’t exclusively from European based cultures, we will watch, and we’ll push the powers that be to take note and produce more.
