Tenortalker I've never forgotten her my daughter's favorite soprano her acting ability was incredible diction. wish you could do German French Italian Russian Etc Her beautiful Dusky soprano childlike quality innocent and pure she'll make you cry like a baby go on RUclips listen to all her stuff are used to be a lot more than taking it off she sang for the best Tenors in the world in Europe Sincerely Arnold Bourbon Amaral👴🌹🌎🌏🌍🇬🇧🇮🇹🇪🇸🇫🇷🇺🇸🇩🇪🇷🇺👑🎻🎹
Esta escena es magnífica, tan, tan real. La expresividad y la mímica del bello rostro de Plácido le impregnan un realismo pocas veces visto en un escenario. Ambos son fantásticos, vibran en una misma sintonía, son realmente maravillosos !!
gosh, Placido was so cute here! and I've always loved her...they're so great here together! this Covant Garden production was amazing. just was the new one at the Met - and I miss the old one!
I have this wonderful opera on DVD and am watching it as I type. Ileana is my all time favorite soprano. She shares a singing characteristic that my favorite tenor, Maestro Domingo, possesses: the ability to color her voice at will. With natural instinct for what shade to pick and when to blend them deeper with the emotions in her acting, making every performance unique and unforgettable. Only these two can make me weep. There are far too few examples of these two exemplary singing actors working together. Gwynne Howell is wonderful as her pere. Only young people who discriminate against elders think Maestro Domingo should go away already. He still has his tenor voice. You should hear him in concerts, which he still performs. Thanks to his wise care of his instrument, though now heavier with vibrato (and?), he still sounds like what he's been his whole life... the finest tenor ever born. He sings baritone roles because he wants to stay in the game. Those who love him -- and we number in the millions -- don't care that he isn't a career baritone. He still sounds amazing. We want to hear him, still. He loves the theatre so very much. Considering all he has given to opera and the world with his immense talent and gentle soul, I say give me more. Search here for "placido domingo curtain calls" and see for yourself how he is still selling out tickets and still getting bouquets thrown at him and still getting "bravo!" shouted at him and still getting rousing standing ovations. Don't feel sorry for him. He's doing great. Don't want to forgive his having gotten old? Then leave us all alone and go watch Bieber.
Elaine Duncan you think? She's past her prime here what if you never heard of before she sounds great. In the 70s She ruled as purest lyric soprano. Mimi Traviata incredible Gilda the list goes on and on she was great she can make you cry like a baby my daughter loved her. We bought her Traviata and vinyl it's excellent. I can say no more sincerely Arnold Bourbon Amaral 🌹🌍🌏🌎👴🇬🇧🇮🇹🇪🇸🇫🇷🇺🇸🇩🇪🇷🇺🎻🎹
Erica Leslie Also go on line & see the musical score as written by the composer the Tales of Hoffmann by Offenbach I hope this helps my friend. 🌍🌏🌎🎶🎵🎻👱👴 MUSIC WITHOUT BOUNDARIES

Gracias a Dios esto está grabado para siempre !!!...
Two sublime artists in glorious condition.
A golden memory.
My favourite pairing. Her Micaela and his José in the act 1 duet in Carmen is second to none. It’s a masterclass.

Still one of the greatest tenors who ver walked this earth (and still is going pretty strong as a baritone now)
Geras duetas!
Bello!!!
Mucho me gusta los cuentos Hoffman,me gustaría verlos completo, ¿puede ser??
I think that Cotrubas was an underrated singer.
Agree.

Erica Leslie, did you find them?
It’s very simple French enunciated very clearly.
