- Chicago Sunday morning after winter storm Harper. The city got hit with 5 inches of snow and then temperatures dropped to single digits. Flight with DJI Mavic 2 Pro in low temperatures (10 Fahrenheit, -13 Celsius) and a little snow falling. Really no issues to report. I was curious how it will perform but great footage and worked like a champ.
Equipment used -
DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone.
Processed and Edited in Premiere Pro.

Thank you very much Michael. Really appreciate it. What is Phily family? Some channel, group? Let me know.
Very inspiring video. Beautiful landscapes. Music creates wonderful atmosphere. Man, this is awesome!!!
Thanks Vadym. It was challenging weather. My fingers froze:) Music is crusial as always. You know that:) I'm glad you liked it.
Sweeeeeeet! Do you by chance recommend any good LUTS for editing in post production? I just got the DJI Mavic Pro 2 & I'm excited to see how the footage looks! I'm trying to find some great LUTS for the drone footage. 😀
Thanks. I do not really use LUTS. All videos are color corrected by me. I spent some time to do that and try to make it my own feel. Still not perfect but I'm happy with results. I have heard that DJI website has some LUTS ready to use and free.
@@chrisbiela Ohhh I didn't know this! Thanks! :)

Nice video, I was there for Thanksgiving and I wanted to bring my drone and do some videos but I was afraid I might get into trouble around the city. I love going to millennium park could have made some nice videos.
There are beautiful places to fly around in the city. Nice perspective from high up. Maybe next time:) Thanks
This is an absolutely amazing video!! You should totally share your amazing aerial captures over at AirVuz!! Airvuz is just like youtube but specifically for drone vids! Go give it a look!!
Thanks man. Will definitely check that out.
Love the vids and the tunes!
Thank you
How was your battery life? I've been aching to get mine out (in Wisconsin) - just a little concerned about flight times in the cold weather
I was a little skeptical but surprisingly batteries hold up well. They were 100% charged and I had over 20 min. of flying time - easily. I tested it few weeks before and my not fully charged batteries drained out fairly quickly in much warmer temperatures. Keep an eye on the battery % though.
@@chrisbiela - Great, thanks for the info! Thinking I might give it a go this weekend, I've been staring at it for the last week and a half. Love your footage, very cool perspective on the city!
Thank you. Glad I could help.
@@charleslindorfer9911 One thing I could mention when flying in that cold of weather, be careful of condensation when bringing it back into a warm climate.
Super!
Thanks

Do you need a pilot license to shoot in these areas? I know the new laws can be tricky
To fly recreational drone everything was within FAA limits. Flights are not higher than 400 feet, drone is in the operator’s line of sight, and I was flying between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Plus on Sunday morning with 10 F the city looked deserted so there was no big crowds to fly over. I was not trying to fly in the city between the buildings because lots of people lost their drones due to interference and lost connection. I had two places when my drone stopped and restriction showed on my screen. Had to turn back.
