    That's a damn fine looking car. And I love the fact you got the gears changing beautifully. Great job!!
    I just love that engine rumble. 😍😍 Not any high revving small capacity strain.

    I had a 68 Torino wagon with a 302 for a short while. Always felt like I was killing the engine from 65 mph up. Npt sure what the final was, but I always thought it was probably higher than the 3.25 that was common. Yours sounds like a real cruiser now!

      Very cool John, the goal for this car was just to make it highway friendly and take it everywhere. It’s definitely a great cruiser now!

    I have to go the other way with my '76 Valiant V8 sedan- I'm doing overdrive, but converting it to the era correct A-833 OD gearbox in the FE case, not aluminum...liking your work & efforts, the car is looking great. I've done a full Bergman Auto Craft suspension/steering/ brake material upgrade, K-member is perimeter welded, 3" skid plate, 8.75" retro-fit (3.23 sure-grip gears), 12" rotors from a '77 Cordoba, US Car Tool chassis stiffening (subframe connectors, torque boxes, A-pillar-to-top of the shock mount, core support reinforcement). It's not too rough a ride, definitely firm, but very useable and handles far beyond what any regular, domestic, vintage sedan should be able to do. I even kept the small trailer hitch on the car

    I replaced the c4 in our 73 Mach 1 with an AOD. No regrets. I did have to bump my Throttle Valve pressure to 39 PSI to get it to shift at higher road speeds. That worked our well.

    hey Omar, congratulations on your barn Find Hunter episode. It must have been cool to hang with THE man. sorry to hear about your cracked block. I just got a 390 back from the machine shop and reinstalled in my 64' T-bird and it's pretty sweet. Next step some rust repair and paint. now I am working on a 64 F-100 with a 292 y block. the roof has a bunch of areas of rust through so I am going to venture into my first attempts at body work. I just got done repainting the cab interior in its factory carribean turquoise and I just used a very soft paint brush. it turned out great and so much less complicated than spraying. cheers, David

      With a 3.00 gear ratio and tire combo, it’s supposed to run at 1800rpm at 70mph according to the calculator but I will confirm with a tachometer.

      Hello from Norway! I got a stock roller 5.0 and Aod out of a 86’T-bird that i just put in my 1955 Mercury Monterey. Edelbrock carb ,performer 289, electric fuelpump and a set of longtube headers and dual exhaust paired with the original rear end. I think it is 3.15 and stock tiresize, cruises 60mph at 1400rpm on the tach😎👍 Fun little cruiser and the OD definitely helps when you’re on the gas pumps!😅

    Ok si puenteas los cables en la starter no dispara el solenoide asi que no enganchara con el aro dental ocupas el cable chico para que el solenoide dispare.

      Yo creo es diferente la foto de msd. En un starter msd, punentan los dos en el starter y tienen un cable gordo al normal. Yo creo Que es lo mismo si pones el cable gordo normal en el diente no?. Lo unico es encontrar una conneccion del cable gordo rojo 4Ga al diente chico y pontear los dos puntos. Es un poco dificil explicar haha

    That trans cooler fit in there like it was made for it. I thought I heard some squealing going on a @ 17: 50 but it was just you filling up , price of gas I guess . lol Aod has a better first gear ratio than original trans?

    • @OmarRamirezGalaxie
      @OmarRamirezGalaxie  8 месяцев назад +1

      Haha yes the price of fuel is high here, I’m not too sure on the specs. I believe the gears are all mostly the same except for the 4th of course. I’ll be doing an overview with all the info on the AOD vs the C4 soon!

    Success! Great! I have a shy question: Is this rattling sound coming from the windows? It is distracting a bit from the cool ride. To have this overdrive makes the car smoother and faster and the ride much more relaxed. I love this car, the colour, the fastback body stile and your knowledge is amazing. I am a mechanical idiot and I would never have the courage to change and adapt the transmission like that. I am really the body and paint guy.

    • @OmarRamirezGalaxie
      @OmarRamirezGalaxie  5 месяцев назад +1

      Haha yes the window rattles which is on my to do list. Definitely distracting when I’m driving. The overdrive makes this into a totally different car, I feel confident I can drive it anywhere

    Very nice! I just rebuilt the Cruise-0-matic in my 64 Galaxie, so I probably won't be doing this, but if my trans ever goes, this is the ticket. Was the Torino originally a column shift and someone cut the floorboard to make it a floor shift with console?

    • @OmarRamirezGalaxie
      @OmarRamirezGalaxie  6 месяцев назад +1

      My car was originally a column shift. Previous owner had converted it to a floor shift with a mustang shifter but it was done very bad. I had to source all the correct parts to make it work.

    Nice work Buddy. Installing a 393W and AOD in my 69 Mustang right now. Does it always go into OD at around 70 mph or did you make an adjustment? Did you retain the lock up torque converter? Keep up the good work sir.

    • @OmarRamirezGalaxie
      @OmarRamirezGalaxie  7 месяцев назад +1

      I’ve been driving the car a lot more. The transmission will kick into overdrive depending on how much throttle you give it at a certain rpm. Mine does shift at 45mph if I’m slowly getting up to speed. If I’m hammering on it will go into OD at a later speed about 60~70mph. Has the stock converter from the 93 t bird. I kept the adjustment at 35psi

    • @OmarRamirezGalaxie

      Always in OD. The only time I put it in drive is if I’m on a steep hill, that way it doesn’t switch in and out of overdrive
