Kev Thompson If you are the one you say you are then you sir made my childhood memories the best thing ever. I use this thing as a ringtone since I found out how to change ringtones
I miss my childhood and life. Now life is stressful. This music brings back to my happiness. Ps1 and Ps2 are my favorite games consoles of all time. Metal gear solid. Final fantasy. Spyro, tekken, crash, tomb raider, silent Hill, resident evil, and many others.
I Scubadived in the Adriatic Sea this week, and all of a sudden I could hear myself humming this theme, while I was underwater, quite a Nostalgia Shock really!
Imagine having some of the best games on the ps1 on one disc. Gran Turismo, spyro, crash 3, medievil and tekken 3. Also enjoyed the rarer games like kula world. Man this demo disc is the best one of the lot
1:36 The build-up of the selections getting closer together, the whistle rising in pitch, the screen getting darker, the suspense......... BAOWW!!!, the explosion of Dualshock. That's a moment in gaming yet to be matched.
Omfg this music. I remember this back from 1998 - I went to my friends house to a sleepover and we actually put clock to wake us up at 04:00 in the morning so we had more time to smash Tekken 3 DEMO the next day. Crazy times and I miss them!
so many good times, first got me introduced to the Tekken series, from which there on I became a big fan of, remember me and my best friend playing the prison level in Tomb Raider during the summer vacation, each day getting a little bit further, memorizing all the traps etc oh and Tombi lol, hitting pigs with a mace
I actually feel like crying... I was like 5 and I'm now 22! this was my childhood every single day... even though I already had games... I kept coming back to this. Time is precious!
The memories, the memories... Just reading some comments here and I can feel the nostalgia. Those were the late 90s gaming where all your friends would come to your house or you would go to theirs and just play and pass the controller when you die in the game. Really really brings back so many beautiful moments
That thing was so mind blowing to me back then. It might not have been that high quality, but seeing live video playing on a console was wild to someone who just got from mega drive/genesis.
There we go! So Demo 1 was apperantly the main source of PS1 demo memories that I had as a kid. This demo in particular is one that I ended up playing the most, thanks to Kula world, Medievil & Tombi. The other Demo one disc I remember having was a demo disk that contained Oddworld, Hercules, Rapid racer, Overboard & Kurushi. That & I also had some kind of disk that contained a fuckton of those "Net yaroze" made games. It's definetly one of the more bizarre gaming experiences I've ever had, but it was propably the house's most played demo disk. Amoung all of these rather simple & weird games, there was one that I've actually seen make it as a stand-alone game: Devil dice. That game was friggin fantastic to play when I did as a kid. I wonder if it holds up nowadays.
I remember this is the demo with the MGS video where he puts so many C4 he makes a huge explosion chain at the end, I always tried to recreate that in the original game but there was a limit of how many C4 you could stick to the walls so after a while the C4 just started exploding one at a time as soon I started sticking more to the walls
Ok, this was a bit of a nostalgia blast to hear this again after so long. I used to play this disc back in daycare 21 years ago when I was 4 years old. A lot of my first video game experiences revolve around this disc, mainly the demos of Spyro, Medievil and Kula World.
I remember when I was still a kid, my parents gave me a PS1(my very first console ever) in the Christmas and in that time I tough games were already inside the PS1. Guess I was wrong and so I played all demos in that CD, since it was the only thing I had to play in that month xD But even with only that I was really happy :)
I remember doing a very cool trick with 2 different demo discs that had Medievil : When Medievil was selected, i replaced the current demo disc with another containing the same version of the game. There was enough memory left after the disc-swaping (the menu was there, but the image completly corrupted) i pressed the X button, it loaded the game. The game ran very well, i decided to exit the demo of Medievil, and it propely put me in the demo menu of the second demo disc. Disc-swaping would have been very cool concept to see it being used, like if Banjo-Kazooie had a disc version.
This was the demo disc that came with my and my brother's Playstation back in the day. It looks so simple now, but back in the day this was magic made real.
I still own my copy of the demo. It still plays. This music never fails to bring me close to some kind of tears, purely because of the memories associated. My brother, the living room floor, and extremely boxy 4:3 TV. Life was so wonderfully simple.
The feels.
The worst thing is you can't die from them
no matter how you wish to
@Joederbo I still think sounds perfect like this.
This was the start of everything.. this overwhelming feeling of nostalgia hits me so hard right now

And then in came ff VII and blew everyone's minds with it's live action cutscenes, and the rest as they say is history! 😲😄
Yeah its not videos games but nostalgia to be kid again... peace to everyone.

I always went on random ones and pressing reset until it was Kula World, I couldn't understand the writing then !
Haha yes! I did play it though but was so scared. I remember my heart racing.
i can't handle it! the memories ! first contact with video games i had!
Oh god, I remember playing the Spyro demo countless times as a kid. Spyro is basically the reason why I love games and dragons
Back in the day when we were playing that trippy game with the ball called Kula and werent depressed.
Fun fact: Kula means "the ball" in polish :P
@@garrow6 yeah if i didnt have a brain that would've been hard to figure out
I'm literally crying. My nostalgia, childhood...
Oh wow, damn! That sound unlocked my memories.
AHh the good old days. When I could find replay value in even a 10 minute side-action scroller demo. Simpler times, man!!

i remember the spice girls in this demo
I do remember Shakira whenever... I don't know why
That thing was so mind blowing to me back then.
It might not have been that high quality, but seeing live video playing on a console was wild to someone who just got from mega drive/genesis.

I must have completed every one of these demos over 20 times as a 10 year old. Including the ones for games I actually owned.
Ta muzyczka przywołuje wspomnienia :)
Years after, I always have this music in my head.
The origin of it all....the beginning.....nostalgia at its most grand.

this song song has been stuck for 25 years in my head. Now in 2022 I hear it for the first time after all those years.

Tekken with only Eddy or Xiaoyu. The beginning.
