Weekend in Bakewell - Greenhills Holiday Park

- In this video we stay at Greenhills Holiday Park just outside Bakewell. The town of Bakewell is within walking distance of the site which is great for exploring the local area. Join us as we visit the town, pick up a Bakewell tart and sample some beers at the Thornbridge Brewery. We also take the dogs on a lovely autumnal walk at Padley Gorge.

Just come across your channel and really enjoy them, we have a Rollerteam 707 but I am looking into the possibility of downsizing and using as a second everyday vehicle. Great tip for brunch, must try👍 . We will be going to the Chatsworth site in a couple of weeks so this video is very useful. Definitely going to have a look round Bakewell.

Can definitely recommend using a transporter as a daily driver, as that’s what we do 👍🏻

Oh pizza! Fancy that ! How lucky 🤣. We went to Bakewell this year-lord it gets busy -will go back, but not on a weekend 😳. We travelled in on the bus from Dale Farm at Longstone, then walked back along the Monsal Trail. However, thinking of the dogs, it’s a bit far maybe. I only say that as you say yourself, they’re not as young as they used to be. Great for a run Lou!!

Yes its pretty busy in Bakewell isn’t it! Lovely town though. We’ll have to check out Dale Farm campsite and the Monsal Trail as we’re not familiar with it.
Yes we try not to overdo it with the dogs nowadays. Especially with Dallas. He’s brilliant for 12 years old and still loves his walks but he definitely shows hints of his age sometimes bless him. Thanks for watching again 😊
Just watched this and subscribed. How you manage in a 5m van with two huge dogs is incredible. We have a T6.1 camper and our teacup Yorkie seems to take up so much space. Keep up the good work. Happy camping.

Hi just found your channel and thus the greenhills holiday park will be ideal for our first trip in our new transporter T6 T32 watched a few other videos and av come to the assumption that most cook outside under the awning, my van came with same type of awning as yours so looks simple to erect but does the job to keep the rain off. Look forward to watching your other ventures, and would like to ask your recommendations for best cooking equipment to buy.

Hi, congratulations on your new transporter! Exciting times ahead!
We cook both outdoors and indoors to be honest. It depends what we’re cooking. If it’s something that we think will stink the van out, we’ll cook outside. If it’s something like heating a couple of crumpets, we’ll cook inside. Also depends a bit on the weather too 😂
We love our wind out awning. It’s great for giving a bit of shelter to cook under and a dry area to stand when you get in and out of the van.
For cooking equipment, we don’t think you can go far wrong with Cadac products.
