I grew up eating a delicious variety of food. I'm adopted. I'm 100 % by birth. My birth mom was 100% polish and my birth dad is Italian. We had lots of Polish and Italian foods while growing up. Today, I reach back into my history and make Italian/hot sausage sandwiches pretty much the same way my mom used to make. This brings back great memories for me!
The Sanders Kitchen - Great cooking videos and makers of that great LA hot sauce!

Thank you for watching. I appreciate you all. If you take nothing more out of my videos, know that I am a sinner saved by the grace of our beautiful Lord Jesus Christ!
If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:9 - Хобби
Was rewatching and noticed that you're Adopted, My Mom was adopted, and My Step Dad Adopted me, It's Nice to hear that kind of a thing from people, that are famous, we can point it out to kids that feel bad about it, like they weren't wanted. That's why Dave Thomas has always been a hero of mine, and he was another man that made his name on a Flat top griddle. God Bless you, Brother, and Thanks again for the Vid!
I love sausage and pepper sandwiches. You can basically do it with any sausage. It's basically a Philly cheese steak with sausage soooooo good. Were having this tonight.
this is very true I'm from Western Pennsylvania and I remember going to the sharpsville fair and getting the Italian sausage off The griddle and other fares along the way that were in Pennsylvania very very true as a Pennsylvania remember Pennsylvania has a lot of Italian heritage here so it's popular with the Italian sausage and peppers
I'm watching this at seven in the morning and would eat one right now!
Hi Michael - I'm glad it made you hungry!
I had these for the first time when I lived in the Pittsburgh area and even though we moved back to Denver these are still a staple at our house.
Can’t wait to try this
Nice!! Those sausages were HUGE, Sam's Club, you say??? Might be worth the drive!!! Thanks Todd!!!!!!!!
I used that pepper sauce today!!! it (banana peppers) great on sandwiches.
Made my Sunday morning.....ALWAYS enjoyable - not to mention educational.
Hi JJ. I really appreciate you watching!
Awesome cook... love a nice Italian sausage sandwich!!! Let the whole neighborhood smell the goodness!!
Ok, I’ve made these twice and we love them. Added to the menu. Thanks.
I was looking for recipe ideas for my sweet Italian peppers and you popped up. Thanks for being you. Stay amazing Todd
looks like the way we do them here in western ny ! soooooo good !
I love hot sausage sandwiches. We r from Pittsburgh and those sandwiches look like what we do almost every couple weeks. Lol just got a black stone and I’m loving it. Loving your videos it really helps a beginner like me. God bless🙏
Love these sausage sandwiches!!!! Got hooked on them growing up in western PA at the Jamestown Fair every September!!!! Great video!!!
I never thought to put peperoncini juice in my sauce…I think I’m going to try that…we just bought a black stone grill…I love it…I’m from Springfield Massachusetts…we cook on our grill all year round…
I just bought the 28" pro series. Can't wait to make some great meals with it. Your videos give me some great ideas, thanks for making me hungry now.
From South Jersey now in Virginia. Look wonderful. Lots of memories. Going to make this tomorrow!!!
Awesome sandwiches, love the trick with the peperoncino juice . Will definitely try on my next Italian sausage cook. Thanks for the great videos.
I made these for my husband who is from upstate New York (Elmira) and he said they were the best he has ever had! Now that is saying something since he grew up eating them too!! Thanks so much!!
Hi, Barbie. You are so kind. Thank you for watching & thank you for trying out the recipe. Tell your husband hello. Have a great weekend!
Thanks for the recipe I'm a do this next time I grill for the family Lord willing
Todd definitely knows his sausage 🤣. Love what you do Todd
Looks great. I’m also from PA and know exactly what you’re talking about with the fairs and carnivals. I like to put oregano on veggies because that’s what was always put on them. Add mustard and all set!
I'm from southwest PA. Your hot sausage sandwiches look fantastic!
Richard! Thank you so much for watching. I appreciate it! Have a great weekend :)
I absolutely love italian sausage. Gosh, I have never heard of Blackstone until about a month ago, didn't know they made ones for outdoors too. I am hopeful to get the new e series one in a few months. Thanks, love those sandwiches.... Claudia
Love that sandwich looks awesome and now I’m hungry again great video - awesome tips
This looked so good having it tonight for dinner. I be using the hot Italian sausage instead of the, sweet, mild or medium; however it won't be on a Blackstone griddle (still have not been able to buy one yet it is on my want list) but in my cast iron pan, it will still serve a similar function as a griddle. I kind of latinize it as I use tortilla as the bun. That comes about because that is what I have on hand I use tortillas a lot and they are more stable for storage than bread. Use them with hotdogs, sausage, as well as one of my favorite crunch wrap fried double, thick slices of bologna (can substitute cotto salmi, ham, turkey or all them together) melted cheese (vary the cheese) onions, mustard, horseradish, and dill pickle sandwich slices. You can add a couple strips of bacon 🥓 in the crunch wrap. The options are only limited by the imagination. Got of the orginal subject for a moment. Food discussion causes my creativity to flow like a rushing stream of possibilities.
Funny, I just showed my wife CJ’s technique that he learned from Nate and now you show us something much faster/simpler. Lol. I can’t keep up with you all. Thanks for the tip, used it last night.
A local pit bbq guy here in eastern PA uses a bbq sauce on his sausage sandwiches. I grew up putting a marinara type sauce on them. The bbq doesn’t disappoint.
This is where it's at. 👆
dope !!! thanks buddy .. woke up craving for it today bout to do a few for my family.
Hanna did a fantastic job filming this video... Sign her up...
What did you use to film this video Hanna?
Amazing! I get down on cooking. But you keep teaching me some more. 😁 Thank you for all your great content

Been watching your channel for awhile now. Love your cooking. You said you were from northwestern PA. I live in Armstrong County in PA.
Great state. Good to know you.

Hi Todd Toven, I live in Colorado too ... city/county of Denver, CO ... I gotta get out of here, looking 90 mins north - Wyoming! Thanks for the great vids!
Love this. So simple but delicious.
Indeed. Thanks for watching!
I don't like spicy but I'm the older generation and from canada.........but you give me great ideas and I am going to do this just with sweet Italian sausages, thank you !
Originally from Philly, now in York and I can still get Amarosa rolls luckily
Those look great
Hey! Love the Louisiana shoutout! Great vid & definitely gonna try this recipe out.
I always loved either county fair or fireman’s carnivals for the carne sausages
YES!!!!!! 100% - MEMORIES! Thanks for watching :)
Brings back some memories...ummmmm.
Dang! Looks delicious.
Hello from Erie,Pa area!!
They're great plain. The tomato sauce adds some flavor, but ketchup? Only if you're desperate for some tomato flavor. Of course, you can just add roma tomato slices to the peppers and onions while you're cooking them.
I made these yesterday, they were great!!
Wow. Thanks, Jason!
Boy, that looks great! Ill have to check out my Sam's club here in Knoxville for those Sausages. Another great job, Todd!
Hi Todd it's been a long time. I've had 2 heart attacks and 3 strokes. Good to see you again
I bet I could eat 4 right now...
You had me at that marinara sauce, the water steaming melting cheese. But then again you had me the whole video.
Thanks, Manuel!!!!!!!!!!!! I appreciate you watching!
Good Lord that looks fantastic. I'm going to make these tonight on my Blackstone, but darn, I don't have any of that maranara sauce though as I've never tried it. I LOVE your videos and your whole personality brother!!!!!!
You are so kind. I appreciate the comment! Stay tuned for more & God bless you!
this is effing amazing
Little thing I thought I'd toss out, to ya Todd, I've got some steel skewers, I run them through my sausages, keeps them straight, more even cooking, fits the bun better too. Curling on live fire is fine, still cooks fairly evenly, but on a flat top, straight works for me. and I prefer natural casings, which are born to curl.
Great tip. Thanks!
Great video and I'm curious where did you get that long cutting board you displayed those wonderful food delights
Awesome
Thanks, Rudy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Todd ! Now, I’m jonesing for Italian sausage sandwiches 😡
Just got my 36 inch blackstone with air fryer today upgrading from the standard 36 inch can’t wait to get it seasoned up and ready to rock !!! Love your videos Todd keep it up brother 😎👍🏻🇺🇸
Wow. Congrats on your new Blackstone! I really appreciate you watching. I hope you have a blessed weekend!!

Thank you for watching. Enjoy!
Hi how's it going? Hope all is well. That looks delicious. 👍👍
Great job buddy now guess what’s up my next barbecue at the house ha ha keep up the hard work 👍🏻👍🏻
Hey quick question for you buddy. Those oil bottles your using in this video are those leak proof if they tip over like the square ones?
Ellensburg Rodeo?! I’m using my Blackstone in eburg now cuz of your recipes!
See, Sara. I meet each viewer where they're at!!!!! Back in the day, I had lots of product sponsors before I was blessed to work full time with Blackstone. Tim's Chips were one of my sponsors and they did lots of things in conjunction with the Ellensburg Rodeo. One of my contacts there sent me the hoodie! I really appreciate you watching!!!!!!
From NY and I live in Colorado now. you should check out beelers brand as well.
Todd do you know if blackstone will sell the 36inch closable hood separately this year...really don't wanna buy another griddle
Shout out for that eburg shirt!
Thank YOU for watching!
Looks amazing! What brand of sauce did you get ?
YUM!!!!
Todd you missed the chance to put some of that Garlic Pepper Sauce on the one without sauce. Beats ketchup and mustard. BTW totally agree about boiled sausage. First time I tried grilled kielbasa I thought I was on another planet. Great job!
Hi Steve - I did, but I did it off camera, apparently!!! I'm such a fool :) The Garlic is sooooooo good! Thanks for watching.
which model griddle are you using? i can not find it on the website
Northwest pa nice! I'm from north east Ohio, Ashtabula if you know where that is. I know all about the mustard and ketchup
Hi Ryan - Yeah, I grew up in Erie County, PA before moving to Colorado in 1998. I appreciate you watching. God bless!
EXCELLENT Video...
Thank you for sharing this... I'm in New Mexico and have never had this kind of hot dog... but I think it would go well on my Food Truck...
Question:
What kind of camera equipment are you using to film this?
Your video is super clear! Excellent filming and editing.
Damn, Todd...It's 9:00 in the morning and now I want an Italian sausage sub!!!
Hi Mike - I'm glad it made you hungry. Thanks for watching!
Dude, you are finding ways for me to spend my bonus check! LOL I want that cart and the portable one too!
Thanks for watching. Did you end up buying griddle? God bless!
@@praisehisawesomename I got the portable table setup on Saturday and used it already. A bit clunky to set up only because the one table flops around when trying to flip it over, but will get the hang of it. Need to raise it up a few inches for me and my lousy back, but will find it to be VERY handy when camping! The other not so portable table is also on my list.
Now I am wishing I got the Blackstone griddle instead of the Camp Chef, The grease channel and tray is a PITA.
Way to represent Ellensburg!
I’m new to your channel. I’m loving your show brother!!! Very entertaining and informative. Looking forward to getting to know your style of cooking. 😊
Hi Jeff! I really appreciate you watching & subscribing!!! Please also subscribe at RUclips.com/BlackstoneGriddles as my weekly Let's Give It A Try show there is my main focus!!! Thanks again!
@@praisehisawesomename Awesome! I will do that right now.
WOWZERS!!!!
Thanks Jeanette!
Yummy!

TODD U SURE LIKE TO LOAD UP THE SEASONING, and i mean LOAD LOL
Lol. You know what's funny? I get TONS of "You didn't season those enough" comments too. Yikes! Thanks for watching!
What kind of marinara sauce did you say that was?
Todd I’m also from north western Pa. Clarion- 2 hours north of Pittsburgh and 2 hours south of Erie. Just wondered where you grew up.
Hi, Ann. I was born in Pittsburgh, adopted as a newborn, and raised in Erie County (Union City area). I went to college at IUP, graduated in 1994, and lived in the Erie area a couple of years before moving to Colorado for good in 1998. I have family in Erie, an hour or so from Clarion off 80 in DuBois, Punxsutawney, a few over in Reading, etc. I appreciate you watching!!!!
>not toasting the buns
Absolutely inedible
0:03 Ellensburg rodeo?!!!!
Greatest show on dirt
Every labor day weekend; except 2020.
Your sausage sandwiches look great, and your sweatshirt has me feeling nostalgic. I loved going to that rodeo as a kid😊
What is that table you have left a pretty nice table is that a black song prep cart let me know please thanks for the rolls are in the sauces are
Hello Todd have you tried HP brown sauce from the UK if you have not try and get some it is as you yanks call things it is awesome well worth a try i love the variety of sauces you get in America i suppose each state has its own unique sauces . have you seen the dude from Oklahoma he does great American Burgers cooks them out side on on purpose made griddle love your videos god bless America.
If you ever get to
california, there is a place called Lockeford meats that has the best sausage i've ever eaten. The "Hot beer."...among others is epic and conversationworthy, yet worth the wait in line to get it in your possession! AND Belly.
Do look good
Heat setting?
How come you can’t buy a 36” lid as a retro fit?
I would love to be ur neighbor!!
Todd, is it possible to purchase a blackstone canopy? I'd love to help support blackstone with a canopy for all to see. Thanks
Hi Mike - Blackstone doesn't sell the canopies. The Blackstone logo ones you see me using from time to time are pro touring models. The 10 x 10s are about $1,300 each so we just have them for the company's marketing needs. God bless!
I grew up calling them Bombers.
You could take the wedges of the roll that you cut out and make garlic bread sticks out of them
You could OR you could do this with them???? ruclips.net/video/ws5T7U_Ra54/видео.html
