    I combined stage1 with EGR software delete, and indeed it is funny to keep up with many other cars 😎. Fuel consumption depends on how much power you take, between 1L:26km (80km max. relaxed driving) and 1L:20km (many accelerations and speeding). Seat Ibiza ST 1.2TDI.

    That makes me wonder about the factory power figures,
    could it be they consider that number as a hot engine in less then ideal atmospheric conditions?
    As seeing your stock map numbers it seems plausible being as they noticed it is common across the groups engines

    • @AutoAddictionMedia

    Seems this doenst fix the real problem, no power below 2000rpm. 900- 100km in fifth on my st makes the car buzz and vibrate.
    Anything to tune the turbo to come on earlier? Dont care about the higher power numbers really

    • @veeerzes
      @veeerzes 3 года назад +1

      The engine is too small to spool up the turbo earlier. You could fit an even smaller turbo, but that would make it lose power in higher rpm ranges

    Voor een accurate meting kon je beter de 2 metingen op hetzelfde stuk asfalt doen. Maar goed, hiermee zie je ook duidelijk dat ie vlotter is geworden.

    • @AutoAddictionMedia
      @AutoAddictionMedia  2 года назад

      Dat is bij het gebruik van een Dragy niet relevant. De Dragy houd namelijk ook rekening met een eventuele helling. In beide tests is te zien dat er geen sprake is van een helling (bergop of bergaf)

    • @ThenameisOskar
      @ThenameisOskar 2 года назад

      @@AutoAddictionMedia Dat is zeker wel relevant. Het is simpelweg een betere vergelijking als je het op dezelfde weg vergelijkt, vooral als je op het dezelfde dag onder dezelfde (droge) omstandigheden de metingen uitvoerd.
      Zo heb ik vaak zat 50-120km/h gemeten met mijn eigen auto. Overal bijna 0,00% slope en toch deed ie er op dag 1 7 seconden over en een week erna deed ie er bijna 8 seconden over. Dit was nochtans precies op dezelfde locatie, met dezelfde hellingspercentage.
      Buiten temperatuur en wind kunnen best een verschil maken, vooral als je 100-200kmh zou meten.

    Did you deliberately choose no power increase below 2200 rpm ? I use mine everyday 45 mins on highway 90 to 135 kph. But thats 1500rpm to 2200 rpm. So this engine tune does not help much. How come your 20% gain is not available from 1400 rpm and up ? That would be very usefull for anyone on the highway that has to slow down for trucks and accelerate back to cruising speed again. If you can make the car stronger in the 90 to 150 kph speed range that is helpful for most people.

    • @ThenameisOskar
      @ThenameisOskar 3 года назад

      That doesnt work for cars with manual gearbox. It would make the clutch suffer alot. It does work for cars with an automatic gearbox, with a torque convertor.

      @@ThenameisOskar wifey had a 1.6tdi Fabia 104hp. We did a full emission delete to unblock the filters and remove the egr. Then remap. With unblocked filters (cat dpf) hollowed out the turbo spools up about 400rpm lower. So i asked the tuner engineer to focus on low down punch. From 1400 rpm there was good turbo boost pressure. We maxed out what we could. 104hp became 152hp. And 184 lbs torque became 240lbs. The performance was much better. And the fuel economy transformed. On the highway at 65 to 70 mph we used to get 75 to 80 mpg. After tunning over 100 mpg. I never got a chance to test the top speed.
      There was no trouble with the clutch. But there are upgraded clutches available if needed. So next time it needs replacing i would use a stronger clutch. But we upgraded to a much higher spec Octavia 1.6tdi SEL. So i dont know about longterm. The fabia clutch lasted 20,000 miles after tunning and was still ok when we traded in.

    • @AutoAddictionMedia
      @AutoAddictionMedia  2 года назад +1

      The turbo doesn't spool up faster. There is nothing to gain in the lower rpm's. It's not something you can "choose" on these type of engines. A smaller turbo would increase power at lower rpm's, but it would have far less power in the upper rpm range

    • @hungrysurfer9471
      @hungrysurfer9471 2 года назад

      @@AutoAddictionMedia ok but your car has blocked up filters. If you do both remap and full unblocking of everything in the exhaust system (cat dpf egr) including ditching the blue device, then ask your tunner to max out the low and mid revs boost, thats when you gain the extra benifit of spooling the turbo 400 rpm lower with much faster responce. All these 4 items must be unblocked to make engine breath more air flow. It helps a lot in top gear on the highway. Fuel consumption is much less.
